You are one of our. I mean, platinum authors, right? Like, here you are four books in. You have two more books coming out before the end of the year.
How.
Tell me about how it feels to bring fiercely cherished beings to the world.
You know, so if I'm really, like, honest and real about it, there's a lot of emotion around sharing fiercely cherished beings. Because my first book was kind of everything I knew intellectually. It's my heart's in it, but it's more. It's more practical. This book was very much received and very much a book of my own journey, of my own struggle with limiting beliefs, with fears, with the things that hold us back. And. And it was those pieces that. And sharing those pieces that makes it kind of, like, bittersweet. Like, it's super exciting to bring it into the world because I really hope it makes an impact for other people. But it's also scary and a little overwhelming because it is so personal and because the words were so sacred to me and how I received them. Mmm.
I feel that. Which to me is. This is proof that this book is gonna go out and change the world. Because when we write books that don't scare us, they're good and they're awesome, but books that, like, are vulnerable. They're like. I don't know if I want anyone to read it. Like, this is intense to put into the world. Those are the books that go out and they touch hearts and they touch people's souls. And I just see that. I see that with your book. I actually haven't cracked it open yet. I keep, like, wanting a delicious moment of time, but I want you to actually, if you can just do, like, Oracle style, right? Like Oracle card style, open the book, land on something. I want you to read it for us.
Let's see. All right. This is a great. This is, like, the craziest one to land on. All right.
That makes it so fun.
So. So one of the things about my book is that there is poems throughout it. So every, like, every chapter and the chapters are really short has at least two poems in it usually. So this is from the chapter on discovering love, ironically, so I must love my complex, overactive, crazy, beautiful mind. Everything comes together in good time. Each connection, concept and clarity will come exactly when and as it should be. I am weird. I am strange. I am crazy. I think crazy thoughts. And I love this about me. I live fully, laugh fully and feel without restraint. As I discover my truest being, I finally begin to reacquaint to reacquaint myself with who she is and the love I feel. I love her creativity, compassion, and courage of steel.
Oh my gosh, Jessica, that's so beautiful.
So something super crazy about that that I just realized in reading it. The last, like the last line of that around creativity, compassion and courage. I wrote that long before I got actually certified in this new multiple brain integration technique, training and approach that I'm using now. And those are the three elements of Creativity is our head brain. Compassion is our heart brain Encourage is our gut brain. And so when we access all three of those, that's when we come alive and access our highest wisdom and have access to our greatest, our inner being or who we are inside. And so it's, it's kind of ironic. I still think it's so funny. I received all of these messages and insights on how to find myself and then love myself, like how to really reconnect. Because I, when I started writing this book was lost. It was an extreme burnout. I didn't like, couldn't navigate life. And so I started to receive this and I thought it was going to be a pretty like, step by step process, and it was definitely not. And so now to have found the science that then validates everything that I experienced, everything that I received is so empowering and impactful. I think, especially for me, I like that. I like to know that there's like substance behind it. Like, I like to know the why and the how and why it works the way that it does. I love that and I love this.
Is how we receive. We receive space spiritually and then we're shown the proof on the outside. Right? Like, you receive these things and then you went out and you were, you were guided to go take that training. You didn't even know what you were doing. You're just like, I know I'm supposed to be at this training and here you are learning everything that you were first spiritually taught, which is, it's like the second witness. You know, we receive it here, then we get to receive it out here. So I just think this book, we don't even know the level. It's going to change people's lives. Like, we don't even know.
Except that.
This is the thing. This is the thing that everyone needs. Everyone needs to learn how to love themselves because we're not taught that.
No, right?
No tools on this.
I don't think I even knew that that was important or like a thing. And for me, it started the first awakening was I read another Freedom House author's book called Brave Naked Truth. And in it she talked about the greatest commandment and that, like, when you read it, that the last line is actually the most important, which is, you know, you have to learn to love your God with all your heart, with all your mind, with all your soul. And then you have to learn to love your neighbor as yourself, which means you have to start by loving yourself and that. I mean, I grew up. My grandfather was a Lutheran pastor. Grew up, you know, full sitting in the first pew of the church every Sunday, you know, doing all the things. And somehow I never got that. I never got that message. And so that was like a huge eye awakening moment for me of, okay, I have to love myself. Before I can like, really truly love or interact with anyone else, I have to love myself. And I think that's the coolest part about the journey is as you love yourself more, you love everyone else more. Yeah.
Oh, my gosh, I love it.
I love it.
What's so interesting and it's not interesting, it's like, perfect time, right? Is that this morning as I was making the prayer video for YouTube and like, the morning video I make today won't go live till tomorrow, right? Like, that's my, my rhythm. So this morning I pull this Mary Magdalene card. I actually, like, sent you a picture of it because it was really beautiful. And it led the prayer practice, which was the words that came out of my mouth was, let me see if I can remember. It was like, you are the greatest love story that you'll ever have. And when I heard those words and they came out of my mouth, it was like, oh, my gosh, this is what Jessica's book is going to do. Like, Jessica's book is going to help people find the love story in them, because we're taught to search outside and find the love out here and find the perfect man and the perfect job and all the things that are going to just make you feel so loved. And your book goes straight to the center, like, no, this.
And I had all those things. Like, I had what on the outside looks like the perfect job.
The I've got a husband.
I've got three kids. I got the outside. Everything looked, like, great. It looked beautiful. White picket fence, beautiful house, you know, all the pieces. But on the inside, like, nothing felt like it was working right. And like, I only this week discovered that the start of this journey came out of my being in extreme burnout. And I didn't even realize that I was in burnout. I didn't even realize how broken down how much I had abused and struggled with myself, with my own identity and trying to please others and get validation from others and get my worth from others. And that I was only loved if others loved me. So everything I did was externally focused and that never brought the fulfillment that I was looking for. And so this book is. I mean, I say this in the book, but that this book is as much for anyone out there, it's as much for me as it is for anyone else. Like, it is gonna be my roadmap for how to keep coming back to myself and working through the things that are challenging, the limiting beliefs and the fears and the things that get in our way of really being loving to ourselves.
I love that. So if you could say, who's the person that's going to really benefit from this book from fiercely cherished beings, who's the person that needs to go buy it on Amazon right now?
So to me, the person that needs fiercely cherished beings is anyone who hasn't walked the path figuring out how to love themselves, who isn't even really sure when they. If they were to sit down and write down who they are outside of the labels that the world puts on us. Because it's easy to do that. It's easy to say, I'm a mom, I'm a vice president, I'm a lawyer, I'm an author. It's easy to put labels and describe ourselves that way. But if you put all those to the side and you can't describe who are you at your core, who are you inside? And you can't love that person, if you can't know it, then you certainly haven't figured out how to love it. So that's kind of the first criteria. If you know it but you don't love it, then that's the second piece. And there's all kinds of things that get in the way. So it's really for anybody that has that hasn't walked that or if people have and they want that, they want more of that story, you know, so if you. I personally love to read and I've read other people's stories and I eat up every book around this self love topic because it feels so good to know someone else has walked that journey too and to hear their experience or their lesson. And it always comes back and helps me with my own journey. And so I think it's either one of those. If you are either don't have it or you've discovered it and you want more of it.
I love it. I love that it's interesting when you say the word self love. I feel like, oh, that word is thrown out so often. And what's interesting is like, this feels like. That feels really superficial. It's like, we gotta come up with the word for this because it's so much deeper. Like, I can feel how, like, deep this is. What word would you call it?
Cherished. Because that's why I didn't put self love on the topic. That's the easiest for people to relate to, but it's about more than just like loving yourself. It's cherishing yourself. It's actively taking care of yourself and it's doing so with intensity. That's the fiercely cherished. Right. It's I'm going to purposefully and intentionally and consistently show up for myself, take care of myself and value myself and figure out how to do that without the need of external validation, external resources to do that, or external validation to give me that.
Yeah, there it is. Fiercely cherished. Obviously. That's it. All right, so that's it. No, we're like, we're changing the lingo in the world. Self love is like, okay, cool, you know, nice. But like, fiercely cherishing yourself, that we are like, there's a brand new path that just got opened up with that.
Well, and it becomes so beautiful when you think about, okay, if I can fiercely cherish my being who I am, if I can take good care and love this being, then we start to do that with others, then we fiercely cherish each other and in our communities through connection. And that is what is so broken today. There's so much brokenness around lack of connection, lack of caring about, truly caring about and cherishing one another. And so I think that's the extension is once you can do it for yourself, that equips you with what you need to, then do that or be that or give that to others.
I love it. I love it. So your book is on Amazon. It's already been ranked, like, number one new release. It's been live for four days.
Right.
So this book is going out. It's making an impact. My invitation is everyone who's watching, like, obviously, go grab a copy for yourself, but grab like five. Because this is the gift that you give to your sisters. This is the gift that you give to your friends. This is the gift that when you know someone who's struggling, you give them this book. Because if we can learn to love this, then we don't have the same struggles. Right. I love what Amma just said. This totally resonates with her. Yes, Amma. I love Amma. Did you see Amma's book channeling session?
I haven't yet.
You gotta go watch it. Alma's amazing. And that's what I mean. I just feel like, especially mothers, we working mothers, like all mothers, like, we are taught to put ourselves last, and then we're taught to go and pour into our children and to love them, which we do. But if we love this first, the love for our children, the love for.
Our family, it just moves so much easier. Absolutely. And I am so passionate about this book. Like, this is not a money making venture for me. This is not my primary business. This is just my journey and what God asked me to do. So we're going to do a summit at the end of September. And for everybody that gets a copy of the book and attends the summit live with questions, you know, participating, I'm going to give five free copies to everybody who attends that summit. So if you. If that motivates you, go get the book. You'll get five more copies of it if you attend the summit. Like, I just want to get it in the world where it can have an impact on people who need it. I didn't have that. I didn't know that. And. But then I found it, right? I found Brave Naked Truth, and that started to wake it up. And then I found other books that helped to wake that up and helped me to progress through my own process. And so I just want it to be that for others.
I love it. I love the idea. So, yeah, we're gonna have your summit page soon. That people can start signing up, getting tickets, and we'll explain how they can show that they bought the book so that they can get the five books. And I love that it's based in service, right? Because all of a sudden you start to think, who do I know? Who do I know that could really, like, just devour this book, that this book would make all the difference for them? And then we stop even thinking about ourselves. In the act of us learning to fiercely cherish ourselves, we're like, hey, who are five people that I can bless this book with? So I love it. You came up with that idea. It's genius. It's brilliant. As we're closing up today, you know you've written the book behind you is the book that you launched, what, a year ago?
Yeah, almost. Just a little bit under a year ago.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. So do you want to show it to everyone so everyone can see that book? There we go. The exceptional Life Revolution. I love it. I love that title. So you brought that book through, then you wrote in two different collaboration books. You've now written this book. You have two more books coming out. Give us a, what are their names? Tell us a little bit about that.
So the first one is a children's book called Good Choice, Bad Choice. And it is a book about helping children to realize that we only make good or bad choices. We're not good or bad as children. So taking away that stigma and that anyone can make bad choices, whether you're a policeman, whether you're a pastor, whether you're a mom, a dad, a brother, a sister, doesn't matter. Anyone can make bad choices. And when people make bad choices, we need to bring it into light. Like, we can't hide it, we can't keep it secret. So it's really to help, you know, children understand those concepts. And, and it's something I use with my own kids. I have twin three year olds and six year old. And it makes such an impact on them when it's like, no, I'm not a bad boy, I just made a bad choice, you know, or she's not a bad girl, she just made a bad choice. And it takes away that stigma. And then the other book is Evolving Workplaces. And it is a book about why we need to, and what we need to do to transform our workplaces, which is anywhere we work. It's not just office buildings or corporates, it's anywhere we work. Why we need to transform our workplace experiences so that we can live better lives, so that we can walk away from the extreme burnout that everyone's experiencing in the world. I mean, I literally think our workplaces are killing people. Our are causing so much stress and so much toxicity that it is going to impact people for a long time. And so it's time now to transform them and to make them even more successful, to make them even better than they are today. So that is my second book that I'll be releasing this fall.
Yeah. So such an exciting year, right? Such a wonderful experience to work with you, to have you be a Freedom House author. You have amazing, amazing work inside of you. I just honor you for bringing it through, for always following your inspiration, even when this was scary. And I love how you said, like, this isn't your work model. Your work model is helping leaders and helping workplaces. But this is the work model because when everybody learns how to fiercely cherish themselves, they're gonna lead better, they're gonna show up better, they're gonna work better. So even though this doesn't look like your work model, I think this is like, the seed. This is the seed.
It's individual. So my business is evolving to exceptional. It's helping people evolve to live their best life. And I think it starts with us individually. This is the individually. And it can be for both men and women. I didn't write it just for women. Like, it can be both. So it's evolving ourselves. Then we've got to evolve our workplaces. Then we got to evolve how we interact in our homes and in our families. And then we got to evolve our communities. We got to do it all if we're going to really experience the benefits. And one of the other fun things I put into the book is that there's some hidden clues throughout the book. And so I'm not. That's all I'm saying. So you can find all of the hidden clues. Just kind of a fun thing. As you're reading the book, I'll be giving away an even, like, a really fun prize. Like, I'm putting together a really fun package for those that can identify all of the hidden clues in the book. And, you know, the other thing I want to say about the book is that I was like a senior leader, like I said, in the corporate world, and I looked like I had my whole life together, but on the outside, I was on the inside, I was completely burned out, and I didn't even know it. I didn't even know how sick my body was, how challenged and hard and difficult my experiences had been on me and on my existence. And in writing fiercely cherished beings, it really woke me up to why that journey is so important and why, and I'll say this, especially for women, development around these skills is so critical to our success and leadership because it's the limiting beliefs and the fears that I had that were getting in my way and were tripping me up and were causing me more stress and anxiety than I needed to be experiencing. And I didn't even know it. I didn't even realize that they were fears and limiting beliefs. And so there's a lot of. One of my partners, you know, Dana Parker, and I are working together to create an evolving female leaders program for that reason, because women really need coaching and support to work their way through these things. So I think, you know, any woman who's in leadership, like, it's something to really consider, you know, getting your teeth into and really understanding so that you can show up as the best leader that you can be.
I love it.
Jessica, you are fierce.
