So why is Tyrone denying your son?
I don't really understand why he's denying my son. He's listening to other people and what other people is telling him.
Got it.
But let's just get down to it. Last year, September 17th, I broke up with this boy. It was nothing more after that. I gave him the boot. It was no more talking. September 25th, I came on my period. I got off September 29th. I met Tyrone, which would be the next day, which would be September 30th.
September 17th. You said 20th?
25th.
25th, uh-huh.
And then I met Tyrone September 30th.
September 30th, okay.
Yes. I found out after September 30th, me and Tyrone exchanged numbers on the bus when I was coming back from taking my daughter to the hospital. He asked for my number.
Okay.
I gave it to him. We started texting and talking after that. Physically meeting back up again was October 10th. The same day we met up, we had intercourse.
Okay.
After that, it was every day after that.
Okay.
Like literally every day after that.
Every day, okay. Okay, everybody gets it.
I supposed to came on my period October 25th, I didn't. I called my friend 'cause I was panicking, I was scared, I'm like, "Girl, I ain't coming on, what's going on?" So she bought me a pregnancy test.
Okay.
I took the test, it came back I was pregnant. I told Tyrone the same day, he told me I should kill my son, get an abortion. I agreed to it and then we had seen my son for the first time, which would be November the 16th.
Okay.
I heard my son heartbeat, everything changed. It was over. I decided I wanted to keep my son. I had to realize it was my body. Nobody could tell me what to do with my body.
Okay, got it. Oh good, hold on. I love my producers. Why am I over here doing the same chart?
I didn't plan it out.
I'm literally doing the same chart right now and y'all are over here doing the same. I appreciate it. Okay, now we got this together. Okay, September 10th, the 29th. Okay, November 16th, heard the heartbeat. Okay, cool.
So after that, Tyrone was still saying I should get an abortion. He went to only 3 doctor's appointments with me.
Yes.
It made me emotional, it made me sad 'cause I feel as though I had to go through everything alone when I didn't do this alone.
And so it's been from the beginning he's been denying?
Yes, he's been denying my son from the beginning.
From the beginning.
From the beginning.
Let me give you this right here.
—because I see your eyes wide open. Yes, he been denying my son from the beginning.
Well, Tyrone has something to say before the show, so let's take a look. Okay.
This ain't the first time that somebody pinned a baby on me that was not mine. And I think she lying about who the child father really is. She was talking to other people and she lied to me about saying that she wasn't and she was, playing good games throughout her whole pregnancy. I find out that she had a boyfriend when we was talking. In November. Then she was sending naked pictures to one of her ex-boyfriends for some $45. I told her to get an abortion and she agreed on it. So I thought she was gonna do it, but she did not. I told her that I have enough kids already, that I ain't want no more. And she still kept 'em. To be honest, I don't really don't want the baby to be mine. I'm not going to get trapped by her.
"Just leave me alone." Okay, hold on. So he said 9?
Yes, he has 9 kids already. My son makes 10.
Okay. And so like, it's the same timeline. You're saying that like, he asked for the divorce, everything you said, he just said. Yes. But you weren't together during this time. No. So even if you had somebody else later from what your timeline is, that—
It wouldn't matter because it was before you. Got it.
And that's when your argument's gonna come in.
Yeah, that's what I keep telling him. It was before you, so, "You keep saying the time don't match up. I know that my son is yours 'cause you're the only person I was dealing with in October." My baby shower came in May. He told me he was gonna come. He didn't come. He lied. I felt so alone. I cried because I was there by myself when he's supposed to been there with me. I was stressed out so much. My son didn't supposed to be born till July 1st. I was stressed out so much, the fluid around my son started getting low. So I had to get an induction with my son. So I had my son June 22nd. He was there at the hospital with me, but he was still denying my son, saying my son was too light-skinned to be his.
And how old is your son now?
My son is 2 months. 2 months.
So this is very recent for you. Yes. So you've just had the baby, you've been dealing with the stress all the way up until recently.
Yes, and I just want to prove to him today that my son is his so he could stop mistreating me and my son. Like, treat my son like you treat the rest of your kids. Yeah. OK. He didn't ask to be here.
Yeah. OK, well, I think I'm ready to meet Tyrone so we can hear his side of this story. So everyone, please welcome Tyrone to the show. Does Tyrone not want to come out?
Does he don't want to come out?
Tyrone doesn't want to come out? He doesn't want to come out? Oh, well, she about to go get him.
OK. I need you to come on, so come on. And I need you to go. Come on, Tyrone.
Katina, I love you. You did my job. I was about to go back there. You said, "I got this." Tyrone, thank you for being here, man. I appreciate you being here, man. Take a seat for me. 'Cause I wanna know, why don't you think you're her son's father?
Because, man, she was playing games too much. The whole time since she been pregnant. Not with only me, with other guys and everything else too.
Okay. Did you tell her to get an abortion? Yes, I did. And she said yes, she told us that. Yes, I did.
We had agreed on it and she didn't get one yet.
Yeah, 'cause I changed my mind. I decided I wanted my son. 'Cause you was listening to other people.
Did you know that she had decided not to get one? Yeah, I did. Okay, so she communicated with you.
I told him that I didn't want to get one and he still wanted me to get one.
Got it. How many other children do you have?
I got enough.
I got enough. Is there another woman that you feel is pinning a baby on you?
No, ain't no other woman besides this one.
Okay, so this would be number 9? Basically. Do you not want more kids? Nah, not right now. You don't want more kids. So why did you use a condom?
That's the same thing I asked.
Seriously, why did you use a condom?
It was feeling good at first.
It was feeling good at first. At some point, if you don't want more kids, it's gotta be like, let me do my part.
Okay, but, okay, yeah, but I understand all that though. But she was playing games and everything else too.
But can you, I wanna hear this from you, man to man. Can you at least agree with that, that like if you knew you weren't ready for more children, that you could have taken responsibility to do it?
Yeah, I could have used a condom, but I didn't.
Okay then, okay. The first, yeah, you ain't use a condom the first time, but you could have used it all the rest of the times and you decided not to.
Either one of us could have bought condoms that night, but we didn't.
I understand, I understand. Listen, there's accountability on both sides. There's accountability on both sides. The only reason I was saying the accountability for you is because if you're gonna ask her to do something something as extreme to her body as having an abortion, which is her choice and her right, then you need to make sure that you're also saying like, I will be accountable for what extremities I'm gonna do to my body. Have you ever met her son? I know you were in the hospital.
Did you get to spend any time?
Yes, he met my son. He still comes around my son. Oh, you do go around?
Yeah. Yeah, okay then.
She still bring the baby around. Do you want him to be yours? No, not really.
Not really? No. Do you want to be in a relationship with her? No.
No, not at all. You saying something?
Hold on, before you say anything, because no matter what happens with the results.
Exactly. Did you hear what he said?
Because I know sometimes we like to hear what we wanna hear.
Yeah, what we wanna hear, but I heard exactly what he said.
Just wanted to make sure.
I just don't want my son to keep getting mistreated. I want him to be treated like everybody else.
He ain't gonna be mistreated.
Well, I think it's time to unlock the DNA truth here. The DNA truth is in this envelope and this is not my truth to open, this is your truth. Are you ready for this?
Yes, I'm ready for it.
What's the deep breath for?
'Cause I've been waiting for this DNA test to prove to him that my son is his 'cause I know for a fact that my son is his and I just want the world and him to know the truth that my son is his.
Are you nervous at all?
I'm a little nervous but, mm, but like I told her, he a cute baby and all that. But me, I don't think he mine. But if he is—
You don't think he's yours?
Yeah, 'cause my son likes him.
If he is, if he is. Uh-huh, okay.
Well, it's your truth to open when you're ready. Okay.
Zahar is Tyrone's biological son. I told you that he was your son. I been told you he was your son. I would never pin a baby on you. I would never do that.
Okay, I apologize, but I still don't wanna be with you.
That's cool. As long as you there for your son. That's excellent.
Can I have this, Karamo? Oh, it's yours to keep. So it's number 9 now. How do you feel?
I mean, I feel—
Listen, you can be real with it. I got 2 and I'm overwhelmed. So you talking about 9? So I know you overwhelmed. There's a level of stress that comes with that. Yeah, it is. Yeah, yeah.
I mean, I feel sad, but like I said, I guess I gotta do what I gotta do.
Yeah, yeah, I hear that.
And this is like a lot of relief off of me. Yeah, I bet it is. I mean, I feel emotional because I knew from the jump that my son was his and I was telling the truth and I was still getting told that I was lying.
I mean, anybody come here with that timeline, you had specific date, date, date, date, date, date.
Yeah, I was going.
Okay, but I was doing my calculations.
You do your calculations. My paper's out to the side. Hardcore, like—
We know that 2-month-old is yours now. We know that. I would encourage you to get a lifetime supply of condoms, all right? Before you do end up with number 10. In all sincerity. But you said that he was there for his other kids, but at least you also have clarity that the relationship is not. So the best thing for you to do is co-parent from this point on. All right, seriously. Seriously. And if you need some advice for that, I got, you know, I got some advice for you, all right? I got a little series called Co-Parenting Unlocked. I can— I got some stuff for you to help you out, all right? Yes. But good luck, y'all. I wish y'all the best of luck.
Thank you. Thank you.
