Because ultimately, when people start their business, I mean, obviously, they're looking at risk. They're looking at, this is something I'm capable of doing. So, why do smart, capable business owners struggle most with this money mindset when they start making it?
And so, I want to tell you about this guy named Michael. He's an entrepreneur. And he grew up in a household where his parents, mostly his father, viewed people with wealth, with money as greedy, as grifters, as liars. That was the mindset that he kind of grew up with. And now here he becomes an entrepreneur, wants to serve others, wants to earn a good living and create wealth for himself. But greedy, you know, wealthy people are evil. Wealthy people are bad. You can't become what you resent. And so luckily for him, he became aware of that. He became aware of that money story that wasn't serving him. And he had to work on that and get past that, that it was okay to do well. So the first antidote or remedy to this, I guess, is self-awareness.
