Live.
Be here. So welcome to this beautiful live author summit. I am so honored as the founder of Freedom House publishing company to be able to host these. This is one of my favorite things because I get to highlight our fresh, amazing, brilliant authors. And tonight, I get to be in the same room with one, which never happens. So this is Lindsey Bryant, if you guys don't know Lindsay. Lindsay, do you want to show them your book?
Sure. This is my book.
So beautiful. So beautiful.
I don't know if you care about.
The back, but I want to highlight that Lindsay, she actually created this book cover. Like, she designed this book cover. So let's just take a look at this. Not only did she write the book, but she designed this. Isn't that gorgeous? It is so beautiful. And one thing I want to say about Lindsay's book is that when your book does well on Amazon, so when it sells well, Amazon will discount your price and you still get full royalties on your book, which is lovely, but they discount your book to help promote your book. Lindsay's book has been discounted for almost eight weeks, which tells you that her book is selling well, that people are receiving it, that Amazon keeps buying, pushing it into the world. So huge.
Huge.
Huge, huge. It's amazing. And so tonight's going to go like this. I'm going to turn the time over to Lindsay. She's going to share a little bit about her book, about what's happened since she wrote her book, and then we'll open up. And if you guys have questions, you guys can have questions. If you have thoughts that you learned from reading the book or just being in this conversation, you guys are a part of this. So this isn't just you watching me and Lindsay talk. This is actually like a author signing event. You guys get to be a part of this with us. So I want to just first of all share that Lindsay is my brand photographer. So if you guys have seen all of my really rad photography of like, me and the bowl and the waterfall and the crown, this is Lindsay. She's the genius behind all the photography. And I remember you were in the canyon almost a year ago and her book came in super loud and I was like, you gotta. You gotta join my mastermind, Lindsay. Like, you have a book that just needs to come through. And then she wrote it in four months.
Four and a half.
Four and a half months. She brought this book to life from nothing to completion. And then we were able to bring it through really quickly in publishing. And now it's in the world changing people's lives. Such an honor for me to hold that space in so many ways and just like celebrate the heck out of this lady. So that's my piece. I want to hear yours. So why don't you talk about. What do you feel inspired to share about this book?
It's kind of surreal to have it even in existence because I was raised very specific way. My mother grew up a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and she left the church as a teenager. I was raised in a way to just not like the church. That was just how she decided to raise us. And I have no hard feelings about that or anything. It was just what it is. But becoming a member of the church was never something like, never would I ever think that I would even become a member of the church. My whole journey in the church has just been something that God led me to. And there was this point where I was going through the process of getting my endowments and then eventually getting sealed. And I had a lot of burning questions in me about what does this mean for me as a woman. It seemed very clear to me what it meant for males within the church, what their priesthood power meant to them and how they were able to, like, what the function of that was. They were able to perform ordinances and do all those things. But as a woman, that wasn't clear. And there had been an introduction to me that was different than any other Christian religion that I had studied, studied, or been a part of as far as there being a female entity that was equal to the divine masculine that we call God, a heavenly mother. And there wasn't much about that either. So I walked forward in faith and I went through the temple and got my endowments with the. Just with the questions of saying, okay, I. I trust you, God, that this is the next step. But I really would like some answers. And if you could give those to me. I like, I want to know. I want to know what it means to have a relationship with Heavenly Mother. And in that, because she's like the epitome of female priesthood power, what in that relationship, what does that mean for me? And how do I actualize that? And how do I bring that forward into my life to create these. These miracles or these changes. So I. One day I was in prayer and I was asking this question, what does it mean for women to have priesthood power? Please send me the resources. And God said, you're going to write a book about this? And I was kind of like, wait, what? Like, how. How am I supposed to Write a book about something, one, that I have no knowledge of, and two, that there's nothing out there. And God was like, it's going to be fine. I got you. I'll show up. I'll give you the resources when you need them. And that's exactly what happened. I. This book just changed me as a person. And every time I stepped forward with faith, God was like putting the step right under my feet, giving me the, the people I needed to talk to, the. The resources that I needed. And I started getting. So I would channel a portion of the book I would receive from God, and then I would have some type of resource come into the picture. So that was like the logical part of it. I was like, okay, so what I just received actually has some evidence or proof backing this up. And then the third portion of that was that I would have a real life experience with the topic that I just wrote about to kind of solidify that. And that's where the change, I think, really happened within me. And during this time, I've had a myriad of health issues that had popped up. A lot of those have been cleared from my body, just energetically receiving. I do believe that anytime we work with Christ, I mean, he was a metaphysician, he performed those healing miracles on people's bodies, that it has the potential to clear our bodies of these things. So it's been an interesting journey. And it's not. It's more than a book. Right. Like, it's my life, it's. It's me. So. And my relationship with, with God and Heavenly Mother was really strengthened when I wrote this book.
It's powerful.
Yeah.
That's why these are like the books that we bring through here. Like, they're not just books. They're not just like a fun idea. And you decided to write it. Like this was. This is like ancient truths, I feel like. Right.
Yeah.
So if you were to say, like, what if you could think of one part of this book, what's the most impactful one to you? Like, what's the most impactful either story or experience that you, that you brought through in this book?
I think each of them were pretty significant. Just gonna look through my book and if you have any questions, just tell us in the chat. I'd love to actually answer other people's questions about this book, but if you.
Raise your hand, I'll call on you. So at any time during this, if you guys have a thought or question arises and you're like, oh, I'd love to pop in and Contribute or to ask, just throw your hand up and I'll be watching over here on the screen so we can bring you guys in.
So I think that one of the big shifts for me was I did this, a couple of sections on adversary weapon identification and how church cultural problems within the modern day Zion are affecting families. Because the whole religion is centered around the family, but there's some, like, darkness that gets inserted there once people get divorced. And then there's a blended family, like a remixing of a family that's almost looking as. Looked at as like a broken thing instead of a place of restoration. And so I addressed the cultural aspects of the church that are hindering blended families. And then I started finding all of these resources, these scientific studies on the brain and how the brain takes these. This isolation that is happening and registers it the same way as a physical pain, as like someone hit you or something. And it was even more interesting to learn that researchers have been so sexist with how they study violence that they've discounted women's role in violence. And so they've only looked at violent behavior as striking out or bodily injury. And they have not even addressed these. What did they call it? Sorry, my mind's blinking. But when women are doing these things and causing these injuries in the brain that are similar. Similar to the physical ones, it's called injurious behavior. And so now they're looking at female aggression in a totally different way, and they're saying these types of violence are equally as damaging as male displays of violence.
So what does that look like? Like, put that into more of an example.
Okay, so let me see if I can just find a piece of this instead of. Just take me a second. Okay.
Come across.
Okay, I'm just going to read this because it might just be better than.
Yeah, I would love to hear.
Okay. So. I found it difficult to find studies on female violence outside of correctional settings analyzing female inmates and factors contributing to violent offenses. However, I did come across scientific data about how the brain processes rejection and isolation. The term injurious behavior is valid because when an individual is isolated or rejected by a class or group, the brain registers that rejection or isolation the same way it registers physical injury. So that's what I was talking about. Mental anguish impacts the body and the spirit. If you learn only one truth from what I am writing, I hope that it is the truth of how interconnected the mind, body and sou are with one another. So I guess an example would be. Oh, here's another interesting one. Another Study was conducted by researchers interested in the impact of targeted social rejection in an online platform designed to simulate social media. The researchers found that female. The female who was rejected in an online environment was less willing to cooperate with the mean girls in a real life activity. After social rejection had occurred online, the aggression of the rejected female and the desire to retaliate against those targeting her increased. So for me, as a convert coming into the church, I mean, I'm tattooed. I'm a second wife. The former wife was a part of our ward before I got there. So there were already loyalties there. So for me, it was just like I would be sitting in Relief Society and hearing people talk about me right in the row right behind me, or, you know, isolating me by inviting the ex to our kids stuff without telling us. You know, just all these ways of kind of creating this social isolation from the main group that was in the ward.
Yeah. And I love, like, isn't this interesting, you guys? That, like, she just wrote this book. She hasn't spent years and years doing research, doing all. Like, she wrote this book in four and a half months. And when you read it, it reads as though somebody had spent a decade researching and coming up with all of this content. I really want to acknowledge you for that, for you were the vessel for these words to come through. You were shown. I love when you tell the story, maybe you could tell it here of, like, how you were shown. You walk into a bookstore and literally a book would, like, come out, and you knew exactly that that was the book. Right. So why don't you share a little bit about that? Because I feel like that's really.
Yeah. So I. I went to paralegal school, and so I have a lot of experience writing legal paperwork on a computer.
And.
And I kept getting writer's block every time I would sit down to write this at the computer to find resources, And God was like, this is not your way. You need to do things tangible. Go to a bookstore. I'm going to help you pick out resources for this book. And I was like, whatever. Okay, I'll go. I just do what I'm told, you know, So I go to this used bookstore, and it was like, I was like, I'm just gonna approach this, like, my Oracle card deck. There's always a lot of cards in a deck. And it would feel overwhelming if I felt like I had to pick the right card. You know, that's not the attitude we approach that with. So I was like, I'm just gonna approach this the same way. I'm gonna go. And whenever the energy of a book speaks to me, I'm going to take it. And I was doing that. I was just, like, off the different shelves. And this bookstore was huge. Um, and then I get home and I lay it all out on the floor in front of me, and I can see. I'm like, okay, this book goes with that one. Just the titles. And even if the book didn't have good information in it that I used, it was. The title of the book was another subject I needed to look into. Like Deborah in the Bible. The book was garbage. The content of it, but the actual title was something I needed to see. And then I was like, well, how am I going to read, like, 40 books, you know? And God was just like, just skim through it. I'll show you where you need to use, and then I'll tell you when you're done with it. And that was the process of finding stuff like that.
How cool is that? Is that not the coolest thing? Oh, I love it. I love that when he says, this gives me chills. Yes. God is so good. Such an extraordinary experience to watch. Like, you were guided clue by clue as you wrote this book. I want to open it up. Does anyone have any thoughts, any questions, anything that you want to share as we're diving in? Yes, Wendy, Just unmute.
So I am just wondering, where do you feel like the breakdown happened with not finding information about women and their voice? I mean, has this always been pervasive through the entire church history with it way before then? Like, where. Where did you find that the breakdown happened where women no longer had a voice and it wasn't important to find out what the women's, you know, what her powers were, what her place was, other than just in the home with the kids.
Yeah. So honestly, the stories of this is why I entitled it the High Priestess. Because you have to go back into ancient texts, ancient civilizations, to see what women in power really looked like. There's examples of female pharaohs, and there was not a different title for a female, as the pharaoh is always king, you know? Or you go into ancient Sumeria and the women could own their own dowries and get divorced. But it was the introduction of the Hammurabi codes that started giving men ownership over women's bodies. There's violence against women that was legal at that point. And then it just kind of shifted based on different cultures. I was just reading today about Bathsheba, and she was entitled something in Hebrew that was Queen Mother. And so she held Court with the men. As far as the church goes, it relied heavily on female donations to get started. There was one woman who was never married. I can't remember her name. We. We were talking about her when we learned about Doctrine and Covenants. But she was an heiress of a large fortune. She fronted a ton of cost for the LDS Church to get started. There were several pioneer women, some of my ancestors included, who spearheaded all of these settlements. And even one of the first female missionaries was because she refused to sit down and just let the men do it. And she was accompanying missionaries on these. These different talks. So it was always with the Women's Initiative. I feel like that these things came into place. I feel like Relief Society is a similar story. But I feel that there was some shift early on in the church. And this is speculation. These are also some things that I've gotten downloads from as I visited pioneer graves from my ancestry and kind of asked for their memories to be given to me. But there was a clear shift from Joseph Smith's original intention because he, I feel like, was trying to do something very progressive as far as he gave African Americans priesthood power. He was good with giving women that priesthood power and wanted. He held women very high up. And I don't think that a lot of other men really cared about that because once he died, then everything started shifting. I've heard there's even certain things that used to be in the LDS scriptures that Joseph Smith wrote that are no longer there. They've been omitted. So I think we're a long way off still from what Joseph Smith's original ideal was and how he valued women within the church structure, which is very odd to me because we mean everything we do in the temple is about dualities. Male and female represent the dual natures of everything in the universe. And without one of them, there's chaos. And so the fact that there isn't an equal respect or contribution or more clarity on what women's priesthood power means, it really holds back the entire. All the family were soul tied to each other. So I think that even the men are held back by women not actualizing their priesthood power. I don't know if that answered. I kind of ramble. No, that's.
And I think what's powerful is even though this book has been your. Your journey with the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, as a convert receiving information, but I believe that this book will help any woman wake up their inner power. How can you share that if someone's not a member of this church, how does A woman read your book and wake up their own inner power and inner strength.
I think by I mean as women, it's coded into our DNA to be afraid to speak truth, to say what we want, or go after what we know, our purposes, or speak out against injustice. And in that way, I feel like this can help every woman actualize their power because we're still fighting the same fights. We're still dealing with the same crap that we've been dealing with since the beginning of civilization. And so it's, you know, there are ancient truths in here, whether or not you're lds. It's. It's just all truth. I think it's the same types of. Not oppression. What's the word I'm looking for? It's just the same, just like tug of war game that we have to play in every type of institution or religious setting. There's always a good old boys club, but I've yet to see a good old girls club, you know what I mean? So I think we're all still kind of fighting the same fight with everything.
What are your guys thoughts? Do you guys have any thoughts, any questions? Holly, I feel like you got something in there.
So I did have one about injurious behavior and then I had like some other ones. So the injurious behavior is what those women are doing towards like the talking about you behind your back. Is that kind of the definition in general of how women are being violent? I was trying to put that together.
Women can even incite violence by like, you know, stir in the pot until the men do something about it. And so there's this interest triggering. Yeah, it's almost like internalized misogyny to the point of women policing other women until the men get involved and then they do something about it. And so women are playing by the same rules the Met the men are playing by when they're like in that patriarchal mindset to hurt other women. So they incite violence most of the time from the men that way when they've had their. When they're done with playing the mind games.
Okay.
Yeah.
The mind games kind of end up leading to other people taking action. Like what?
Okay.
Causing reactions. Okay. And then I kind of.
Another question I had was like, who.
Is your favorite female character? Either from the Bible that, like, can be such a good example, or the scriptures that can be such a good example, or maybe just throughout female history because, like, you have a lot of good examples. But which one's your favorite?
Enheduanna. I love her. She was the first female author, and she united all of her father's kingdoms together with her hymns that she wrote. And I love that. The power of a woman's voice that way. And then I do love Deborah because she was a prophetess and a judge, and she led the people when there wasn't a prophet. So I really admire her for that. And then Eve, you know, our original mother, she had a hard choice to make. And I love. One thing I have loved about this religion is how respectful they were about her choice. Because I've gone to a lot of different Christian denominations who were. It almost made me feel shame for being female because of Eve's choice. Like, oh, you. You're going to suffer when you have your period and when you have babies because of her choice. And so it was almost like we're paying for her sins. Almost. But I've never gotten that from the LDS religion. There's always a lot of respect for that choice that she made, I think.
So.
I think it's. It's treated well.
Yeah.
Like you said, with respect.
Okay.
And then so overall, from this book, what do you want? Women in general, but LDS members, like, what can we do to not create injurious behaviors, but have these strong women groups that don't turn into boys club slash girls club?
Right. Man, that's hard because we just talked about repentance on Sunday. Okay.
Return to God.
Right.
People have to be humble enough to admit fault or to see that there are things that aren't working to be able to change them. But I also feel that women are just natural checks and balances for the male ego. And the male ego feels really strong right now in the leadership of the church. And I feel that women need to take an equal seat with the men to have that kind of level back out.
So maybe kind of speaking up more in classes and maybe programming and say, hey, this is a good idea.
I think of.
I was thinking when you were saying that, too, is it's good for me to take a look at myself and see where am I doing injurious behavior or where am I trying to play small and not speaking up to balance that masculine and feminine.
Yeah. And I. It, like, breaks my heart because I feel I've had a lot of conversations when I was. When I first converted, I started getting just a ton of atheists and nihilists and coming into my life having these conversations like, why did you convert? And it was an interesting thing because I was able to just kind of share why I joined the church and what I'm. And they're like, oh, that's interesting. So I've been able to kind of share my experience and my testimony with people. And then the next step was I started having a lot of conversations with people who've left the church. And it helped me to empathize with my mother a lot and forgive a lot of that. But I think that a lot of people are leaving and not sharing with authorities what their experiences with male leadership that was inappropriate growing up. And I understand why that would be scary. But I feel if more of those stories were shared, then we could have better conversations about systems of support and all those things. So even a woman's voice speaking up as far as their experiences would be very valuable to get. I'm sorry, but, like, I make the majority of the money in my partnership. I'm the breadwinner. And it's really, really hard for me to pay tithing towards an organization where I don't feel like I have a voice as much as men do. And so, yeah, there's just a lot that I think women need to step up and say, even if it's uncomfortable, and say, these are my experiences and this is what I need from you, and express those needs.
Okay, so in summary, I feel like it's like, bring our voice out and share those things. And I feel like in the appropriate places, like, maybe I'm not, like, screaming it in the middle of the class or something, but kind of like finding that place of listening where that can be heard and maybe internalized into the organization, too. So. Thank you.
Yeah, thanks for your questions.
Yeah, I love those. Thank you, Holly. Thank you for your questions. And, Mary Pat, did you have something that you wanted to share or ask?
Well, I'm just saying that it's really interesting to hear about your experience, because I have, you know, I don't know really anything about LDS other than, you know, sort of generalized comments and things, and I don't. Well, I'm a Unitarian Universalist, so I have, you know, a completely different view about things as far as churches. And I'm not even a really, like, strong one of those either. I sort of have my own kind of spiritual beliefs that go beyond that, too. But I think it's interesting. And I was just thinking about how. How the timing is wonderful for what you're. For what you wrote about, because this is a. From my perception and from a lot of the people that I work with and talk to, this really is a time when the masculine and feminine principles are coming into balance. And it's, you know, it's. It's the time in order for things to come into union, there has to be a uniting of the masculine and feminine as equal. And that's actually the end. There is polarity, but it's like the. It's not just a balance of the two sides of the polarity. It's the uniting of the polarity into something that then becomes a union. And so this is, I think, really what is trying to happen in the collective human consciousness right now and on all levels. And so it's a really messy time with things breaking up, old systems breaking up. And there's a prophecy and I don't know if I'll get the details right, but the Mayans had a particular day, I think it was in 2012, but I could be off on that where in their calendar there was a specific time when what they call the staff of power passed to the feminine from. It had been held by the masculine principle for however many thousands of years. And now this was the time that it was passing to the feminine in order for things to come back into balance. So I just think that the timing of your book is, you know, it's interesting that it should come out now. It's perfect. And I'm curious about. Is there any kind of a prophecy in LDS about this coming together of the masculine and feminine? Or is there. Is that just nothing that not. Does that exist?
I think that's the entire goal of the religion. You know, I mean, that it's so family centered. It's. It's all like marriage. The culminating ordinance in the temple is all about this divine marriage of the masculine and feminine coming together and tying their souls together for all time and eternity. And so I feel like if that's the culminating act and ordinance of the whole religion, then that's the whole goal of it, is to keep that unity there between the two. But how that functions outside of ordinances, I mean, there's. It's a free for all. People are just tripping around trying to figure it out. And I think that it could just be handled better. And there's a lot in the church as far as masculine energy of doing and serving. And I feel that that was necessary when we were first establishing our church on the earth because we had to plant it and we had to get it growing. But now there needs to be. I see a lot of the members are like burning out because we don't have that equal balance of the feminine receiving and the somatic experiences with the body that we need to either purge these emotions in a primal way or regulate the nervous system, which is really how we even feel the presence of God. And so one of the things that I surmised from what I had received from channeling and everything was just that the physical body is kind of Heavenly Mother's realm, because she is how we are able to feel the presence of God in our bodies.
That's beautiful. Well, and I'm just grateful you shared that, Maya. And prophecy. That's so beautiful. What a. What a timely. And I bet so many of us, even here on the call, could look back and I would say, 2012, something shifted in my life, right? Like, it was 2012, 2017. And the more and more people I talk to about, like, their awakenings, those are the two years, 2012, 2017. So it's interesting. I've never heard that Mayan prophecy. It's like, oh, my gosh, energetically, that something was shifting at that time. So, Mary Pat, thank you for sharing that. That's a beautiful contribution. Is there anyone else that wants to ask any questions or share anything that you're present to as we bring just this conversation to light? And if you're okay, I'm going to mute you guys when you're not talking because that helps the recording just sound better. So what I would love is if you could actually, like, bring into existence for everybody on this call right now, what is something that they could leave this experience within their. In their life that would help wake up their own inner priestess, that would help wake up their own gifts of, I don't know, like, being the. The high priestess inside of their. Their own selves.
I feel that throughout our lives, we give our power away, and that's what we're taught to do. And so I see it as like all of these just like holes in us where light is coming out all over the place and we're kind of like a broken container that way. And so I think taking that power back within ourselves to be sovereign, and a lot of that has to do with giving ourselves permission. Yeah, give yourself permission. That's what's coming in strong for me right now. That's something that this last year has. I've been doing for myself, and it's been really hard. Even with a spouse that has not been supportive of all of the things that I have wanted to do, and just taking that in to myself and making my decisions for me and what I know is best and staying aligned with God that way, or source or spirit, whatever you want to call it, and giving myself permission to live my life and live my purpose. And so I think that as women, that's the best thing that we can do is to own our sovereignty in that way.
Yeah, I like that.
That.
That gets to be the space, right? Like, that's what I feel like this book, this book that you brought through, it gets to be that. It gets to be a guidebook. A guidebook on how do we. It's not, you know, it's just so generationally not taught to us, right? So, I mean, just my own experience of, like, my grandma. I remember my grandma loved to eat the gizzards, the gizzards of a chicken. And I was like, grandma, like, this is disgusting. Why do you love this? And she said, because by the time all of my children were done eating the chicken, all that was left were the gizzards. And I had to learn to love the gizzards. And that story stuck with me. Like, what the hell? What is this? This, like, pure, like, I will be the last. Let everybody eat first. Like. Like, this is the generational, like, frequency that was brought through all of us and. And. And that. It stills our magic. It stills our power, because it's like, us being like, I am the most least important. Somebody said this. I think it was someone on my podcast who said they were below the dog, right? Like, the husband and then the kids and then the dog, and then it was them.
And when.
When they said that, it was like, who that hits? That's the generational patterns that were poured down through us. And what you teach is, like, not, like, screw everyone. Like, let me fill my bucket, and then I can go out and pour into everyone else. Let me fill this up. And then I'm of more service. And then my power is more magical because I'm not, like, you know, dripping it.
Well, what you're saying is the key to women creating financial abundance also. And I've questioned writing this book and doing some research on if men are even supposed to make, like, they. If they have the same capabilities we even have to bring in abundance. Because there were several prophets throughout history. I think even Muhammad, the very first prophet in that religion, his wife was the one who funded his ministry. I mean, you look at Mary Magdalene funding Jesus Christ ministry from her own purse. Like, what you're saying is, I think, a key to women creating money in their life also. Yeah, because I've watched it.
Feel this, right? Fuel this. And then we get to go out and pour our magic.
Well, and women are different than Men in that way, too, because. And this is statistics. This is not me judging. Men want money to be able to have sex. Something they want the title or the car, whatever. When women create financial abundance, they do start pouring it out and helping everyone else. And so, yeah, I just feel like it's more in alignment.
Yeah. That's beautiful. So there's so much in this book. You guys can feel it. If you haven't gotten this book, go get this book. Support Lindsay. Support her work. She's already. She. If you haven't been watching on my Instagram, I do free. Free. I don't know why I said free compliment. It's not even. It's.
It's.
It's a magical 30 minutes of book channeling with authors, and I do it every single morning on my morning show. This morning you came on. We brought through your next book. So I feel like it's showing up right now. It wants to be talked about. So why don't you share with them your second book and the date that your book actually told you today. That came to us today. The date that is going to be finished.
Is Wendy still on here? I think it's the same date that hers is releasing, isn't it?
No, no, no. Hers is 1111.
Oh, okay. And this was 1111. 22.
22.
Yeah. For the next one to be done being written. And I guess it does just kind of fill in line with, like, speaking for people who can't or aren't speaking. Something like that. So it's around sacred rage and how to transmute that into positive change in your life. And it's all centered around my experience with domestic violence and the justice. Justice system. I use that term. And yeah, we. We brought that through today. So it's going to be more of a guidebook because I really want to lobby for better laws on domestic violence in Idaho. And the way that we need to do that is by telling our stories. The judges need to hear our personal stories with what's already in place. So that's going to be what I'm kind of championing for and talking about what resources would have actually been helpful to me in that situation.
Yeah. So you can feel that, like, last November, you said yes to bringing through this book. And so much magic has happened in your life since you've brought this book through. Now your second book is already coming through. I just really, like, honor, like, who Lindsay is and that you're a yes. That you're just a yes. You're a vessel, and you keep gaining Magic by bringing this stuff through, right? Yeah, yeah.
I've even had questions. Like I was in the Mastermind and I was saying, well, what if I don't have all the answers to all the questions? And I can't remember who it was, but somebody said sometimes it's enough just to ask the question. And so I did it. I just wrote questions in here that I didn't have the answers to. And I started experiencing things quickly. Like I was taking. I was with Wendy, who was on here taking her photos. We go to a drum circle. The shaman leading that says spirit told me, you have to come to Mexico with me. I had a three day turnaround to buy a ticket and get on a plane and go to Mexico. I'm sitting at this retreat about it's a sacred sensuality retreat. And the questions in this book were getting answered. Every single person who was there was answering these questions. And I had just had something come through about Brigham Young and a direct descendant of his was there. And we had this like, magical interaction with each other. And so I can't even explain, like, like, without submitting my will to whatever God has for me. These things wouldn't have happened if I had approached this in my logical, skeptical mind. These things would not have happened. So your work and what you helped me do and this book and just conduiting this stuff through has completely changed my life. Yeah.
So exciting. That's what these books do. They change our lives and then they go change everyone else's lives. So I saw that Holly had her hand up. Holly, did you have another thing to jump in and share or ask?
I just wanted to like, champion Lindsay and her book. She's a force to be reckoned with and like, she doesn't mess around, but it's in a good way. She's not going to like, slap you in the face, but she's like, here it is straightforward. I'm not going to like put flowers around it. It's just this. Anyway, so I'm looking forward to your next book and how much you're. We just. You're that example of sharing your voice and asking the questions regardless of you have the answer. So it makes it okay for the rest of us to ask the questions, to share our stories and to like, bring that through. And I love that you're saying the magic that's come through because I'm like, okay, I can do this too. So thank you for doing what you do and being who you are and you do.
Kara, thank you for seeing me. I appreciate that.
Yeah, yeah. There's something beautiful about the allowing others to see you. I want to jump in the chat here. I saw some things. So let's jump in, see if there were some questions. Okay. I love. Okay, so let's just jump in and there's some questions in here. Okay. So I like how Holly said, what would you say to single women in the church who don't have the balance of masculine in their home?
That's where God really gets to show up for us and become our husband. Honestly, I'm married, and there are times where I go to God to receive, you know, what I need that I don't get from a man. And there were so many times that God showed me what a man in what masculine energy in pursuit of the beloved felt like when I felt completely just cut off from that. In every aspect of my life, I was dealing with a lot of wounded father issues and, you know, my marriage was falling apart. And I think that regardless of where you're at with that, it's. It doesn't matter if you're single or not. Like, God gets to show up and be that. And honestly, he's a better partner. Oh, that's mean.
But here's what's. So here's what's really powerful. I want you guys to know this about Lindsay, because I don't think she shares this very often, but she is the breadwinner who takes care of eight children. Eight children. And I was lucky enough to come and visit her in her home this week. And even though I've known her for about a year and a few months, probably 15 months, and I knew that she had eight children until I sat in her home and. And felt eight children. And I have five children, a little cross, but eight feels like way more than five. Right?
And.
And I just, like, really honored, like, who she is. And I want to. I want them, like, publicly be known like, who you are as a mother and also as the one who provides for the family and like, the power that you hold in yourself that you can pull this off, that this fire. Like, you just are breaking so many traditional beliefs and cultural beliefs, especially in the. In the LDS religion, breaking so many belief systems there. Like, I hope you know what a warrior you are and a change maker. And I just wanted to share that in front of all of you guys because, like, this woman is. You are. You are this. You're the book.
I appreciate that a lot. And it is hard to be in a very stereotypical role type church when you are opposite, because I know my husband deals with that a lot too, staying at home and taking care of the kids. So I really appreciate that because I. I do feel like it gets judged a lot, which is interesting, but I appreciate you for saying that.
Yeah. So, ladies, as we close this up, I would love to just. I kind of want to, because, like, oracle cards are, like, your thing and my thing. So, like, what if you just, like, open the book and just. And then just read us one thing that just pops right up, like, what's the thing that's gonna show up?
And you should.
Like, birthday party level right here. Okay.
It, like, jams the circuits if I am trying to.
Okay, so let's see. Let's see what wants to be read. Let's see. Okay. Okay. Looks like a lot of pressure right now. Hold on.
Oh.
There'S this page. All right, so right here it says similarly. I can't say that word. That feels great. Female members speaking about the revelations of our heavenly mother would strengthen and empower every member of this church. I do not believe it is a male priesthood holders right. To tell a woman what she already knows to be true about her divine mother. As in the early dynamics of mother daughter relations, a female child will receive more instruction from her mother. Then she needs guidance throughout her life as she reaches adolescence and adulthood. A man cannot teach a woman how to be a woman. Whoo. What a powerful. What a powerful paragraph to end on, right? What are your thoughts?
Yeah, I'm just like. I agree with everything she's saying. Holly's got her book.
What did you pick? What'd you pick? Hollywood.
Oh.
Oh, we turned in it. You didn't know that was what you were gonna do when you came here?
That was gonna come because I just, like, dropped my thing. But the. About the. I lost the pages.
I'm sorry.
It's about the mother. Like, being in our body like that is like.
Whoa.
Okay. Like. Yeah, I see that us as like, the chalice to be the space for things to show up that creation. And the way you're describing it is like. It's new for me, so I'm trying to find it so I can read some of it, but I just.
Well, actually. Okay. I just found this page, so can.
I read that part?
Okay. Okay. I am more wolf than woman. I am a ravenous high priestess. I am a Benjamite convert. I'm a sentinel of mother. I am a hunter. Treat me like fire burning, because I'm not stopping. I'm going hunting. Oh.
What?
I don't got.
Damn, girl.
So. So I just. I felt like I should bring in my patriarchal blessing. I'm hearing that now because part of that. So if you don't know what the patriarchal blessing is at a certain age, what is it? Around 60, 16, usually ish members?
I think it's an option.
Is it? Okay, Well, I was like, I want that. I'm gonna go get that. And so each stake, so there's like, wards, and it's like, geographical location, and then the stake is like a group of wards, and then over each stake, there is a patriarch, and his only church calling is he lays his hands on the head of the person, and he basically. It's like an energy reading, honestly. I've had energy readings done, and they give you personal revelation for your life as it's being given to them. And mine was pretty long. It was like two pages. But it talks about me being the guardian of the hearth and heavenly mother kept dropping into my patriarchal blessing. But during that patriarchal blessing, we're assigned to a specific tribe of Israel or 12. Right. And I was given Benjamin, which is very in alignment with me. I feel like I have a lot of warrior ethos. I come from a lot of legendary Vikings, and there's a certain part in my genealogy where it's, like, royalty. It's like. Like, all the way back into Ireland into B.C. and so I really resonate with that, and that plays out in the way that I'm talking and speaking in my book. When I would prepare myself to write this book, I was, like, completely in that warrior mindset of, like, no, this is how it is. So it was a blessing to me to have that patriarchal blessing.
I feel like that needs to be put on, like, canva, like, canvases. And, like, people, they, like, hang that, like, that's, like, who, like, hear my war cry.
That is a war cry.
Yeah, that's a war cry.
That's a good point. Thank you for bringing that up.
That was powerful. Thank you so much, Holly. So, ladies, if anyone else wants to share as we close up, I know there are a few of you, like, you don't have to share, but I'm opening this space for you to share if you'd like to. And we just had Jessica pop in, so Jessica is so happy to see your beautiful face. We are about to close up, but I happy that you came. Jessica, with that being said, here's my little plug at the end. If this woke up fire in you, let that fire spread. If it woke up a desire to Stand more in your gifts, in your power, in your light, in your magic. Let it, let it, wake it up. Because we're called to be at events like this when our soul is asking for more. You all could be like folding laundry or watching Netflix. Y' all could be doing something else. But instead, you spend an hour with us in this really powerful container and conversation of change, of transformation of someone who, like, never thought she was going to write a book and listened to the call in her heart. Not only did she write a book in four and a half months, but a second book is on her way. And this is it. This is how we rise, is when we answer the calls in our heart. So my invitation is, answer the call. Whatever the call is, answer the call in your heart. Now I see that there's a question and I want to ask. I want to read it out loud. It's from Jessica. She says, lindsay, I'd love to know what you found most impactful since publishing your book. What has stuck with you the most?
I felt like this whole process of my conversion and writing this book was like my marriage ceremony to the divine. And I feel like I was codependent in a lot of ways before writing this book. And I feel more independent and.
I.
I think the thing that stuck the most with me is that I can do anything I want.
That right there is the best sentence we've ever heard.
Hell.
That's a holy hell. Yes. How great is that? Yeah, like, that's the most liberating feeling in the world.
Yeah. Like, I don't need approval. I don't need, you know, I'm going to the most romantic city on the planet. On the 31st, I'm going to Paris and I'm going to take pictures of a client, but I'm going alone. And that does not bother me because I would rather be with me and that, like, finding that, Finding myself and finding those things of me that were, you know, what's the word? Indissoluble. To gather back into me. That is, I found myself and I lost everything else that didn't matter.
Oh, the one liners tonight. This is so powerful. Yes. Oh, I love that. Well, ladies, thank you for your time. Thank you for coming to this beautiful summit. Lindsay, as we complete this. Why are you dropping your heart? What is the message? What is the message that you would give these beautiful humans who are here live? And then there's so many who signed up that are going to be watching this replay. What is the message that you would love to leave with them tonight.
That we're not different. That just keeps coming back. There's so many things that try to separate us, and women are powerful force when they're connected together. I've watched groups of women come together, even set their minds and their hearts on the same goal, and I watched that come to fruition like that. And so just. I love you, and you're my sisters, and I want to share. I want to share this with you. I'm, like, wafting it. Take it, take it. Yes. Beautiful.
Beautiful. Well, thank you, Lindsay, for taking the time to be with us tonight. I know your kids all start school tomorrow, and yet you created this space. Thank you for writing this book. Thank you for calling, like, really calling in the time, your angels, the space so that this book could be here in the flesh and for being the powerhouse that you are in the world.
Thank you. I feel like I also need to say just that you are more capable and more powerful than you think you are. I feel like someone needs to hear that. Whatever you've been sitting on, you got to go out there and get it and let God. Let God meet you where you're at, because that's what he's good at. And just ask for what you need. It's so simple. Like, you can really just ask, and he'll just give it to you. And it's amazing how he just shows up like that. So I just keep hearing, like, oh, God, hear the words of my mouth. That stuff has been coming back, that phrase over and over. So, like, take your words and use. Utilize those to bring forth the miracles that you need in your life.
Yes.
And so it is. And so it is. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, guys. This was so much fun. Send you all so much love. I want you to take a deep.
Breath in with us.
Just placing this beautiful light around you, grounding you into your body, opening up the pathways for miracles. Thank you for being you. Thank you for being here, and I hope the rest of your evening is magical.
Thank you.
Bye, guys.
