Hey, I'm Field Harrison. I'm the founder of Mint Dentistry, and we are just honestly so grateful to be included in this amazing list of the most loved workplaces in the nation. I can tell you that our team really does embody our core values of love, generosity, and perfection. But don't take my word for it. You listen to what our team has to say, and thank you so much.
What I love most about Mint is easily the coworkers. They're like my family. I mean, Rome, Jen, Marian, Dr. Harrison, everybody's great. I love coming in every day to be with them.
If I were to describe Mint Dentistry in one word, it would be innovative. I work in technology, so we're always improving the technology around the whole company. We've been using a lot of AI around the company in the corporate office as well, but in the future it's going to be a lot more implemented since it's going to be huge, especially how technology is always advancing.
The thing I love most about Mint has to be the team. A moment that I felt supported at Mint was whenever I went back to school. My bosses were able to give me a flexible schedule and they helped me out in any way that they could. The thing that I like most about Mint is that There's always a support structure. Like, if I don't know the answer to something, either my office manager knows it or the district manager knows it or the mentors. I've worked at a lot, a lot of dental offices, and the culture with Mint is by far the best. I love Mint because I worked in a clothing store before I worked here, and I probably would have accepted any job to get out of there, but I ended up with the best job ever, so it changed my life.
Being a Most Loved Workplace is something that is very important to us. For us, it's not just about the recognition and the national attention and all that comes with it, but it's a really a validation of all the hard work that has been put into making this company great and loved. We now know, based on being a Most Loved Workplace, that authenticity breeds innovation. We are striving every day to be innovative. We're looking at every aspect of the employee cycle from hire to retire. Our our total rewards, our talent acquisition strategies, how we go to business, how we go to market, our patient experience, everything we do speaks directly to innovation, and that is tied into why we have become Most Loved Workplace 3 years in a row. One of the things that I do want to highlight as it relates to total rewards are the benefits. As we know, everything around us is going up— inflation, elder care, child care, groceries, you name it, it's going up, to include medical. And so one of the things that came out of the engagement surveys as we talked to people during our Pulse control visits. They had a concern around benefits, and so one of the decisions that we made as an organization that we would control what we can control. And so even though the medical benefits went up, the organization, Dr. Harrison specifically, decided to keep it flat, and he absorbed the increase such that it would not be passed on to the employees. So essentially, the employees will be paying this year what they paid in years past. So he absorbed that as a way to show how much he loves his employees. But again, we would have never known that that was a concern for them had we not been talking to them and understanding and trying to create an environment where they feel comfortable for them and their families. So just the basic opportunity to listen, to sit down with people, not doing an exit interview, but at the beginning, just to check in with them one weekend, two weekends, three months in, just to make sure that our audio is matching our video. I am proud to say that we are on our way We continue to do a great job, and so here's to authenticity, here's to innovation, and just a hearty thank you to Dr. Harrison for recognizing that.
Hi, my name is Annabelle. I'm the district manager for the West District. I have been with Mint for about 14 years now. I started off as an insurance rep, and then I went to front desk, treatment planning, assistant manager, office manager. Now I am a district manager, and it's been amazing. Mint is definitely a place of growth. I work with a lot of people that I've really started with, and it's just a beautiful thing to see everybody grow, and I appreciate them for that. Throughout my years, everybody has been part of my journey here at Mint. You've met my son Andrew, my oldest, and also through my pregnancy, everybody was there. Everyone was supportive, especially Mint. While I was out on maternity leave, I did need additional time away, and I didn't have to stress during that time. You know, I felt like I was going to panic, like I didn't know what I was going to do. I then reached out to Mint Cares, and they were able to help me out. Just knowing that they were there for me, they actually became part of my family, and they were to help my family, and I am truly thankful for them. Having a company that, you know, is there to support you, to help you, that you can definitely turn in and ask for help is truly a blessing. To be able to be there and support my baby, and Mint really showed me that they could be there for me, and they were there for me. I truly felt loved knowing that Mint was able to help me, and they did without a hesitation, no questions asked, nothing. As soon as, you know, I reached out, they reached out the very next day, and I truly feel loved. Being here at Mint, you know, throughout my journey, meeting every great person that I've met along the way, Mint helping me not only growing as a person but growing as a leader within the company. You know, I'm very thankful, and this is why Mint is one of the most loved workplaces.
Hey, thanks so much for including Mint Dentistry in America's Most Loved Workplaces. And honestly, with one of our core values, our main core value being love, this is a great fit. But we're not only trying to be the most loving in dentistry, we want to be not only the most loving in healthcare, but we want to be the most loving out there and to do our small part in changing the world and making it an even more loving place.
