Maex Ament, co-founder of Centrifuge, built one of Europe's largest invoicing networks at Thalia. He's now combining invoicing, fintech, and blockchain to create a decentralized system for global supply-chain finance where buyers, suppliers, and documents like invoices live on a shared network.

Hey, my name is Maex, Maex Ament. I am super excited to join the Exchange Summit in Berlin and talk about my newest and I guess so far biggest passion that I'm currently enjoying as the co-founder of Centrifuge. Some of you might know me from my days at Thalia where myself and my co-founders built one of the largest invoicing and supply chain finance networks. And in my presentation, I'll try to bridge the gap between invoicing networks networks, fintech, and as well blockchains, my newest passion. I'll try to show how we feel about creating a new decentralized system to support the financial supply chain on a really global scale. And when I say financial supply chain, by the way, I mean business identities, buyers, suppliers, the exchange of documents like invoices or purchase orders, and then most importantly, services on top of this network that we're about to build. I'll describe a vision for creating a new way to transact, collaborate, and establish a shared identity and reputation across those networks. And the key focus will definitely be to show how third parties like procurement and e-invoicing networks can provide financial services within such a system, therefore creating a new way of adding value and monetization avenues for participating networks. Really looking forward to seeing you in Berlin. Bye.
