And all of a sudden, all of us got your name on our t-shirts. We've seen this before. I don't ever wanna be wearing a t-shirt with y'all names on it. So Ronesha came to my show because she was concerned her children were getting involved with a gang. They were acting out in school, fighting, and even carrying guns. That's what got me. Ronesha was desperate to get through to her children, and their father even sent this heartfelt letter pleading to them to change their ways. And you all at home were invested in seeing these young Black children turn over a new leaf. And y'all were even sounding off in the comments, so I want to take a look at what y'all had to say. Your mother is pleading for you to not go down there, to not die.
I just want y'all to be better. That's it. Can you look at your mother? Bring our bond back together.
I like how the mother isn't shaming and talking bad about them, but supporting them and making them feel like someone is actually there for them. Listen, this mother wanted her children to have a better life. She She was showing up. She was doing the work. And that's why it was important for me to try to support her in the best way I could, because these kids, you know, they were going through something. And that's what we were trying to figure out, because they had a mom that loved them and was there. And so it was hard. But kudos to all moms that just show up and are doing the do. I see you.
I took y'all out the ghetto.
Look at your mother.
I took y'all from the hood. So I'm not understanding where y'all saying that y'all in the hood and in this environment. If that's the case, I would have left us in the hood. I'm trying to save the kids.
This was a hard show to watch. Very heartbreaking because this was me with my son back in 2017. He was incarcerated until 2021, but has turned his life around and has his own family now. Yay! It's never too late if they get the right help. God bless this mom trying to get the help her kids deserve. Yes, it's never too late. And I love that we have stories like this because these stories right here Somebody listening will be like, oh my gosh, I'm going through this. And you realize that, yeah, it might be dark, but the storm won't last forever. Please listen to your mom. I know you are a talented little girl. You can run, play basketball. Please do the right thing for your mom. Stop following those friends. She got teary eyes when Karamo read her dad's letter. She's mad and I love the mother. She's trying her best for her kids. This little baby just started to get teary-eyed and was trying so hard to block their emotions. And when you get to that place where you just have to be tough all the time, you know, you gotta ask yourself, why is my kid feeling they have to be tough? At that core of that question is when we find the answer that's going to help this family start to heal, help these kids start to make better choices. These are very smart kids you got here. You got beautiful kids. I think I got some resources that I want to help to give for you, Jay, because the thing is, is that there's a reason why you don't wanna express yourself and you don't wanna be vulnerable. I love the way Karamo speaks directly to each person, finding a solution for each individual. Everybody received the message. One of the goals for me is always to make sure that every guest knows that I see them and I hear them and I'm gonna respond to them individually. Because I think sometimes when people give advice, they give this blanket advice that it's like, well, this doesn't really speak directly to what I'm needing or what I'm doing, or this doesn't speak directly to what they're needing or doing. And so for me, I try to like make sure as I'm giving the overall advice, it's also like, but these are the steps. This is the commitment you can take for you to be better. And so I appreciate you seeing that. You know, at the end of the day, we are rooting for these beautiful, beautiful children. Keep coming back so we can keep connecting. Hold up, hold up. Where are you going? I know you want to watch more Karamo, so click here to subscribe and click here to watch more so we can keep talking and growing, friends. I love you.
