Unfortunately, Looking Like This Has Very Little to Do With the Gym

In this solo monologue, Lucas Wilhelm Hedenbäck challenges the conventional fitness narrative that places training frequency, perfect diet, and cardio as the primary levers for achieving and maintaining a muscular physique. He recounts his own journey from a high‑volume training regimen and strict dieting—while juggling a demanding corporate job—to a minimalist approach of training only 1–2 times per week. The turning point was realizing that surface‑level inputs (exercise, nutrition, cardio) are ineffective unless the body’s internal systems are optimized. Using an advertising analogy, he likens training and nutrition to ad spend, and the body’s internal health (gut health, nervous system balance, stress management, hormonal regulation, lifestyle factors) to the creative element that determines ROI. He argues that 80 % of health outcomes stem from these internal systems, and that neglecting them leads to hormonal downregulation, gut dysfunction, and overall performance decline, especially under chronic stress. Hedenbäck critiques reliance on external substances such as peptides, emphasizing that a well‑balanced diet cannot compensate for a compromised internal system. Instead, he advocates focusing on gut integrity, stress reduction, nervous system health, and hormonal balance, which will naturally produce a good physique as a by‑product. Desired health markers—high energy, mental clarity, zero brain fog, smooth digestion—are presented as the true goals, with physique being secondary. He concludes with an open invitation for anyone to test his health claims, underscoring confidence in his system‑first approach.

Okay, so I'm able to look like this year-round, training probably 2 times per week averaging, or to be honest, the last 3 months I've probably averaged 1 time per week. But I'm able to do this because I understand leverage in health. And a lot of people used to, or a lot of people think that leverage in health comes from training and the perfect diet and doing cardio. And these are the things that will actually get you to shape because this is the This is the norm, this is what the fitness industry is pushing, and this is exactly what I used to believe back in the days when I was training 5 to 6 days a week. I was dialed with my nutrition, following every single perfect diet philosophy and approach according to all these bodybuilders that I was following online. And I looked like this, right? I didn't get rewarded from the work that I was putting in, in my own opinion. So I started to question everything because I felt like I'm doing everything right on paper, But I'm not, like, this can't be it. This can't be the return that I'm getting from all this work that I'm putting in. And I started to question everything that I'd been initially taught, and I started questioning my beliefs, and very quickly understood that training and nutrition is very surface level. You can only train so hard. You can only eat so good. You can only do so much cardio. But, So those things are not very scalable, right? And this is the part almost no one gets. And in this video, I'm gonna break down exactly what this means and how you should go about things instead in order to be able to look like this year round without even like literally trying. So we have to understand this, that once again, surface level inputs, training, nutrition, surface level. If the system receiving those inputs is not dialed in, it doesn't matter how hard you train, Or how well you eat, if you can't absorb the food, if you can't recover from the training, if you can't fuel your hormone production, whatever it might be, right? And this is the shift that I made. And I'm gonna explain this concept in an analogy that I like to think of. And I like to use analogies because it helps you, like real-life analogies, because it helps you kind of understand the mechanism behind it in a more like real-life situation. So if we have an ad, right, if you're a business owner, you most likely have something to do with ads, whether you're running ads or whatever, you've seen ads. Let's paint it this way. We have the creative, which in the current state is the most important thing, right? The creative is the most important thing. So the video or the picture or whatever it might be. If you have a shit creative, creative, but you put a lot of money behind it, doesn't really matter how much you're spending, your ROI is most likely gonna be absolute shit because of the fact that the creative is shit. So your return on investment will not be very favorable. But on the flip side of things, if you have a very, very, very good creative that is converting very, very well, Doesn't need a— you don't need a rocket scientist to understand that if you then put just some money behind that, you're gonna get a very good ROI. And you've also then created a literally money printer where kind of the more effort or the more money you're putting in, you kind of already know what you're gonna get out. And this is how I want you to think about your health as well, because your health works exactly So what is, if the ad spend, if the money is training and nutrition in this case, and supplements and all these other surface-level things, what is the creative then, right? And that is gut health, nervous system health, stress management, hormonal health, managing your lifestyle, because 20% of the equation is training and nutrition. The other 80% comes from the things that almost nobody actually focuses on. Focuses on and puts emphasis on. And this is the game changer. When you understand that it's more important to dial in your gut health and be more on top of your stress management and your nervous system health and optimize those things, that is the creative. That's how you optimize the system. And that is how you're then gonna be able to actually get the return out of the surface level input, which is the training and nutrition in this case. And that is literally the secret and the concept to why I'm able to stay like this year-round. It's because those are the things that I'm actively focusing on. I don't focus on training and nutrition because a good physique always comes natural as, or if you have good health, right? A good physique is always a natural byproduct of you actually being truly healthy from the inside. You've heard me say this before. So just, Get this into your mind. Training and nutrition doesn't matter if the system receiving it is not optimized and dialed in. And back in the days for me, when I was working a corporate job at one of the biggest banks here in Sweden and also starting my business at the same time, my stress was through the roof. And then I started to add, or then I added a shit ton of training, barely any calories because I was trying to lose weight, cardio, all these other stressors to an already completely fried system. What do you think is gonna happen? Every single function in my body is just completely downregulating. Hormones go down, libido go down, gut health nuked, nervous system fried, you know? And then I'm standing here thinking that more work is gonna give me, get me anywhere, which is simply not the case. Because it's the same thing with business. That's why I said leverage in the beginning as well. If it's not the one that works the hardest that gets the most amount of results. It's the one that has the most amount of leverage and the one that works the smartest. Health, exactly the same. You can train once again as hard as you want, you're just going to fry your body. You can diet as hard as you want, which is also another stressor that you're putting to your body or onto your body. And then you can do as much cardio as you want, which is another stressor, which all of these things is just literally, here's a pistol, shoot myself in the foot. Here's another, shoot myself in the other. Here's another, shoot myself in the arm, right? That's what you're doing. You're not optimizing the system at all. So the biggest takeaway I want you from this is literally shift your focus. Focus on optimizing the system, gut health, stress management, and all these things, and then we can start focusing on the surface-level inputs, which is training and nutrition. And this is exactly what I've been doing, and that is why I'm able to work out 1 to 2 times per week, because I'm busy. I'm a busy guy right now. I don't have more time. I'm focusing on building one of the best products on the market in my specific niche. niche, in this niche, in the health niche, and I have all these ideas and things that I want to do. I don't have time to train 5, 6 days out of the week. No way. Like 1 to 2, and I want it to be very, very efficient as well. And that is exactly how I'm structuring things right now. And I understand that the system is more important, so I'm still able to stay ripped, look jacked, natural, which is also another thing. In the beginning of my journey, everyone was like, or I wanted to just get big, become a bodybuilder. That was my first goal. If you watch my channel, you already know this. Now it's like I don't even care about how I look. Literally, I train because it makes me feel nice. I eat good because I feel good and all these things. I have high energy. Those are the things I want. I want high energy. I want laser-sharp focus. I want mental clarity. I want zero brain fog. I want smooth digestion. These are the things that I want. And then by Those things being, you know, the things that actually are indicators that you're healthy, obviously a good physique will come as a natural byproduct. So I'm not even trying, which is kind of, maybe sounds a bit cliché to say, and some idiot is gonna say, oh, but you're pinning yourself with all the fucking bullshit things. Literally zero, I've never touched anything. And I have an open invitation for anyone at all time to buy me whatever test you want and make me do it, and I'll do it. Buy me a test, I'll go take whatever test you want. To prove it, to prove it. So it's actually a pretty interesting topic because everyone like obviously pepper pepper tides. Let's call it that. I don't think I don't know if I'm getting censored if I say the say the the real word. It's a very it's something that everyone talks about right now, right? It's a magic magic solution to all issues. Whether you have gut issues, this that whatever blah blah blah blah blah it fixes everything. Right? This is absolutely terrible, and this is a natural occurring process in our body. Yes, but if your natural occurring processes don't work right now, the solution is not a syringe, an external bullshit chemically fucking made substance. No, it's fixing the system so that all these processes that created those short chain amino acids start to upregulate and work again. And if you do external external solutions to that and you mask your body's inability to produce those things yourself, well then you're gonna be dependent on those things for the rest of your life, right? And that is the thing, the part that no one says. Because if you eat a super, super well-balanced diet, you get a lot of omega-6, a lot of fatty acids, fatty fish, beef, organ meats, all these things, you get the full spectrum of— Nutrients. amino acids and peptides, right, from that. So there's no need to take an external substance. The issue here is that people's systems, the system receiving those amino acids, is completely messed up. Therefore, you feel absolutely terrible and your health is shit. Shift your focus, results will come. This is the thing you have to understand. It doesn't matter how hard you train. I've said this too many times now. If the system receiving the training and receiving the nutrition is not optimized. Because the best of the best diet, I don't care how much you're spending, you're spending $2,000, $3,000 a month on food, which is fantastic, right? But that best of the best food is not gonna save your system. It can still cause leaky gut, gut permeability, dysbiosis, SIBO, SIFO, all these things. So system over everything. That's my message for you today. Thank you.
