In this reflective monologue, a band member (Speaker A) explains how personal relationships and chance connections led to their first European tour supporting the band Ice Nine. He recounts earlier U.S. touring experiences, the decision to bring an inexperienced but trusted tour manager, the DIY logistics of finding a van and planning the tour, and performing for 1,500‑2,000 people nightly across Europe. The experience taught valuable life lessons, reignited his passion for music, and reinforced the belief that seizing opportunities is essential. He expresses gratitude for the luck and chance that continue to provide such opportunities for the band.

No, I mean, this is where I think everything comes back to. This industry is built around relationships and opportunities, right? Like, we had a relationship that stemmed to an opportunity through some friends of ours, and we got to do that Ice nine run. And that was our first real experience to, like, you know, it's interesting. You know, we did the touring thing in the States and we had some great shows, but all of a sudden you, you know, again, it kind of for me, mentally took me back to those days of being 25. Because now, know when you would tour around the US you knew what it was like to be in Albuquerque or what it was like to be in Springfield, Illinois. Like, you've been to those places now, you know, is that the shock of we're just gonna get. We again lands down just again, our mindset. We'll just figure it out. You know, we had a label, which sounds helpful, but at the same time, we brought a tour manager with us that never managed a tour, but, like, we just really liked him and we knew he was good at, like, he was at organizing and he was good at this. It was like, we're just going to figure it out. So we literally found a van, planned it, and then supported Ice 9 and, you know, playing the, you know, 1500, 2000 people a night, you know, all over Europe. And, like, that was our first European tour. Like, you know, a little spoiled to say that was our first one, you know, like, but, you know, with that came a lot of, again, life lessons and learning as to, you know, what's really possible. But I think, you know, what that did is create this. This new fire within, at least for me. And it can't speak for you, Sean, but, like, now I'm like, you do those tours, you do, like, Shiprock. You're like, I was meant to play music on a stage. You know, like, you realize that. That we have to take advantage of these opportunities. And, like, we're lucky. Like, we are incredibly lucky that these still exist for us.
