Peernovation is creativity realized together among peers, producing outcomes no individual could alone. Two ways to use it: intentional conversations in cross-functional teams to build shared understanding, and peer practice groups that let people improve skills outside the constant pressure of work.

peer innovation as a word, I would kind of define it as peers, people like, people like me, and creativity realized, which is kind of the innovation piece of it, right? And it's what can happen when people work together to create something larger than themselves. I think there's two applications for this work inside companies. One is to look at especially cross-functional work teams, I think, to start, and then you can bring it into departmental work teams. To have these intentional conversations around these 5 areas that create a level of clarity and understanding, you know, among those cross-functional work team members that can really be very powerful. Second, I also think— so consider this: if you were to look up golf and practice in Google, you'd get all of these videos about how to have a better golf swing, you get various training tools and apparatus that you can buy, you know, as guides, right? Yeah. Yeah, there you go. But when you talk about business practice, you might see things like business practices and things like that. We don't practice in business. It's game day every single day. And because of that, I think it makes it extremely difficult, particularly at a time where we often have fewer people doing more work in less time, you know, with smaller budgets than we ever have. And Having groups and teams side by side, I think, could be really powerful. So when we have peer groups inside of companies where the aim of those peer groups is to help the individuals with whatever they want to get better at so they can be better team contributors, that can become really powerful.
