A woman reveals her father was a child molester who abused her sisters, leading to their placement in state custody. She says not being raised by him was a positive outcome and that not knowing him doesn't affect her, emphasizing her strength as a Black woman.
So what new information about your father had you discovered after you spoke to his other daughters?
It was nothing to discover. Uh-uh, found out he was a child molester. Oh.
Really? Mm-hmm. Oh yeah, that part.
Wow. That he molested Erica and another one of our sisters. Oh my gosh. And they got taken away and put in state custody. So I feel like us not being raised by him, that was a great thing.
Yeah. Very good. Yes. What does it do to you two to have these doubts of not knowing who your father is potentially?
It's not gonna change anything because he never was in our lives. We're strong, independent Black women and we got this no matter what.
