F*ck it... How you're going to get to 10k per month from trading

Louis outlines a path to $10-20k monthly trading income: keep your job while learning, save six months of expenses, find a mentor, journal every trade to spot patterns, and scale prop-firm accounts only after passing one legitimately. It takes discipline and years, not shortcuts.

If you want to become an extremely consistent profitable trader where you're making $10,000 a month, how you're making $20,000 a month, this is exactly how you are going to do that and how you are going to achieve those numbers. Now starting off, if you're only watching this video to learn about trading exactly and learn my strategy and learn how to get rich quick then this is not the video for you. This video is specifically for the people who want to become consistently profitable traders, and they are all in. Okay, you want to do this, you know that trading is what you want to do, then this is the video for you. So let's start it. How are you going to get to these $10K months? You know, a lot of traders, when you start trading, you're overwhelmed. There's so much information, so from so many different people, and it's not necessarily that there is bad information online, but it could be the fact that there is too much information that you are taking in. Now, to become consistently profitable, you need to focus on making things simple. For example, to start with, you want to make your mindset as simple as humanly possible. You do not want to be going into trading with so much stress from different things, whether that be your job, whether that be school. The less stress that you can have on yourself, the better. Now, leading on to this point, a job. Lots of people message me, and I've had students in the past say, Louis, I've just quit my 9 to 5, I'm now all in on trading, I have 2 months of income saved up, now I need to become a trader. In my opinion, this is the worst thing that you can possibly do. If you want to become consistently profitable, then you should have some sort of job. You want to have, of course you don't have to, but this is my opinion. You want to have a job that is giving you that consistent income. This is good for two reasons. The main reason, you have less stress of money. You don't need to be setting targets of making $5,000 per month because if you make $0 per month, it won't affect your day-to-day life. Life, okay? That is the most important. As well as that, it's also going to give you a good target and a rough target of what you need to achieve to be able to quit your job and actually make trading a reality. For example, the way that I like to do it is, let's say you're making, let's say, $5,000 per month, just to make it an easy number, right? If you want to become a consistent trader, I'd say, and do trading full-time, I say you need to be making $5,000 every single month minimum for around 4 to 5 months and have a minimum of 6 months of your wage saved up. Okay, put this, and then once you get to that point, go all in on trading, risk everything, you know. Of course, because then you have money saved up if something does go wrong. Worst case scenario, you go back to working a job, you know. At least you tried and gave it your best shot. But I know that if you follow the steps that I'm about to tell you in this video, that there won't be no ifs, there won't be buts, there will only be absolutes, okay? So starting off, find one person to watch. Find one consistent person to watch that you know is reliable. You can go to them and ask questions and they will actually answer you. You're in a community where you're around traders who also want the same thing. People don't understand how important that is. It's like anything. If you wanted to be a professional football player, you're going to join and you're going to get coached by a group of people who all want the exact same thing. It's no different in trading. If you want to become a consistent and a profitable trader, you need to be surrounded by a group of people who want the exact same thing, who will push you to where you want to be, okay? If you're doing something wrong, you need to tell— somebody needs to tell you, or you need to tell yourself that you are doing something wrong. And I think that is what is so hard with trading, and what I find with a lot of my mentorship students especially I will tell them when we're looking at a chart one-on-one, I will tell them, why are you doing this? That is not right. You're— who's taught you this? Or where have you got this information from? And for example, they could say, oh, I've took someone in, someone in trades over the past few days, and it's worked, and I didn't know I was doing something wrong. Or it could be something that they were doing that they thought they were doing right, but they've just got mixed up. And that's the thing with trading, you can be doing something so wrong but you don't even know it's wrong. You think you're doing the right thing. And if nobody ever tells you or nobody ever corrects you, then you're going to keep doing that thing over and over again. And this also comes to one of my points in the future, which we can skip to now, is journaling. Journaling will help you so much as long as you do it properly, okay? When I say journaling, I don't just mean at the end of every trading day, you opening up your notebook and writing in, I took one winning trade today, it was a nice 1:2 risk-reward, close the book. That's not going to teach you anything. The whole point of a journal is so that you can look on your previous trades, you can look at the data, you can see, okay, I took 8 trades, 8 of those had equal lows, all of those 8 trades with 8 equal lows, always winning trades. Okay, you're obviously going to keep using equal lows. Another great example I like to use is where you take your profits. Let's say you take 10 trades. On 6 of the trades that you take, you take profits at a 1:1 risk to reward. And of those 6 trades that you took a 1:1 risk to reward ratio, they actually all ran to a 1:4 risk to reward ratio targeting, let's say, external liquidity. Okay, what have you now learned? You have now learned that you need to start to target higher liquidity points, okay? So as well as being in a community, teaching, using your journal and journaling correctly will be one of the best things that you can do. And I know it's boring, I know not everybody wants to make a journal, and you don't have to make it fancy, but you need to do— you need to make sure it's necessary to your learnings, okay? Now the next thing, stop chasing certain money goals. Yes, you want to quit your job. Everybody is in the same situation that you are currently in who's learning how to trade. That's what I love about trading. No matter where you started, nobody can give you some sort of secret that you have now got that you will instantly become profitable. It's like going to the gym. No matter what your background is, no matter where you've came from, who you're friends with, if you go to the gym every single day and you lift weights and you eat the right way, you're going to gain muscle, you're going to get fitter. It's the exact same with trading. If you trade every single day, you journal every single day, you follow the right steps, you livestream, you, you watch a livestream, for example, or you just live forward test, what is going to happen? You're going to get better and better and better at trading. That is the reality. There's no— you can't not get better if you're going into trading. You're trading for 30 minutes, you're looking at your phone, you've got a video on YouTube on your iPad, you've got something else going on, there's too much distractions. Guess what? You're not going to see the results that you want to be seeing. And again, that is just the reality of it. You need to put 100% focus into the learning, into the education. If you get obsessed with learning how to trade and stop thinking that you're better than you are then you will actually start seeing progress. And that is when you'll suddenly start going from making no money. You'll be, let's say you call it 6 months, and then boom, you'll get a payout. You've got a $2,000 payout. Boom, then you start suddenly stacking some accounts on top of each other. That's a $10,000 payout. Then you do it again. That's a $20,000 payout. Then you have a live account. And suddenly, before you know it, you're making consistently over $20,000 a month. And you won't even feel like anything has changed. You're just doing the same thing over and over again and being consistent and being persistent. Okay, if you put these into practice, then you will go extremely, extremely far. But that is just the start. How are you actually going to do that? Now, prop farms— prop farms are made so you can start with not a lot of money and you can make a lot of money. Okay, that is extremely, extremely important, and we're in a time where that is extremely useful useful, and we are lucky in a way that that is there and we can take advantage of that. But guess what? It's only an advantage if you use it to your advantage. The amount of people that I know that have spent so much money, in the tens of thousands of dollars, on prop farms because they think it's something that is a game, it's something that you just play this game to try and pass a challenge, and then you get money that you try and make more money with to make a withdrawal. It is a game. You can look at, look at it as a game. But guess what? You're made to lose that game. Prop firms try to gamify these challenges because they want you to lose. Prop firms want you to lose, okay? Because that's how they make their money. Spoiler alert if you didn't know that, okay? Prop firms want you to lose. That is the thing about trading. So You need to take away this mindset of, okay, I've never got a payout before, I want to make $10,000 a month, what should I do? I should buy 5 different prop farms accounts, spend thousands of dollars on prop farms, but I actually don't know how to trade. You're stupid. You're never going to get to where you want to be. What you should be doing instead— oh, my bad, my back was hurting, so I've just jumped in the Maybach quickly, but What I was saying is basically you need to start with— how are you actually going to do that with prop firms? Okay, this is the secret trick. It's extremely simple. You're going to start with one prop firm account. Okay, just start with one prop firm account. I don't care if you want to make $20,000. I don't care if you've got $100,000 in the bank account. Okay, start with one prop firm challenge account. Trade the evaluation phase like you would trade a PA account. Okay, do that. Once you can pass the evaluation stage legitimately and you can see, okay, I've traded 10 days, I've made over $200 on these days, I've stayed consistent, I've risked my manage— my risk management has been perfect, then guess what? Then you're starting to go in the direction of, okay, let's say you pass that evaluation legitimately and you do want to trade with more accounts. Then after you pass that one account and that account is on a PA stage or a live account stage, that is when you can start expanding and buying some more accounts, okay? That is where you go from one account to maybe you go to 5 accounts, you go to 2 accounts, 3 accounts. The number doesn't matter at the end of the day, as long as you're doing it properly and managing your risk. And this is the most important part about being and becoming a successful trader. And the sooner that you realize this, the better you will become, and the quicker that you will actually make consistent profits, okay? Your risk management. If you want to risk $250 every single trade, risk $250 every single trade. Don't risk $500, don't risk $400. And if you get to the point where you're trying to risk $250 but you accidentally risk $600, that— you're awful at trading, okay? You're not trading, you're gambling. The part about trading is that you have your advantage and you use the markets to your advantage, okay? If you're an undisciplined person, then guess what? The market doesn't care, and the market will eat you alive. You have to become disciplined, and you have to become disciplined quickly, okay? And then this is also a common question that I get asked. People watch my live streams— I live stream every single day on Discord— they will say, Louis, how are you so patient? How are you so disciplined? I've learned the hard way. I've lost money trading. You've probably lost money trading. And guess what? It gets to a point where you either learn to make money in the markets by being disciplined, or you're not disciplined and you will never make money and you're just throwing money into a pit. Okay, the light's just turned off. It's fine, we're carrying on. So be consistent with your discipline, and that will of course come over time. You're not going to suddenly open up the charts after you've watched this video and then become extremely profitable and you're never going to break a rule again. It is going to happen. Of course, sometimes you're going to break a rule. Of course, sometimes you're going to make a mistake, okay? But that's also something that profitable traders will do a lot differently to unprofitable traders. If a profitable trader makes a mistake, you should move on from that mistake. If an unprofitable trader makes a mistake, they're going to fall into this pit where they keep losing and, and losing and losing. They try and revenge trade, they try and make back their money. If you do that, as you know, you will never become profitable. I know most people watching this video right now, you've probably lost some money here and there. And let's say you take a trade, let's— this— okay, let me just give one specific example that I like to give because I know it's happened to most people trading. It's happened to me. People forget, and people see all my cars that I have, my watches, you know, my apartments, my property portfolio, and don't— and kind of forget that I've been in your situation. I have been there sitting in my room for 8+ hours a day looking at the charts for literally all day trying to trade. I didn't even know what sessions were. I didn't know that there was a New York session. I didn't know that there was a London session. When I was 16, 17 years old, sitting on the charts, I didn't want to make millions of millions of dollars. I just did not want to carry on working this job that I know that I had to wake up to an alarm every single day. I had no freedom. I had to ask people when I wanted to go on holiday. It's just not the life that I ever wanted to live. And I'm proud of myself that I took action when I was young and I just committed to it. I committed to trading Money was never the equation. I knew that if I carry on doing what I am doing every single day, I don't care if it takes me 6 years, I don't care if it takes me 6 months, 1 year, I know that where I want to be, I will be there. And that is the mindset that you need to have. Stop looking for some quick money. If you want quick money, go to the casino. You have a better chance there than trading if you want quick money. If you want longevity and you want consistency and you want results, then you're going to have to put in the time and show up every single day. Trading is not something that you can do for 30 minutes one week and then an hour the next week. It doesn't work. It's like anything. If you want to become a professional football player, what do they do? They train every single day. There's a reason why the top traders are such a small percent of people and why they make such a large amount of money. It's because that small percent of people do what the most people don't want to do. The way that I like to look at it as well is, let's say 5% of traders are profitable, right? Let's just use that as a number. 5% of people— that means that 5% of people are doing what 95% of people don't do. And this comes down to the little, little things, whether it's your diet in real life, whether it's your diet as in you're, you're eating healthy foods so then when you go to the charts your mind is healthy. How many fat traders do you know compared to fit or skinny traders. Okay, exactly. You don't know many fat traders because they're out of— they're out of day— their daily routines are not consistent, they're not disciplined. And your life translates to the charts. If you're disciplined in real life, if you show up to what you say you're going to do, everything will just fall into place. Okay, that was a bit of a random analogy. And this whole video, as you probably tell, I'm not reading off anything. I'm literally just going with the flow and saying what I am thinking in my mind, literally. So yeah, I know that this is a different type of video, and I think if you do enjoy these types of videos, please do let me know in the comments below. I know that these videos won't necessarily get as many views as my other videos and things like that, but I just hope that you— this is the important stuff. Like, this is what is going to make you profitable. Anybody can learn a strategy. Anybody can make money here and there. But not what everybody can do, is lose money and then stay consistent and trust the process and actually come out on top. I mean, at the end of the day, that is the hard part. I hope you liked this sort of video. If you want me to go more in depth on something specific, whether that be a video on only do it talking about risk management, only talking about how you're going to take on prop farms, for example, simply let me know in the comments below. Subscribe, and yeah, I hope you enjoyed this video.
