Welcome to Talk Tex Ghost. This is where you, my friends, send me questions about what's going on in your life and I give you some advice. So, let's go. All right, so, this first one says, I was stalking my ex's sister on Instagram and accidentally liked her photo from 2014. What do I do? Well, the first question is, why are you stalking her page? Like, what's going on? Why your ex's sister? Are you trying to find more information about your ex? Do you like this sister? What's going on while you're on the sister's page? Because that's a little weird to me. But one of the things that I know about Instagram is that if you like an old photo and you try to unlike it, there's already been a message sent to the person saying that you like the photo. So just own it. Send a quick message and say, hey, I was feeling nostalgic. Went on your page, scrolled back to see if there was a photo of all of us from back in the day. Might be weird, but I wanted to see, and I liked the photo. No harm, no foul. And just own it and move on. The more you try to avoid it, the more you don't say anything, is the more awkward it becomes. So in this case, do not ghost, just text them and be cute about it. Okay, my roommate is cheating on his girlfriend. She comes over every day and I have to act fake. I feel so much pressure keeping his dirty secret. Should I tell her? If so, how? This is a good one. Your household is messy, girl. Y'all are messy. See, I have this devil and angel on me. Devil's like, girl, I don't want to be uncomfortable in my own house, so I'm about to tell your business, girl. I have no time for this. If you're not going to speak up, let me say something. The angel on me is like, you know what, it's not my business. Like, just keep the peace in the house, like, don't say anything. In this case, and you never hear me say this, goodbye to the angel and hello devil. I am about to say, hey, if you don't say something, I'm gonna tell your girl because I'm tired of being uncomfortable in my own house. Listen, after I got past, um, living in a dorm room, I said I'm never going to be uncomfortable in a home that I have to live in. That's an opportunity for, first of all, for you to give them a chance to say, you speak up, tell the truth. But if they can't do it, Honey, drop a hint. Let the new boo know that somebody else is coming in the house. No need for you to act fake. Come in and just be like, "Oh, I didn't know if you or the other girl was coming today." Just say that and then walk away. Drop the bomb, walk away. In this case, it's talk about it. I've been trying to make plans with a good childhood friend for weeks. However, they flaked 3 times in a row now. What's the best way to address this? Okay, this one is a talk about it. If they are a good childhood friend, you should have enough of a relationship to be able to say, hey, what's going on? But then I would say to you is, what's your boundaries? How many times before someone flakes on you before you say, you know what, my time is just as valuable, and that I can't keep coming around somebody who flakes on me? Just saying, boo. Next one. "I keep running into my ex who cheated on me 5 years ago. Seeing him is bringing back old feelings and thinking I want to rekindle things. What's the best way to do it?" To ghost him. Girl, do not. I do not know why people love running back to relationships that already ended. You just said he cheated on you 5 years ago. Girl, don't rekindle nothing unless you've had a couple of conversations, talks, and you know that he is a changed man. Ghost his ass. Don't rekindle no feelings, it's not cute. One of my friends has been trying to become an influencer, but everyone has been laughing at her cringeworthy TikToks behind her back. Should I tell her? If so, how? This is one where you should talk, definitely. I hate the fact that the friends are laughing behind her back for something that she's trying to do. That's shady, and I don't like that because those ain't your real friends. If the TikToks are cringeworthy, I would wonder why. Is it because They just aren't good, like they make people uncomfortable. Like, what is it? Put it in a constructive way so they can help them grow. My partner and I have been trying to conceive via IVF. While my partner's parents have been supportive, mine have not. Even though we're not close, I still want to update them on this life-altering journey. What is the healthiest way to communicate with them about this? So this one is a text for me. Set a clear boundary with your parents of how you plan on moving forward. Say, I'm sending you these things because I want you to be updated, not because I want your opinion or your feedback. Be clear in that first text about what the relationship will be as you're opening up to them about your journey. If you don't do that, then you're leaving it open for them to feel like, well, I can interpret this anyway, say whatever I want, and you don't need that. This way, As you're sharing your journey with them, they can then say, "Oh, okay, great, I love it." And if they try to give you some feedback you don't want, you can say, "Refer to text number 1. Girl, I told you I want your feedback, I just want to share this journey." Next one. I met a guy at a bar a couple of months ago and we've had a low-key fling ever since. Cute, I love a little bar fling. However, yesterday was my first day at my new job and guess who I saw in a photo on my new boss's desk? The guy, the worst part, he's her husband. What do I do? Girl, girl, you talk about this with him and let him know that, hey, first, you're an asshole for not telling me you were married. Secondly, your wife is my new boss, and I will show her every single text message you ever sent me and everything that we've ever done. If you don't tell her. Y'all lives is messy, girl. All right, friends, if you have any questions that you want my advice for, go ahead and email me. I will answer them. Or better yet, come on my show and be a guest. Go to karamoshow.com to tell me your story. I want to help you. Come on the show. It'd be good for us to meet and talk about this in real life.
