CEO's Powerful Words Teamwork & Support Story

So let me give you a really quick little story. Regional venue, and it was the CEO, COO, the financial controller, all the top, you know, heavies of the leadership team were in this room. Then they had the executive chef, the sous chef, the duty managers, the supervisors, and then they had this young girl. Now, she'd only been with the venue for less than a year, and she'd just been made up to the cafe supervisor. Now, she was, as I said, she was a very young girl and she felt very intimidated. She's sitting in the room. We're all, you know, U-shaped table and talking about, you know, getting them to introduce themselves. And she starts to cry and, you know, and not uncontrollably, but more that real nervous cry. And she said, I just don't know why I'm here. And the CEO turned to her and said, because you're part of our team and we want you to know that We are here for you, but we are here for each other. And at just at that moment, I thought it was so wonderful for her because there are very few organizations that a CEO would have somebody so young and they're really just stepped up from their frontline sitting in a room together for multiple weeks on end. You could just see within her self-esteem went from here to here.
