"You Told Me To Mess With YOUR Man, Sister!" | KARAMO

Sisters Aniyah and Tasia confront years of betrayal: Tasia had sexual contact with men Aniyah dated, leading to a hotel incident and police call. Both trace the pattern to adoption trauma and a search for validation through older men. Karamo guides them toward acknowledging they don't truly know each other.

Aniyah says the second she introduces her sister to someone, her sister gets real intimate with them. Let's meet Aniyah and see what's going on. So everyone, welcome Aniyah to the show. Hi, Karamo. Oh, you look great. How you doing? I love this outfit. Hi. You look great. How you doing?
I'm fine.
Oh, you look great.
Thank you.
Yeah, you killed it. Come close. So tell me what happened.
I met my sister 4 years ago. This is my blood sister we are talking about. I brung her around 2 guys and I had sexual interaction with these guys. Like, listen, I wasn't like, you know, really locked in with these guys, but I dealt with them. And she had oral sex with both of these guys. So a big thing, like, why I'm here sitting down right now is because it's like broken trust and loyalty with my sister. And I wanna know how can I connect that back without having to look over my shoulder or overthink, you know, because I love her. Like, you know, we got a great bond and this is what's caused us being here. Like, you know, this is why the dent is in our relationship because it's a pattern of things.
[Speaker] Got it, 'cause you saying that's happened with two guys?
[Speaker] Yes, that was the start of it.
[Speaker] The start.
[Speaker] And that just was with two guys, yeah, only.
[Speaker] Okay then. And so how were you two raised? Or how were you raised?
[Speaker] I was adopted. I was raised definitely decent, definitely. Like I came from a well-mannered home. I went through things, you know, that gave me trauma. You know, as time went on, like I said, back 2020, I met my biological family.
Did both of you share the same experience of being adopted in the same experience in your home?
Yes, we was adopted into two different homes.
And both y'all shared similar experience where you felt like there was trauma there?
Yes.
Okay then. And how's the relationship changed since her her betrayal?
It wasn't right then and there because I'm a forgiving person. So, but I never let things go.
Yeah.
So now I'm older, you know, like I just, I'm over it.
Yeah, you over it.
And I'm over it because I found ways to get out of it, to find my peace.
Yeah.
You know?
Okay.
So.
And so you feel like right now when she does these things, she's breaking your peace?
Yes.
Do you trust her to be around the men you date now?
No.
She called the police on you?
Yes, my sister definitely called the police on me.
About, for what?
I told her I was gonna slap her, 'cause due to our altercation when I first met her, I see that she's into older men. So my sister, I was 19, she was 16. So it was like, I was at her house at the moment at that time and she wanted me to go back in the house without her. Her mom asked her, oh well, where's your sister?
She said, where's Tay?
Where is she? I said, oh no, she with her uncle going bowling, stuff like that. She said, oh wow, 11 at night going bowling without you? So now I feel foolish. It made me uncomfortable.
Yeah, because now you've been caught up in something you don't wanna get caught up in.
Yes, and now I'm lying to her. Me and her was talking, I was texting myself, you need to hurry up, come in the house, da da da, your mom acting crazy, da da da, just to get her back in the house fast. So she finally got back in. I guess she wasn't trying to understand where I come from, so it led to an argument. And me coming from where I'm coming from, I'm like, bro, I just feel like slapping you. She like, you slapping me in my own house? This is my house. And respectfully, it is your house, but did I slap you? No.
But she still called the police.
But I told you I was gonna slap you and you still called the police. So the police still came and I'm like, I see the police, I'm like, oh, you really called the police on me? I'm like, oh, now it made me wanna slap you even more.
Yeah. Did she ever apologize for calling the police?
No.
Never. Did she apologize for what she did with the men?
No.
Well, I think it's time to hear your sister's side of the story.
Absolutely.
So everyone, please welcome Tasia to the show.
Let me take a little seat for y'all, 'cause excuse me.
So Tasia, did you mess with her man?
First off, she knew. She told me to mess with him. Let's clock the real tea. Yeah.
Wow.
Let's clock the tea. You told me to mess with your man 'cause you was uncomfortable. You didn't wanna sleep with him in a hotel. Yeah.
Oh, wow.
Yeah, let's clock the tea.
I'm gonna let her talk.
Yeah, so basically, we went to a hotel. You told me to come with you. That's one. Hold on, I'm talking. And I sat there, I went to the hotel with you. You felt uncomfortable with that guy. And yeah, mm. And basically, you sat there, you backed down. He was trying to sleep with you. You were like, oh, Tasia, you good. You go ahead, you could sleep. I'm like, no, Aniah, like, y'all started arguing, we left the hotel. When we left, first off, he came on to me. And I told him I feel weird about my sister.
That's not right. That's not right. Listen, and I could get to the—
Hold on, you had your time to talk.
No, you could talk, but I'mma get to the hotel situation. But I'm talking about the very first time you ever even met him, I asked him to take you home. And you told me he kept asking you to do, give you, get him, whatever, to take you home.
Yeah, and that was after the hotel. That was the first time I gave girls sex.
That was before the hotel.
No, it was after the hotel. I never gave him shit before. Now you lying.
No, I'm not.
Now you're lying. The hotel came after. I don't know who told you that. See, this is the thing about my sister. She hear from other people that slept with the same man. It was never a problem when her friends slept with the same man.
You hear the talk? It was.
It wasn't. She admitted to me.
She told me.
It wasn't. But I told you off rip. No, you did tell me. I did tell you off rip. And this was after the hotel. That's crazy. Y'all, this was after the hotel. Wow. After the hotel, that's the only time I ever gave to this guy. And it's not because originally she wanted me to in a hotel.
So, Tasia, so I wasn't there, so I don't know the exact conversation that happened. So I can't say that you're wrong and I can't say that you're wrong. I will never say that. But can we get to an agreeance that if your sister's saying that now that it hurt me that you slept with a man, then instead of—
And I slept oral sex, please, not to cut you off.
Instead of fighting with it, can you just, is there a place where you both can feel like you can come to a common ground with that?
I did.
We went through—
I'm asking Tasia first.
You're absolutely right. We got through it, she smacked me in my face a month later. And my thing is that she waited till she had alcohol in her system, and then that's when she brought it up.
So you're saying when she drinks, she loses her control?
Yeah, she drinks. My thing is this, as a real woman, if I have an issue, I'm not gonna wait till I'm under the influence to address you about a situation. If you feel some type of way, I apologize. And you know what, maybe it wasn't right to do, even if you agreed to it, maybe it wasn't right to do. And so I apologize if that bottled you up, if that got you in, angry and upset, but at the end of the day, you sat there and agreed to it. But my thing is this, I would appreciate it if you wouldn't have done it in front of a crowd and sat there and explained everything.
Do you feel like she's let you down?
Absolutely.
In what way?
She's definitely let me down multiple times. When you get around a lot of people, you start to act different. You act like I'm not your little sister. You act like I'm somebody else in the street. And I don't appreciate that at all, at all. 'Cause when your friends sat there, my thing is this, multiple of your friends sat there and slept with dudes that you were dealing with. No, that's not true.
You never sat there She admitted this. She called me and she told me. And then she said, your sister got something to tell you 'cause he told me.
But that wasn't the only friend.
And before I came to her, I went to him.
That wasn't the only friend.
I said, that's my little sister. She younger than me.
But stop saying before I— I said, wait a minute, he said, uh, she was willing.
What were you two hoping when you searched for your birth family? Because if you only came in each other's lives 4 years ago, that means 4 years ago you didn't have each other. So what were you hoping to find each other? Were you hoping for connection? What were you hoping for?
Well, I could let— You can speak first if you want to.
I just always, I came from an adopted family that was not really, I was neglected, I was abused. So when I met my family, I really just wanted like a mom to listen to me. I wanted sisters, siblings who played with me, who made me feel special. I grew up, I lost my virginity at 11, y'all. I'm sorry.
Here you go, now. I appreciate it.
It was a lot of insecurities I had when I was younger. So I did grow up young being sexual and I do mess with older guys, but it's just simply because that's what, they listen to me and they pay attention to me. But at the end of the day, I look for love in the wrong places and I learned and I had to grow from sleeping with dudes that didn't care about me. And you know, it definitely had an insecurity about size and stuff, but you know, now I love myself. You know what I'm saying? It's always gonna be big sexy. But at the end of the day, it was just simply, it was too much. And I feel like we didn't know each other when we came around each other. So a lot of things were, you know, we came at each other in a different way.
Anaya, what does it feel like hearing that?
I heard it before, so, you know, it's easy for me to hear it. I heard it before. Like I tell y'all, like I told y'all, I really appreciate, I'm grateful, definitely to God for this opportunity. You understand me? Like, so I'm not doing this for a TV show. I'm doing this 'cause it was an opportunity given and it was outta nowhere. You understand me?
And I'm gonna tell y'all this. So these sisters didn't call the show. One of their friends called the show and said, "I got two sisters that I think could use your help." So you all weren't looking to come on here, but I'm glad you did.
And I'm thankful for having me here. And thank you y'all too for listening and being here. But neither of us is bad people.
You're 21 and 23.
Right.
And which is such a young and vulnerable age for anybody to be figuring out who they are as women. Compounded by the fact that you also went through whatever you went through as children, which you've said outta your own mouth, "I have my own trauma from it." You just shared some of yours, which we appreciate your vulnerability. So compounded with that, being 21 and 23, and then on top of that, that cake is this layer of now you're also a stranger that I'm supposed to love, that I'm supposed to know, and I'm supposed to do for. And so it's similar to a relationship that you meet somebody and it goes too quick, too fast. So the one piece of advice that I could give you both is to say to your sister, I don't know you and you don't know me. And even though we've known each other for 4 years, you don't know her and she does not know you.
Right.
And I want you to ask each other, can we learn who we are without all this other, what everybody else says and without what's gone in the past? I'm telling you, it's a step that I've used many times in helping families come together. Say, I don't know you.
Friend.
I want you to turn to your sister right now and say, I don't know you.
I don't know you. Girl, I don't know you.
But I like you.
That scares me, but I would love to.
I wanna get to know you, sister.
Okay, good. What you just did there, I'm telling you, people don't realize it's a simple first step. But you see how both when y'all said that, y'all nervousness both came down, y'all both started laughing. Thank y'all for being here. Everyone at home, stay with us, friends. We'll be right back.
