You have been on my heart and mind. There's guests that honestly, after they leave my show, I talk about them with producers, I ask about them, and you are one of them because your story meant a lot to me because I could see that you just wanted answers. You were just a little girl saying, "Someone tell me what's going on in my life." So please tell me from your opinion, what happened after the show?
Well, after the show, So I ended up taking another DNA test with the guy that we mentioned last time. He wasn't my dad. I did Ancestry and I kind of found some answers, but not like the direct answer to where I was going. And I kind of broke it down, but before I sent it in, okay, I told my mom, I called her, I was like, 'cause we were talking at that time. Before we stopped talking and then started talking again. So I called her and I was like, hey, I just put my DNA test in the mail. I was like, it's about to get sent off. And she tells me, oh, so-and-so could be a chance. I was like, okay, so where has this so-and-so been the entire time? 'Cause I've asked you repeatedly over and over and over who could be a possibility and you've told me over and over and over, I don't know. And I think you're lying, you do know.
And then all of a sudden she comes out with this name.
Yes, and then she comes out with this name and I was like, Okay, so I wait 6 weeks, you know, and the stuff comes back and I'm breaking it down and I tell her like, hey, actually I think he is my dad. And she's like, I'm busy, I gotta go, and hangs up.
Oh. So in your opinion, it's because of your mother why this is taking so long?
Yeah. I mean, I didn't sleep with all those guys.
Yeah, no, I understand. No, I'm with you, I'm with you. I just wanna make sure because the thing is when you tell me that the relationship with your mother is still it sounds like the relationship is still toxic. How's your relationship with her as of today?
It's, we're working on it, I guess. I mean, I have a lot of mixed emotions right now, 'cause part of me is like, she's my mom and I wanna work on it, but then again, she has did me worse than anybody else has ever done me. One of the comments why she wouldn't help me figure it out at first is 'cause she said, you're an adult, I ain't gotta worry about you no more. I was like, it doesn't matter if I'm an adult or not, I'm still your kid.
Yeah.
You know? And—
What does your mother say when you ask her about your father?
She don't know.
That's all she says?
That's all she says.
She doesn't give you any other type of answers, anything at all?
No, she's like, I don't know, I was messed up and I was doing stuff I wasn't supposed to. That's not an excuse. 'Cause you gave me 6 different other guys' names. But you don't know who my dad is.
Has this search been putting a strain on your relationship? Is that what's causing the strain?
A lot of it is 'cause she don't care. Like if she showed more sympathy and acted like she actually cared about me, I wouldn't feel the way I do, but she don't care. She's made it clear, like we've been offered on the show multiple times. The first time it was supposed to be me and her and she said, I do not care. I don't wanna do it, so.
Do you think your mother loves you?
I think she has love for me. I don't think she loves me like how a mother should, 'cause I have my own kids and never in a million years will I ever look at my daughter or my son after they turn 18 and be like, you're 18, figure it out. You're an adult, I'm not your mom no more, figure it out. 'Cause I couldn't.
Yeah.
Never.
Do you think she understands how frustrating this is for you and how hurtful this is?
I've tried talking to her about it, but every time it flies over her head or in one ear, out the other. She don't care. That's how I feel. And if she did care, she needs to show more emotion.
