Micromanaging your team is like driving with your brakes on. It takes a lot of energy to move that car with the brakes on. You might still get to where you want to go. But there's a lot of friction and you burn stuff out. Likewise, as a micromanager, if you're not open to what your team needs and you're the one always having to tell them what to do, when to do it, and how to do it, you're the one who suffers in the long run. You're the one who gets burnt out later on. And you end up pulling out your hair wondering, why can't Let people take initiative. It's much better to become the coach of your team rather than the micromanager of your team.
