Someone spent their life searching for their absent father with almost no information. They turned to the internet and shows like Maury hoping for leads. Karamo explains why the show exists to help people find missing family members.
I've been looking for my father for my whole life. Wow. And it's been a mystery for me since I was a child, like not knowing my identity or where I come from.
What did your mom tell you about the father when you were a kid?
She just told me bits and pieces of him. She did tell me his name, you know, how he looked and stuff like that. And she always used to say I favored him a lot. So what I did, I reached out to, went through the internet to see who I could go through. I looked up Maury.
Uh-huh, yeah.
And I said, what about Karamo?
Amen, okay. I appreciate that. Thank you, I appreciate that. Listen, like one of the greatest gifts, like when Maury had left his show and we talked about it, was being able to connect families.
Yes.
Because people don't understand how important this is. And when you don't have any resources, you don't know who can call. Yes. So thank you for reaching out to us.
Yes.
And so—
I was excited because I didn't think he was gonna call me back. Yeah, girl, we wanna help people.
