In this solo monologue, Lucas Wilhelm Hedenbäck argues that the modern fitness and supplement industry deliberately keeps people dependent on synthetic products because a truly healthy person would be a poor customer. He explains that most popular supplements—whey protein, creatine, multivitamins, fish oil, pre‑workouts, and peptides—are chemically isolated, often derived from petrochemical processes, and lack the complex cofactors found in whole foods. He details how whey protein is a heavily processed dairy by‑product, how industrial creatine is synthesized from toxic precursors, how multivitamins contain synthetic isolates (even cyanocobalamin with cyanide), and how peptide “hacks” are mass‑produced in sketchy labs. Hedenbäck shares his personal experience of quitting all these supplements three years ago, noting improved strength, leanness, and overall health. He concludes that real health comes from foundational pillars—real food, sunlight, adequate sleep, stress management, and gut health—rather than patented powders and pills, and invites viewers to subscribe and consider his 1‑to‑1 coaching.

The fitness industry does not want you healthy because a truly healthy person doesn't need 14 supplements, doesn't need synthetic powders, and doesn't need to constantly buy the next optimization hack. A healthy person is a terrible customer. The deeper I went into the health and fitness industry, and the more I started questioning everything, and the more I realized almost everything being sold to us is a synthetic imitation of something nature already solved and provided. Most people today build their entire health around protein powders, creatine, multivitamins, fish oils, pre-workouts, peptides even. And they think that this is what optimized health looks like. But meanwhile, digestion is destroyed, hormones are wrecked, energy is unstable, gut health is cooked, and their nervous systems are fried. Nobody stops to ask what actually is this stuff, where does it all come from, and how is it made? The issue today is that most synthetic supplements are not actually food. They are chemically isolated compounds manufactured in industrial labs, often derived from petroleum byproducts and industrial solvents. And companies don't need to tell you the full manufacturing process. They just show you the final label and the final product. The modern supplement industry literally They grew out of the petrochemical boom of the early 1900s. The same industries refining fuel realized they could also refine vitamins, powders, and synthetic nutrients because there was a massive money or financial advantage in it. And this is the biggest thing people don't understand. A synthetic nutrient is not the same thing as the living nutrient found in nature. When you eat an orange, you're not just getting vitamin C, you're getting enzymes, bioflavonoids, cofactors, phytonutrients, an entire living system your body actually recognizes. When they isolate vitamin C in a lab, you're getting a dead approximation, a Frankenstein copy of what exists in nature. Let's start with some of the biggest things people always opt for: protein powder. Because this is one of the biggest scams in the industry, in my opinion. Most commercial whey protein comes from industrial dairy waste, the leftover byproduct from cheese manufacturing. Then it gets ultraheated, heavily processed, and sometimes irradiated, which destroys enzymes, lactoferrin, and the bioactive compound that made whey valuable in the first place. So what you're left with is a dead protein isolate. Then they add sucralose gum, stick and there's artificial flavors to turn it into a cookie dough milkshake protein. And then people wonder why their gut is getting destroyed, they're bloated, they're farting all day long, and their digestion feels terrible. And I used all of this— the classic beginner bodybuilding stack: whey protein, creatine, fish oil, multivitamin. And honestly, I feel significantly healthier, stronger, and leaner since quitting all of those things 3 years ago. If you want protein, go for eggs, Greek yogurt, raw milk if you tolerate that, Meat. What do all these things have in common? Well, it's real food. And we have the second biggest enemy here, creatine, the one supplement nobody questions. So many studies and most studied thing on the planet, right? Every influencer says just take creatine. Every coach, everyone on the planet says it's good for muscles, recovery, brain function, performance, and apparently it fixes everything. It's some magic powder. But nobody asks what is creatine actually made from? Industrial creatine monohydrate is synthesized through chemical reactions involving cyanamide and industrial acids. Some of these compounds are toxic enough to be used in pesticides, and somehow people think spoon-feeding themselves with industrial powder every day is peak health. Meanwhile, your body already produces creatine naturally and gets creatine from red meat and fish. Nature already solved the problem. I haven't taken creatine in years and I'm stronger, bigger, leaner than when I did. That should make people question things. Third biggest thing everyone always takes is multivitamins. Multivitamins are an illusion of health. People think that I took my multivitamin, so I'm covered for the day. Meanwhile, they're still Sleep is terrible, their diet is terrible, their stress is super high, their sunlight is nonexistent. And most multivitamins are synthetic isolates, poorly absorbed, and compressed together in ways nutrients would never exist naturally. Even forms like cyanocobalamin literally contain cyanide molecules. This is not nutrition, it's chemistry. And then the last one that everyone is always talking about, peptides. Everyone wants fat loss peptides, recovery peptides, sleep peptides. Nobody wants to fix their stress, their sleep, their gut health, and their recovery. A lot of these compounds are also under research, mass-produced, and coming from sketchy overseas labs, synthetic garbage sold as optimization. You cannot inject your way out of bad habits, poor sleep, chronic stress, and nervous system dysfunction. The supplement industry profits when you stay dependent because the fundamentals— sunlight, movement, real food, sleep, stress management— cannot be patented. Nature already solved most of these problems. The industry reverse-engineered dead copies, patented them, marketed them, and sold them back to you. And the craziest part, when I stopped chasing supplements, hacks, powders, synthetic optimization, instead started focusing on real food, sunlight, stress management, gut health recovery, I got into the best shape of my life. So if this resonates with you and you're tired of feeling inflamed, chasing supplements, relying on powders and pills, then stop looking for shortcuts. Start fixing the foundation because real health is built through alignment with your biology. Thanks for watching. If you're new to the channel, subscribe.
