In this solo talk, certified personal trainer and dietitian Lucas Wilhelm Hedenbäck shares the core lesson he’s learned from advising ultra‑wealthy entrepreneurs: no amount of money can compensate for poor health. He argues that health should be viewed as a multiplier that amplifies every other area of life—business, relationships, mental sharpness—rather than a side project tackled after financial success. Hedenbäck introduces the concept of a "stress budget," explaining that the nervous system does not differentiate between stress from work, training, or daily life; cumulative stress can collapse performance, impair digestion, and cause gut issues even when consuming premium foods. He critiques standard bodybuilding nutrition and training programs as being designed for low‑stress, full‑time athletes, making them ineffective for high‑pressure professionals. The solution he proposes is a personalized, prevention‑first health roadmap that aligns nutrition, training, recovery, and sleep with an individual’s unique stress load and lifestyle. By prioritizing health now, entrepreneurs can boost productivity, confidence, and ultimately their business outcomes, avoiding the regret of trying to “fix” health after it has deteriorated.

One of my biggest lessons after working with a couple very, very wealthy individuals is that no amount of money, no amount of monetary gains can compensate for you not being healthy and you not being in shape and you not being the best version of yourself. Yes, it can help you shortcut the journey. Yes, it can help you fast-track the journey. But at the end of the day, it all comes down to consistency, priorities, values, and standards. And what these guys usually realize later on in their life when they have this billion-dollar company or multi, multi-million-dollar-a-month company is that they've been putting health on the back burner for so long. And now when they've done the business side, they can focus on the health side, which is a very bad way to frame it in my opinion, because what they miss to understand is that health should amplify your life. Health should make every single other area of your life better if you do it correctly. Having this mindset that you have to just lock in on your business and you can't focus on your health is one of the worst beliefs that you can possibly have. And all these guys realize that when they are done with the business side and they end up coming to the realization that, okay, now I've done this and I've fucked myself up so much from a health perspective that now I'm going to have to put all my resources and time to try to fix this. What if there was a way where both your health and your business and your relationships all could be elevated at once. And there is— it's just about understanding one key concept that most of these guys also have failed to understand, and that is that they've had nutritionists, they've had dietists, they've had meal plans. They have most likely been training and doing that consistently for a good amount of years. All of these guys, but they simply haven't seen the results, and they think that you know it's because of their work they can't be doing this, and therefore they're putting it on the side and they're prioritizing their business. And then when I'm done, I can focus on that. It's this is coming from someone that is a certified personal trainer and a certified dietitian and nutritionist, right? The school teaches advice made for bodybuilders. On steroids, in most cases. And it's advice made for people that have work, food, or not have work. They have food, training, recovery, eating as their life. They don't have any work stress. They don't have any families to take care of. They don't have a big, big business to run. And it failed to understand that. We have a set amount of stress that we can accumulate on a daily basis. This is what I usually call the stress budget. Your nervous system doesn't care if the stress is coming from training, from business, from from life, from conversations, from whatever it might be. It all hits the same system. And if you're stacking high workload with high training volume and all these things, your system is going to collapse. You're going to end up in a stress stress depth. And this is where most people get trapped. And they think that you know I can't. I can't get to my dream physique because of the work or because of whatever reason. And no, it's simply not true. It's just that you have to understand the root cause and your own bottleneck, which usually for most people is stress. It's the same thing with food. If you're eating the best of the best quality food, the grass-fed beef, the local honey, the pasture-raised eggs, but you're always constantly eating in a stressed state, You're not going to absorb and digest any of that, which is going to lead to even if you eat the best of the best food, a leaky gut, gut dysbiosis, bacterial overgrowth. The best of the best food can be very bad and dangerous, even if it's the best of the best food, if your system is not optimized. And this is where everything goes wrong. The thing that they also fail to understand is this. When you prioritize your health, when you sleep good, when your hormones are good, you're going to be more mentally sharp. You're going to be more productive. You're going to feel better. You're going to be more confident. All these things are going to help you, which in return are also going to help your business life in nine times out of nine, nine point nine. I'd argue there is no single area of your life that won't benefit from you being dialed from a health perspective. So. Instead of viewing this as I'll fix this later, the biggest lesson that I'm taking away from these people is that they all wish that they could go back in time and actually let health and business ride hand in hand because they also understand that that would have elevated probably their business life, not just their health life. And they come to the realization that No amount of money was worth this because my health is fucked, and they would want to do anything in their power, and they will. They are trying to to buy all the fancy equipment, all the short shortcuts and fast tracks. But at the end of the day, it just comes down to once again priorities, consistency. It doesn't happen overnight, and doing the right things and executing on a roadmap that actually works for your life and is designed for your life, not designed for someone that lives a completely different life because then it will never work. So the takeaway I want you, or the thing that I want you to take away from this video, is the best cure is prevention. Instead of having this mindset of I'm just going to scale up my business, I'm going to make so much money, and then I'll take care of this. No, the best cure is prevention. Focus on your health right now. Because that is going to elevate every single area of your life. And don't do the mistake that all these very, very wealthy people do, where they end up in a situation where they wish they could get— go back in time and set their priorities straight and differently compared to what they did. No amount of money Can ever compensate for lack of health. That's the lesson.
