A man describes how his partner's hurtful behavior changed how he treats her, creating a toxic cycle. The counselor points to text messages showing the damage and urges him to dig deep, especially since children may be involved and he could be their father.
Making the choice to be with her and not support the kids. And I'm hearing from her brother that you were a different type of man. What happened in your life that changed?
Well, really her, like her attitude, the way she treated me. This how I changed as the way I treated her. How she treated me is how I started treating her.
I can understand that, but I do think you need to do some digging on what changed you because the relationship, This is one thing. This relationship, I can already see from those text messages, are toxic. But if you as a man potentially could be the father of these children, you gotta do some self-digging to figure out what has changed within you.
Yeah.
And that has nothing to do, that has nothing to do with the potential mother of your children.
It's like the stuff she says, it's like, it really hurt me because I have really told her like some stuff I never told anybody. And when she throws it back in my face, it really hurts me.
