A founder can be talented but run a failing business if employees are miserable and products don't sell. Fix employee satisfaction, align what you make with what customers want, and keep pushing. That shift turns a toxic workplace into one where teams actually want to show up.
And I've seen equally great people running businesses. Some, it's a disaster. They hate it. Everybody hates it. The employees want to leave. Nobody wants to work there. They're not making money. Things are falling apart. Very bright people. But just get a few things in the right direction and suddenly, business can be a lot of fun, meaning people want to work there. They love going to work. They're making money. But most importantly, they're making products that their consumers are loving. And so, I know firsthand that when entrepreneurs with all of their passion and courage and dedication get it right, not only do they have freedom and enjoy their best version of life, they're creating great things in the world that consumers learn to love. And so, to the extent that you or I can help entrepreneurs like figure things out, I know it's not easy to run businesses but there's so many successful businesses out there that you can learn from. Don't give up. Just make those tweaks. Stick to it. And to all the entrepreneurs and businesses out there, my hat goes off.
