How to Stay Connected to Your Fans as You Grow #shorts

Mark Roberge says as your fanbase grows, shift from one-on-one messages to community spaces like Discord or Facebook groups where fans connect with each other. Use live streams on release nights to give special access at scale, and tools like Fanflowy help you keep personal touches even when you're bigger.

As your fan base grows, it's harder to be intimate with them, right? The same tactics that you use with 50 fans are not the same that you're going to have with 500+. Ultimately, you know, replying to each one of them, having a direct communication channel is going to be harder the more you have. So ultimately, you know, you need to create some type of container for them. Ultimately, a Facebook group, a Discord group, even maybe like a WhatsApp group chat, right? It needs to be one-to-many, and it also has to be a place where fans can connect with each other and ultimately build a culture around you and create relationships around the fact that they're all fans of you, right? So that's one of those things. And then picking and utilizing certain moments to give them special access, whether it's a, you know, you're going live the night of your release and you're basically interacting with them, or you're gonna stream live during one of your shows or before the show. You know, so there's certain things that you can do to like really stay in connect with them where it's a one-to-many and it's not a direct one-to-one. Ultimately, you know, with Fanflowy, it's going to allow you— this is why we built it— to connect on that one-on-one level as you scale. But even more so, it's, it's really great when you can put them all into one place and have a community side of things so that now this community grows and they, you know, will ultimately, you know, create relationships inside there. I have so many different fans that are now friends. Friends because they met each other at a Prospect Hill show or they met each other in the group and they will, you know, travel and stay at each other's houses and come see the shows together. It's, it's pretty cool. So when you start to build that type of culture as you scale, that's the way to do it. So, you know, start thinking now, especially all you artists that are on the rise and coming up. Those tactics that are working now are not going to work as you, as you gain, you know, fans because it's just harder to communicate with all of them. There's not enough time in the day. So start figuring out, you know, which, which way you want to bring them. Do you want to do a Facebook group? Do you want to do a Discord? Do you want to have a group? Do you have a WhatsApp chat? Whatever it is, start filtering them there and then also utilizing those moments to do those live streams and interact with them as well. All right.
