For sure. And I think a lot about the future for our children and climate change and I mean, just the institution, like racism in school and human rights. And I really want to make a difference because I love kids, and I feel like education is the way. If you want to cure any problem, it starts with giving equal access to education, and that starts with parents and helping them educate their kids.
Yes, ma'. Am. I love that. I love how you put that. Yes, it definitely starts with parents. And, you know, we put big emphasis on the involvement of parents in their children's education, no matter the placement of the child, whether they're at home or in private or public or micro. It's just parents have to be involved for it to work.
Absolutely. And I will say, you know, I've had some incidents recently where people have said, you know, what business do you have talking about homeschooling, not being a homeschooling parent yourself? And I. So I thought a lot about that. I mean, and clearly I know some teaching strategies and curriculum and whatnot. But I think the biggest thing I learned as a teacher is that parents do know best. And so much of education is focused on disempowering parents. So much of the way the school is built is around telling parents they don't know best and the system knows best. And what I learned from teaching hundreds and hundreds of kids and meeting their parents was that that's actually not true. Parents really do know best, are the first ones to know what's going on and how to help their kids.
Yes, ma'. Am. And that's the experience that you need. Like, you don't have to birth children and know that there's something wrong with the school system.
