I've kind of got a real in-depth knowledge of what's going on, and what I really want to do is to go out and share that knowledge with my audience so that I can really get them fired up and empowered and confident to go out and sell better, negotiate better, and to get better deals. Start thinking about how to build. So this is an example of something I built for a client last year. It's about soup.
So basically, step by step, how do we build a pitch? Being a startup brand, you have all these questions And Karen is so knowledgeable. She's very honest and very commercial, able to offer really, really pragmatic good advice to help you on your journey.
As a speaker, I really engage with the audience. I encourage them to participate. I'm not afraid of any questions. Has anybody done any research into who their customers are? Yeah, okay, we've got quite a few. So you've got demographics on Facebook, yeah.
Karen presented very well. You can really understand what she's saying, very knowledgeable about food industry, has a lot of experience. And I think just explaining kind of how the USP works, understanding your target consumer and kind of having different kind of groups and really going into detail what that should be, that really helps.
I think I've got a really good combination of experience. So I've been a buyer, I've been a seller, I've mentored and supported a number of different businesses. But also it's that energy that I give to the delegates that really means that they appreciate and they stay excited and interested in what I'm doing.
Karen's also allowed us to come up to her in the interim and chat to her, so I've done that as well.
Her experience as a buyer is just immediately interesting and attractive, so I can ask her questions and she's been there and done it. So if there's a question that I have about where a particular line is or where to tread or what's the appropriate response to this request, then she'd be able to just answer that pretty swiftly.
So the audience leaves one of my speeches totally fired up to go and sell better. We always try and build up the confidence levels, we build up the toolkit, so there's always some practical solutions for them to implement wherever they're going to sell next.
