Oh hey, I didn't see you there. I'm Louis Carter. I'm just trying to keep track of how many days I've been in quarantine. Who cares? I don't even know how to use those things anyway. A lot has changed with people working from home. What's going to happen in the future? How do businesses respond to this new normal? And most importantly, how do you make these garbanzo beans taste so good? Do employees even want to come back to work or do they want to continue working from home? How do you address these challenges? Well, I'm glad you asked. For over 20 years, we at Best Practice Institute have been developing the Carter Change Model, a proven methodology that teaches you how to maximize effective leadership and address change in times such as these. The Carter Change Model takes you through the 4 E's, or EEE for short, which stands for envision, establish, execute, and evaluate. Invisioning guides you through creating your mission, vision, values, and strategy to achieve your key objectives. We identify your most important and best leadership behaviors that will get you to where you want to go—bringing in new revenues, any specific goal you'll need. It will also help you to avoid being a boss like this: You dunderhead! You dolt! You blithering— I knew you'd be pleased! To establish, you need to develop a clear vision of the future for results, business strategy, and goals. The Carter Change Model will work with you to co-create your finalized mission, values, positive future, and shared agreement on how to lead at peak performance. It will put a stop to blaming, gossip, and other destructive behaviors. Your people will begin to play together instead of having interactions like this. Well, I guess I better go get dressed. Thank you, Blanche. Can you believe that backstabbing? Who would have known Betty White would have been so mean? Together we can agree upon and execute new practices for interacting with customers post-COVID. If you're a medical company, healthcare company, or bank, for example, the old way of doing things may need to change. Accountability, follow-through, and consistency are critical for the success of this stage. The model helps top executives—CEO, CIO, CFO—get critical information so they can understand how employees perceive their behavior. They can implement new practices all the way to the front line. Execution means more than doing. It means following up consistently. The end result will make your employees feel like this: The final E is Evaluate, where we measure the results. Are the new strategies and goals making their way to the middle of the company and frontline? The more you follow up, the better the results will be. By following the change model, you'll be in a better place to lead effectively and empower your employees to achieve peak performance in times of change. Now, time for me to get back to tracking my quarantine days.
