So please tell me, why do you think Kristen, your girl, right? Kristen?
Yes, sir.
Why do you think she's cheating on you with men in prison?
Well, when I first got with her, she was with a guy in prison for about a month or so. She has his name tattooed on her.
Oh, okay.
Was talking about marriage and all that. Was talking about marriage after a month.
Oh, wow.
Being with him. And I mean, she be talking to a lot of guys that's locked up.
Oh, so she has a history of talking to inmates?
Yes.
Wow, okay.
She has about 5 different guys' names tattooed on her.
Wow. 5 different guys, okay.
About 5, yep.
Hold on, does she have your name tattooed on you?
I've been with her for like 2 years and don't have my initials on her.
But she got 5 different guys?
But 5 different guys.
Okay, wow.
That's locked up.
Yeah, that's locked up.
Right.
Wow, okay then. How did you and Krista get together? Let me ask you that.
I met her off Facebook. I hit her up on Facebook and she responded.
Yeah.
And I went and met her at her work and—
It was good from there.
It was good from there.
Okay, what happened at the beginning of your relationship?
She was talking about having a threesome with some guy and a girl, but I don't know if that really happened. I just found it in her phone.
Wow, okay. So it wasn't even with you, it was with somebody else?
Right.
So y'all are starting your relationship and you found on her phone that she's about to have a threesome with somebody else?
Yes, sir, yep.
Okay. So what happened with Kristen in November?
I found some pictures of her naked in the phone. And I sure ain't take them pictures. I sure ain't take them pictures. They weren't coming to me.
Yeah.
So then the phone ends up in the toilet broke. Like, it fell in the toilet. She said it fell out my hoodie pocket.
Oh my God.
It fell.
So you find the photos, you question her about it, and all of a sudden the phone is broke?
Absolutely.
So do you think Kristen has a secret phone?
Yeah, she was on the phone with her work. They was talking about giving her a phone. I ain't never seen this phone.
Yeah.
Never seen the phone ever.
Uh-huh. But, and so like that makes it, because I'm like, who would destroy their phone over photos? But if I have another phone—
She ain't worried about that phone.
She's not worried about it. Okay. Do you and Chrysta live together?
Yeah, she's moved in with me about 2 months, month and a half after we got together.
Got it.
And she's been with me ever since.
Y'all move fast. Why so fast?
Well, her sister kicked her out 'cause she ain't like her staying with me or whatever.
Yeah.
And then she just told her find a place for her to lay her head.
So then you felt like, all right, let me just take her in anyway.
Yep.
You fell quick.
Yeah.
Okay then. When was the last time you were in a long-term relationship?
It's been like 20 years.
20 years.
Okay.
That makes sense. Because I'm like, if you moved that quick, it's because there was probably a lacking, a desire to want that love and wanna be with somebody.
Right.
Why do you think Kristen is cheating on you at work?
Well, she goes to work 4 days a week and her hours don't add up to what she's bringing home. I mean, it's simple math.
Yeah.
There's a couple hours lacking here, a couple hours lacking there.
So you think she's going somewhere?
Right.
Got it. Have women cheated on you before in the past?
Yes, they have.
They have. Okay. Okay, so you get a sense of what it could feel like or you see the pattern?
Yeah, I know a snake when I see one.
Got it.
Okay.
Well listen, it's time to hear what Kristen has to say about all of this. So everyone please help me welcome Kristen to the show.
It's all lies. Every single bit of it's lies.
It's lies?
Yes.
All of it is lies. So let me just ask you, are you cheating on Bryan?
Hell no, I've never cheated on him a day in my life.
Never cheated on him? You love him?
All this phone shit.
You're crazy.
Crazy?
No, I'm not. How often does Bryan just accuse you of cheating?
Every single day, every minute, every second of the day, and I'm tired of it. I'm not cheating on him.
Tell me about the boyfriend you had before Bryan.
Yes, I met him.
Show me the tattoo.
I have 'em right there. Oh.
And all the other ones? You might as well get naked.
So you have multiple men tattooed on you?
Yes.
Okay then. And it causes an issue in your relationship with him?
Yes, it does.
Yeah, okay.
But it shouldn't. They're in the past, they don't matter.
Okay then. And how did you and this—
But I be finding stuff in your phone all the time.
We're gonna end this today. I'm not cheating on you.
Got it. Well, tell me, how did you and this man start dating?
He messaged me on Facebook. He started telling me things I wanna hear. I'm beautiful, I'm this.
Another inmate.
Okay.
Somebody in jail.
How serious was that relationship?
Man. Um, it was serious. We was gonna get married.
You were gonna get married?
Been with him a month.
You said what now?
He was with— she was— they was together a month.
A month?
And never seen each other.
Oh wow.
Never met each other.
And you were gonna get married?
Yes, I was.
Okay then.
Wow.
How many inmates have you dated?
Um, probably like 3 or 4.
3 or 4 inmates? And out of the 5 tattoos you have, how many of them are inmates?
3 of 'em.
3 of them, okay then. Did you ever meet with any of them in person? Any of the inmates?
Yes, 3 of 'em. Not the one on my chest that he's talking about, no.
Okay, so you met 3 of the inmates in person out of the 4?
Yes.
And then the 4th was the one that you had never met but you almost got married to?
Yes.
And you meet them in jail?
Yes.
Okay then. And why do you get their names tattooed on you?
Just to prove that I love 'em.
Okay. Where's my name at? I've been with you almost 2 years.
So do you understand why he could feel some ways? Because he's saying you haven't met these men. You've never met these men or you met them briefly, they're in prison. And he's like, I've been with you for 2 years. And he says he loves you, he's with you and you have not extended that gesture.
I wanna get these covered up 'cause I want it to mean something 'cause they're all mistakes.
They're all mistakes.
Yes.
So your goal is to get those covered and then— It's to show him like, they're in the past.
Yes.
I want you.
Yes.
Were any of those jail relationships outside of jail or were they all locked up in the whole time?
One of 'em was outside of jail.
So the rest of them, they were all locked up the entire time?
Yes.
Okay. Okay, got it. Are you still talking to any inmates?
No, I haven't talked to any since before I met him.
Got it. So 2 years ago was the last time you talked to an inmate?
Yeah, I be seeing stuff on Facebook.
So you see stuff on Facebook so you don't believe him?
I see stuff pop up, like the WRJ website, all that just pops up on my phone and I don't look up no inmates in jail. Yeah.
If he's saying that he's seen it with his own eyes, what is he saying?
But he does never show me. He never shows me the proof.
Got it.
I'm tired of being accused. I'm not doing nothing. I'm not cheating on him. I love him very much.
So can I ask you a question? 'Cause I wanna actually go a little bit deeper with you just for a second outside of this relationship. What is the attraction to only dating men in prison? I mean, these men, yes, they've had pasts and they deserve love as well. But my question for you is why do you center or focus just on men who are in jail when there's many men who are free that you could actually engage in a relationship with?
Um, but I feel like they can't cheat on me.
Okay.
I never cheated on you. I'm as faithful as can be.
He's saying he's never cheated. He's saying he's loved you.
And I know, and I've never cheated on him. I'm not cheating.
Okay then. Okay. So the reason you go for these men is because you feel like, well, I can have sex some sense of control over their behavior. I can sort of put my guard down because they're not around. Do you put your guard down with the man who's in love with you now?
Not really. He's accusing me of cheating all the time. I can't even talk. I can't even have a conversation with another man without him tripping out.
Okay.
You definitely can.
So you're saying you haven't been able to put your guard down with him?
No.
Okay. Anybody outside these inmates ever cheated on you?
Yes, I've been cheated on all my life.
So both of you have felt The pain of being cheated on.
Yes.
So for him, he's saying, I felt the pain of being cheated on and thus I'm not gonna cheat on you. I want to have transparency. But he feels like you are still keeping secrets and doing things. What did you say about that?
I'm not.
You're not?
I'm not cheating on him.
'Cause he also made accusation that you tried to have a threesome with other people. Is that true?
Yes, that was in the very beginning before I didn't think we were serious. I thought he was fooling me, a bullcrap.
Okay, okay.
And it never happened.
Okay. It never happened?
No.
Okay.
And I find it in the phone.
And I didn't hide it.
Okay.
I did not. I didn't think we was serious.
Got it. Okay. And so this is before you moved in month 2? Yes. Okay then. Are you spending time with other men when you're supposed to be working?
'Cause that's the scrutiny. Absolutely not. I come home, I go to work, and that's it.
That's going on. But he's saying the math ain't mathing with your paycheck.
I don't know what he's talking about.
It adds up. It adds up to you.
Hell no.
Okay. Do you think Bryan will ever trust you in this relationship?
I mean, he's got to or I'm done with this being accused. I'm done being treated like that when I'm not doing nothing wrong to him.
So once we find that—
We're gonna see in the phone.
So if we find nothing's in her phone, will you trust her?
Yeah, I'm gonna try my hardest. I will trust her. Trust you?
Yeah.
Well, this is a double standard because you're saying, I'm gonna try my hardest. You brought her here to say, I'm gonna search and if I don't see anything, that wouldn't give you and say, okay, let me, 'cause she's saying the accusation is why she can't let her guard down. So if we don't find anything, you're not gonna let your— you're not gonna—
Yeah, I'm gonna trust her. Yeah, I'll trust her more, yeah.
Okay. All right, well, I think it's time to unlock the phone. Kristen, we unlocked your phone.
Uh-oh.
Bryan, you wanna know if Kristen is messaging any other men. She says she is not. My Unlock the Phone investigator searched her apps and found that Kristen Is telling the truth.
I told you, I told you. I told you.
Bryan, you wanna know if Kristen is searching for any inmates online. She says she is not. My Unlock the Phone investigator searched her phone and found that Kristen is not telling the truth. My investigator found 69 web searches for active inmates with some as recently as last week.
He gets on my phone and searches because he thinks I'm—
So you're saying that's him searching for images?
He gets on my phone and pretends to be me all the time.
I have looked a couple times, but that's me pulling up what she's looking for.
Did you check 69 times?
No.
Hey, he lays on that phone constantly and checks. Yes, he does.
No. Okay. Well, okay, so we're not sure on that because you're saying that sometimes you do check.
But not 69 times. Okay.
You didn't.
Well, Brian, you wanna know if Kristen is communicating with any other men. She says she's not. My Unlock the Phone investigator searched her calls and found that Kristen is not telling the truth. There were 2 outgoing calls made to the Western Regional Jail just last month.
Screw you. How was it me?
Yes, it was. You called and asked of a guy that I was, the one on my arm that I was talking to. You did.
Admit it.
Admit you.
I would've asked.
'Cause you did.
Why would I call and ask about a guy?
'Cause you wanna see if he's actually in there. Yes, you did.
Wow. Why do I care if he's in there?
It's fucking you, Karamo. I'm not talking to nobody. You do this and you need to admit to it, 'cause I'm tired of being accused. I'm not cheating on you.
Man, I seen— how was you asking for some guy in there? I wasn't asking for no guy in there.
You was looking in the phone, Bryan.
So what would make me call the jail and ask if you was there?
What makes you do a lot of things you do accuse me of?
'Cause you're a snake.
No, I'm definitely not.
So this is interesting, because I can't tell if I'm looking at a manipulator, or if I'm looking at someone who's paranoid. Because you're saying that he is the one who grabbed your phone, made the calls. You're admitting to some of it.
Yes, I was the one who grabbed her phone.
But then you're also saying you didn't do that.
Man, I ain't do no 69 times, Karamo.
Okay, and you're saying you did not call some guy in jail even though she's saying it?
No, not last week.
Y'all see what I'm saying? I don't know if I'm looking at a manipulator or someone who's paranoid. What I do know that I'm looking at is that of a relationship that has no foundation of trust, And there is nothing but accusations that is being thrown back and forth to each other that is keeping you both in a cycle of feeling hurt and in pain. Why would you stay in this? Why are you staying in this?
'Cause I love him. I really love him.
I mean, I love her. I do love her, but I just don't want, I don't wanna be hurt.
Yeah. Okay. So I understand both of you don't wanna be hurt. That's why I asked you the questions about why are you only going after inmates? I could see that there was some pattern there about you picking picking men who are not going to be physically available to you so that there could be some control over what happens to your emotions. And vice versa, when I asked you earlier if you've been in relationships and you said, I haven't been in one in 20 years, lets me know that you've had a wall up or a guard up because you have been hurt in the past and now you've protected yourself. But unfortunately, both of you having severe trust issues is leaning into this relationship. So the only thing I have to say to you is either two things. One, you separate. and you be by yourself and you heal the trust issues. Or you make a commitment when you leave this stage today to say, I'm gonna trust you, you must trust me. And this is non-negotiable. And this is going to be just, I'm not gonna check your phone anymore. You live your life, I'm gonna live my life. I'm gonna trust when you go to work, I'm gonna go to work. And unless we have physical proof of you looking at somebody, meaning I walk in and I see you and somebody else having sex, or I see you and someone else holding hands, I'm not gonna make an accusation. Those are the only 2 options you have, 'cause otherwise, if you stay together and stay in this pattern, it's gonna get worse and worse and it's only going to feed into the trust issues that you already have. The choice is yours. Which one?
I mean, I'm willing to work on it.
It's not work on it. It's a choice.
I'm gonna take the choice of trusting her.
So that means that from this day on—
No more accusations.
You can't look at a phone. You can't, it's what you see.
Right.
It's only what you see. And vice versa. If he makes an accusation, if he says something, You say you already made that choice and you've broken the choice, I gotta leave. That's the boundary of this relationship that makes it now going from a cycle to being a boundary where you can actually leave to be healthy. So do you commit to say from this point on, I'm not gonna accuse you either?
Yes.
Tell him.
From this point on, I'm not gonna accuse you either.
Now the minute she accuses you, the minute she does something, instead of you gonna say, I'm leaving, that's it. But now this is the other part that I wanna say to this. If you get triggered where you feel like, ugh, I feel like my woman is cheating on me, I feel like my man is cheating on me, that's where instead of you saying, why you doing this? I want you to pause, hold her hands, and I want you to say, grab her hands right now, we gonna do this. Grab the other one, look in her eyes, and you gonna say, baby.
Baby.
I'm feeling insecure.
I'm feeling insecure.
How can we get closer so these insecurities can go away?
How can we get closer so these insecurities can go away?
And that's gonna be your cue to say, Let me talk to you.
Let me talk to you.
Let me alleviate these. You see what I'm talking about? That's how you stop the cycle. So when the insecurity come up, you hold on. 'Cause what I don't know right now, I don't have any real proof. Again, like I said, I don't know if I'm looking at a manipulator, I don't know if I'm looking at somebody paranoid, but I am looking at people that are saying that they wanna be together. Y'all need more of this connection. This is what heals trust issues, staring at each other, just looking at each other's eyes. Connecting. Both of y'all got an issue with doing that, which means that this intimacy work is something y'all need to work on. Y'all assignment is once a day, y'all hold hands like this for 3 minutes. And I know y'all think that's a short amount of time. Wait till y'all have to sit in silence for 3 minutes looking at each other. It's an intimacy exercise that I've given couples before that allows you to actually start to build the trust and rebuild the bond, okay?
Okay.
Listen, I wish you two the best of luck. And I wish you two, and when I say luck, I mean healing. I mean you all finding love and support with each other. So I need both of y'all to work on this, all right?
Yep.
All right, thank y'all for being here today and I wish y'all the best of luck.
You are.
Make sure to come back next time, friends, so we can keep talking and growing.
I love you all.
