Record labels told a nu-metal band they loved the underground buzz and professional package, but wouldn't sign them because their rosters were already packed with metal acts that weren't selling. It's a tough time for what one label called "Angry White dude metal."
That was kind of the vibe we got back from, from some labels that we had stayed in touch with to some degree. And they were like, look great, you guys are great. You know, you've got a lot of things going for you. You've got a good underground base, you've got a great local base, you've got, you know, fully packaged product, CD logo, you know, website, street team stickers, buzz, yada yada, right? But they just said, we're just not, you know, we have enough new metal bands on our roster and half of those guys aren't selling even if we love you. And it's just not a great time to push Angry White dude metal.
