Welcome to Step up for Students. In this brief video, we will guide you through all the essential information needed to receive reimbursement for your child's school uniforms. First, let's talk about what's eligible. Only mandatory uniform items listed in your school's official uniform policy are covered. This includes shirts, pants, skirts, jumpers and school specific jackets or sweatshirts. Please note that accessories like belts, ties, skirts, socks, shoes, hair, bows and hats are not eligible for reimbursement. When providing proof of purchase for uniforms, it is essential to include all pages related to the school uniform policy. To start, you'll need a copy of your school's uniform policy. Make sure it clearly lists all required items for attendance. You'll need to submit all pages of this policy when requesting reimbursement. Here are some additional examples of school uniform policies. As a reminder, make sure your school's policy clearly lists all required uniform items. Next, purchase the required uniform items from a retailer of your choice. Be sure to keep your receipt. This is your proof of purchase. Your receipt must the retailer's name, the purchase date, each item purchased, the price of each item, subtotal, taxes, shipping, and grand total. If you're shopping online, save the full invoice or order confirmation. Ready to submit a reimbursement? Make your way to the EMA platform to upload the uniform policy from your school as well as any receipts. Make sure all required details are visible and legible. Missing or ineligible items may result in a denied or on hold reimbursement. We want to help you avoid any upload issues or delays in the process. Please make sure your files meet the necessary requirements. If your document doesn't meet these requirements, you'll see an error message and the upload will not go through. If you have questions or need additional help with your submission, please make sure to visit our website or contact the Engagement Center. Thanks for watching and as always, Step up for Students is here to support you every step of the way.
