opportunity. Hello everyone and welcome to today's session. My name is Con Sotidis. I'm of Greek background, but I've been living in Australia now for over 50-odd years. I'm known as the Social Selling Warrior. That's my hashtag, that's my catchcry, and that's what I do. I've been a LinkedIn Angel. I actually went on today and found out because I knew you were going to ask me. February 18th, 2009 was when I joined LinkedIn, so it's been quite a while. It's been quite a journey, and I'm sure Craig will also be of the same vintage as well in relation to the journey we've held. Like you said, I'm a social media strategist, more focusing on helping people leverage their brands in order to get more awareness of their brand, and also for those who are in business, entrepreneurs, or coaches to be able to get more sales and connections and so forth. And that's me.
And then, and just, just to add, you have you have been judged as the number 1 blog to follow in the top 15 international HR blogs. Now, wow, I think I've got the right person here today to talk about, you know, rocking someone's LinkedIn journey, especially in this current climate where we are looking for, I mean, youths are looking for jobs and whatnot. How did that award come about?
Well, back in the old days, back in the old days before my sales career, I was learning development practitioner, HR practitioner, and I used to talk a lot about learning development. I still do sometimes, and HR. And they did a bit of a— I can't remember which organization was— every review of all the blogs going around at that time, and they judged me as one of the top blogs for HR in 2015. It's going back a while, but I'm proud of that, and it's a great achievement. And continue to follow that journey along the way into my new career in sales and social media. Fantastic.
