It's amazing that in that little thread of emails, the leader failed to recognize the point of angst that the employee had. It is so important for us as leaders to be really tied into the words that people are using so we can understand where they're coming from. In this particular case, the leader was only thinking about his agenda and nothing else. It's really, really toxic leadership.
