One of the principles of this is that when someone throws destructive energy at you, a lot of times, we'll like to empathize. If you lead with service, you want to connect with them. And you have the gift to get into someone's shoes and see the world through their lens. The principle of detachment reminds you, you don't need to wear their energy like it's your jacket. Take it off. Empathize and then release. I talk about this all the time when I consult in customer service at hospitality, You see like travel airlines. I mean, everyone comes in hot when they're checking in for something. And so, I constantly remind them this principle of detachment so that you can be your best self for the next customer and you're not continuously sending that destructive energy down the line.
