In this episode of Karamo’s talk‑show, Karamo sits down with Tonya (referred to as Tanya) and Ariana to unpack a long‑standing family conflict over paternity claims. Tonya asserts that her father’s name appears on her birth certificate and that the paperwork Ariana presented at a 2017 Thanksgiving gathering was falsified, citing mismatched signatures. Ariana, claiming she was instructed by their sister Aisha to bring proof that she is Sonny’s daughter, defends the documents and questions Tonya’s motives. The conversation spirals through accusations of lies, accusations of teenage “trifling,” and a history of family tension, including a baby‑shower incident where Tonya, pregnant and high‑risk at 37, felt betrayed. Karamo probes the events surrounding Thanksgiving 2017, the baby shower, and the father’s memorial, seeking to understand each participant’s perspective, the role of other siblings (Aisha, Samantha), and the emotional weight of recent losses (their mother and a sister). The dialogue reveals deep fractures, competing narratives about identity, and a desire from Tonya for resolution, while Ariana remains defensive and dismissive. The episode showcases Karamo’s mediating questions, the participants’ emotional volatility, and the broader themes of family loyalty, documentation legitimacy, and grief.

I was raised by him. Were you?
Like, you talking about a celebrity-trained girl.
But he didn't even claim you.
Tonya.
He didn't know who you are.
Who are you?
Where'd you come from?
Nobody needs to know.
But where'd you come from?
The people in my life know who I am.
Who's the people in your life?
The people that love you.
The people who told you he's your father?
The people that love me. Again, who are you? Why am I supposed to care about how you feel?
It's how I feel. That's what we're trying to talk about. It's what I want.
Who cares?
I care. And everybody else cares. Everybody.
Tanya, welcome to the show. Thank you so much for being here.
Hi, welcome.
I gotta ask you, why do you think she's lying about being somebody's auntie?
Because she knows.
At the end of the day, I have a birth certificate and my father's name is signed on my birth certificate. Wolfrey, the paperwork that she brought 10 years after—
How many people's fathers is on their birth certificate out here?
10 years after she said—
Unfortunately, it doesn't happen for all of our families.
She shows up at a Thanksgiving with all these falsified documents with a signature that doesn't match on my birth certificate. So whose signature was it? Your mom's?
Oh, I didn't even, girl, bye. I'm just saying. That paperwork's so old you could barely see signatures. Let's actually be clear. We wanna talk about it.
That's what you're going off of. Oh, I'm going off of it. That's what we're using. So if they're gonna use it, let's use it. If not, then let's make it irrelevant.
Tanya, I'd love to take a seat from you.
Oh, okay.
So I wanna know, so what happened on Thanksgiving 2017? 'Cause I heard about the baby shower.
Oh God, so.
What happened Thanksgiving?
We get invited by my sister Aisha. To Thanksgiving. We all decide to go. Ariana shows up with a whole envelope of proof that she's Sonny's daughter.
Your sister asked you to bring that?
I'm like, what's the purpose? Why are you bringing this? If you know he's your father, then like, why do we need paperwork?
'Cause Aisha told me to bring it.
And you did exactly what she told you to do, per usual.
She asked me to bring, girl, by all means.
So you saw the paperwork and that upset you?
Per usual. I saw the paperwork and like other family members, we thought it was falsified.
Got it.
Period.
Never heard of we, it's always been you.
We thought it was falsified.
It's always been you.
And there was multiple people who thought it was falsified.
It's always been you.
But I'm the only one who has the balls to speak up and say it.
Have you ever tried to have a relationship with her?
I tried, but like she's just teen trifling. I tried to extend the olive branch and be the big sister.
If you have these underlying issues about Sonny not being my father, why you try? Keep your energy, girl.
I kept my energy, but at the end of the day— Yes, I did.
You just said you tried to extend the olive branch, right?
I invited you to my baby shower, and at my baby shower, you decided to be a minion of Aisha and start to go to the other sibling and ask lies. And then you went back to Aisha and told lies to Aisha and started a whole drama while I'm high-risk pregnancy at 37 years old with my child. And you knew I was high-risk pregnancy.
That family member brought it back to you drama.
No, that family member brought it back to me because she said what you said. What you said to her was a lie. You lied about everything, per usual.
What did she say?
She said that that other family member said that she wanted to fight Ayesha, basically. But in her terms was like whoop her ass or something like that in that effect.
Do you and Ayesha get into a fight?
Really? Me and Ayesha?
Yeah.
No, never.
Okay, never. Okay. So how do you feel when she showed up at your father's memorial?
I didn't care at that time. I was grieving. I lost my father. I had just reconnected with him, got all the other sisters reconnected with him. And when I reconnected with him before he passed, once again, named all my siblings, no Ari. So at the end of the day, I'm only going off of what my father said.
Got it. How's your relationship with your other sisters? Do you have doubts about them being your sisters? About Aisha?
No, Aisha and I favor, we're the only two that favor. I didn't question Samantha until recently when she let me know that he might not be her father. So I was like, oh, I never, that's news to me. So at the end of the day, like we're just here for the results to find out. I lost my mom and my sister recently. So family's everything to me. At the end of the day, I just want it to be over. I'm over the, I'm just, it's.
