Not So Picture-Perfect Family At War Over Cheating Accusations | KARAMO

In this episode of the Karamo talk‑show, host Karamo mediates a heated dispute between Jeremiah and Nancy, a couple who have been together for four years and share two children. Jeremiah alleges that Nancy has been cheating, lying about money, and hiding a second Cash App card, even questioning the paternity of their children. DNA tests later confirmed both children are his, but his mistrust persists, leading him to demand that Nancy’s phone be unlocked for proof. Karamo unlocks the phone, finds no messages, calls, photos, or apps indicating infidelity, but uncovers a pattern of abusive, paranoid, and gaslighting text exchanges from Jeremiah toward Nancy. Nancy describes daily accusations, emotional distress at work, and feeling trapped by Jeremiah’s psychological abuse. Karamo confronts Jeremiah, labeling his behavior as psychological abuse and gaslighting, and urges both parties to recognize the toxic dynamics. The host provides direct intervention, encouraging Nancy to assert her worth, stop tolerating abuse, and offering his contact for support, while urging Jeremiah to apologize and change his behavior. The episode ends with Karamo prompting viewers to subscribe.

Jeremiah and Nancy have been together for 4 years and have 2 beautiful children. On the outside, they may appear to be a happy family, but behind the scenes, they are at war with each other over cheating accusations. Jeremiah is convinced that Nancy lies to him every day. He even questioned whether their 2 children were his. Jeremiah's convinced that unlocking Nancy's phone will reveal that his suspicions have been warranted all along. So please everyone, help me welcome Jeremiah to my show. So I wanna start off, Jeremiah, tell me, how did you meet Nancy?
I was walking by her house one day and they were having a little get-together, a couple of our mutual associates, and I stopped by and started talking to 'em and I was like, well, we gotta keep it down over here. Well, we can be as loud as we want at my house, so let's go to my house, we can party. You know, so we get down to my house, we partied and we danced and we had a blast. Spent the whole night trying to talk to her, trying to gain her attentions over somebody else, and I think I won it, and I walked her home at the end of the night. I stole a kiss from her before I left. And then I didn't hear from her for 4 months.
Wow, really?
Yep, and then she called me out the blue, and we got together, and it's just, that was it. We've been together since.
So when did you start to suspect that Nancy was cheating?
About a year after our relationship, a little while after our first child was born. I noticed that some money had been missing and she started lying to me about, well, she made me think that I was crazy. Eventually, after about a month, she finally admitted that she had lost some money. And then next thing I know, I'm leaving one day and I go out the door and I'm like, do I need to shut this door? She was like, no, if anybody walks in, I'll make sure that they leave. I'm not gonna let anybody in here. And I was like, okay, so I left and come back and I knew somebody had been in my house. I just knew it. And then about last week I found that she had a Cash App card that she was, she had started to, she had opened up another Cash App card without telling me. And it's just constant, constant lies.
So what other lies have she told you to make you think she's cheating?
Well, we get in an argument, she'll go home, 'cause she lives up the street from me. And she'll say she's been at home all night and then come to find out she hasn't been at home.
So things that are inconsistent for you just make you think that.
Just constant inconsistencies, just constant.
So I know that you have two children together and that there was a DNA test tests done on your kids. Tell me about that.
Yeah, I wasn't, after so many lies and when she was pregnant with the second child, I started having doubts. You know, we nipped it in the bud and we had the DNA tests done, and they are both mine. Got it. I have PTSD. I have post-traumatic slut disorder. I have been with, I've got 5 baby mamas and 2 of them I know have cheated on me.
Hold on, did you say post-traumatic slut disorder?
Yes.
Girl, that slipped right through. I was like, okay, PTSD. And I was like, okay. So when did you, so when you found out the kids were yours, how'd they make you feel?
Oh, I mean, I was ecstatic. I was, of course, you know, it was like, you know, 10 pounds off my chest, you know, it was a sigh of relief.
You can't get over this PTSD. I mean, you said you got 5 baby mamas, so you a bit of a slut too. I mean, let's not just shame the women. I'm just saying.
I've been with everyone, everyone's been with me. All of the mothers of my children I've been in love with and I planned on being with until they decided that it was time to call it quits.
Got it. But you know, jokes aside, when you do have a lot of relationships that you feel failed and you don't feel like you have the answers why, it does cause you to start being distrustful of new relationships.
Oh yes, yes, exactly.
And so you're in a space right now where you are, whether you wanna acknowledge it or not, you are hurting from your past relationships, you're hurting from relationships that failed and it's causing some type of insecurities in you of like, Why another failed relationship?
It is, 'cause I told her when we first got together, I said, just anything you want, just don't lie to me. Just don't lie to me, don't try to hide things from me. Because I have issues with that, I have serious trust issues with that. And once you start lying, I turn into an investigator. I start looking into everything. Every which way you move, everywhere you're going, what you're doing, who you're with, and I can't stop.
So you want me to unlock Nancy's phone. What are you hoping you'll find?
I'm hoping you don't find nothing.
Nancy, first of all, I wanna say hello. Thank you. I'm great to meet you. You know what I mean? I know you heated. You heard some stuff back there, but I wanna start here because I wanna hear your side of the story. So when did Jeremiah start accusing you of cheating?
Well, about 3 years ago, shortly after our first child. So I was sitting at the house and his friend just walked in, walked straight in, went into the kitchen, sat down and was on his phone. Now, I was on my phone talking to a friend of mine, so no, I didn't say anything to him. A few minutes goes by and he says, "All right, Nancy, I'll see you later," and he walks right out the door. So that was it. That was the whole thing. His roommate at the time came home and he had asked me when he came to the house if anyone was there and I told him no. I just didn't want to have the argument with, "No, I didn't tell them to leave," you know? So I just said no, no one was there.
I understand how you can feel distrust, but I also understand your side. So why do you live separately? Because I know you don't live together.
No, we don't live together.
And why?
He originally, he did ask me to move in with him when we first got together and I said, "That's a little too soon." You know, it's only been a couple months. It was shortly after I ended up pregnant. So I just didn't wanna do that.
And how far apart do you all live?
3 houses.
Got it. So you're still close.
Literally right down the street. Yeah, that's good. We're right down the street from each other. So yeah, so.
And so even though you're not living together, how often does he accuse you of cheating?
Almost every day.
Yeah, every single day?
Almost every day, yeah.
How is he as a father?
He's great. Awesome. He's a great dad.
What's making you emotional right now?
Just, he's such a great person, but when he turns crazy, it's so overwhelming. I can't, it takes my whole ability to do anything at work. It breaks me down. I can't work. I've sat in the bathroom at work and cried just because it's so stressful. It took me an hour one night, almost an hour to count money because he kept calling. Just give me 5 minutes, let me get this money counted so I can get out of the store and he's still calling.
At the beginning of that day you had no problem showing me what you was doing behind the cash register and stuff, but then that evening all of a sudden, I know something's going on and I try to call her and all of a sudden she's hiding stuff. Now she doesn't wanna show me anything, Now she doesn't, now she's cussing me. No, we're talking about when you're in the back room.
I have assistants in there.
It doesn't matter.
Why you in the back room?
It shouldn't matter where I'm at as long as I'm at work. If I'm at work, I'm working. I don't have time to do anything else.
But you had no problem when you're out front, in front of the register, you got no problem. When you're around customers, but when you're supposed to be by yourself, you're not by yourself.
You said that he acts crazy, but what I'm hearing is that you're being harassed when you're at work. Why do you constantly stay with him if he's harassing you at work and if he's accusing you of cheating and doing all these things?
'Cause when all these things are happening, he's just the greatest person. I love being with him.
So he has brought you here today, unlock your phone.
Yes.
Are you worried that he'll find anything?
No, absolutely not.
Why are you so confident?
Because I'd have to do something for you to find something.
Have you ever questioned about his phone?
No.
I leave my phone unlocked. She can go through it anytime she wants.
It's the same with him. He's got my password. He goes through my phone constantly. He'll look over my shoulder at things and I'll just hand him my phone. Just here, go through it. I have nothing to hide.
Got it. Well, are you ready to find out?
Okay. Talk to coworkers at work.
So as I said before, we did unlock your phone, Nancy, and we went back several years. And Jeremiah, I have to tell you, There was no messages, no calls, no photos, no apps, no direct messages. There was nothing found on Nancy's phone. Nothing. I'm sorry. Nothing.
All this time I told you there was nothing on there.
But you started lying to me. You started lying to me about stuff.
Doesn't mean I'm cheating.
Yeah, but you lied about it.
It never meant I was cheating. Now, there was something that was found on the phone. I asked my producers to look at your text messages. 'cause I need to see how you two are interacting with each other. So I had them print up, because we did not have enough time to put this in graphics. This is how we do here, real time proof. Because if I really wanna help you, so I went through and I started to look at your text messages to each other. And I'm seeing things like this where you have said, Jeremiah, these are your direct words. You came on the show, you asked for my help. You said, so, fuck your feelings. "You're an fucking liar. I'm not stupid, Nancy." Her response, "I love you. I'm going to sleep." This message was at 6:00 AM. You then said on other days, "Yeah, your receipts are different. Now you're in some slick stuff. I knew you were fucking lying. I'll stop when you do." I'm looking at the text. I can see this is hurting you. These are texts that you receive often from him. I went through because I personally want to see for my own eyes what kind of messages you were getting.
They're horrible messages. They're horrible.
I told her I was a monster. I told her she started lying to me, I was gonna turn into a monster.
No, no, no, no. Because the thing is, is that I've just proven that she's not lying to you.
I know.
So what you just said is that when she lies to you, I turn to a monster. You have been a monster on your own. I'm reading page after page of text messages. I see you're tearing up because I wanna see, I wanna ask you, what is going through your mind when you're getting these text messages from him?
It's not him.
No, no, no, no. What am I gonna do? No, no, no. Listen, listen sister, because listen, I'm here to support you and help you. What you're gonna have to stop doing is disassociating one part of his behavior with another part of behavior. This is him. I am looking at it. This is who he is. I'm reading the text. He is someone who is paranoid and he is someone who is psychologically abusing you on a daily. Yeah. I heard that you had trust issues. I understand that. But trust areas doesn't allow you to be psychologically and verbally abusive to somebody that you're with who is also the mother of your children. What is your endgame with this? What is your goal by sending these type of messages?
To finally draw her out, see if I can get her to admit that she would—
Admit the truth I've been telling? Admit what I've already been telling you?
All the lies.
What I've already been telling you?
No, no, no, no, no. So this is the thing, this is the thing, this thing we've established right now, because what we can't do is continue the bad behavior. What we established right now is there is no lies. So no longer can you gaslight her and say the lies, the lies, the lies. There has been no lies.
No, there hasn't.
There has only been— She's on her phone, but she hasn't lied. You asked for proof. You asked for proof. We went through. There is no lies here. So there's no more gaslighting and saying, "Well, I'm acting this way because of your lies." There is no lies. There is only your paranoia and your psychological abuse. And so I'm gonna ask you again, now that you know there's no lies there, what is your endgame in all of this?
I'm— to go home and try to do my damnedest to apologize and make up for The monster that I have, I've been. It's the only thing I can do.
I don't think you're gonna stop.
Bingo, sister. Let me tell you something. He is not going to stop. So this is where I want you to focus on me really quickly because you have been in a situation where you have told me, and I asked you this question before, have you been in relationships before where men have psychologically physically or emotionally abused you, and you said yes. And so what's going on is that you're in a relationship with a man who had your children, and so you're like trying to find the good in him. You're trying to see the best in him. You're trying to make the best of it, but by making the best of it, you're making the worst for yourself. You do not, you do not deserve to be in a relationship where you have to deal with psychological abuse every single day. You know that in your heart, but what you have to do is you have to start taking actions. You don't deserve someone calling you when you're at work checking on you. You don't deserve someone being paranoid. You don't deserve anyone treating you this way. And you have to start believing that because at the end of the day, the more you disassociate and say, you know what, this is you on this day, you're good here, but you're bad on this day, all you're doing is keeping yourself in a cycle of abuse. It is time for you to get off of the trains, okay? Get off of it. Get off the cycle. No more riding this bike. Time for you to stop and look at him and say the paranoia, look at him right now. The paranoia.
The paranoia.
I don't deserve.
I don't deserve.
The psychological abuse.
I don't deserve psychological abuse either.
Thank you. I don't deserve either of that. And from now on, repeat after me with him.
Look at him. From now on, when you start acting paranoid, From now on when you start acting paranoid.
From now on when you start giving me psychological abuse.
When you start giving me psychological abuse.
I am going to walk away from you because I'm going to start to learn.
I'm gonna walk away from you 'cause I'm gonna start to learn.
That I am worth more than this.
I'm worth more. I'm worth more than this.
Good job.
I am.
Brother, I'm not gonna say that you're a bad man. I'm not gonna say, listen, trauma affects us all in different ways. But what I gotta say to you is that no more, no more gaslighting her, no more having your paranoia get the best of her, no more of any of this stuff. She doesn't deserve this anymore. And today this stops. And if this doesn't stop and you feel a little bit unsure and you feel like, I don't know if I can do this, I'm gonna give you my number, girl, and you give me a call and I'm gonna pump you up. You hear me? All right, everybody. Hold on, where you going? I'll tell you where you're going. Right here to subscribe and right here to watch more. Period.
