Short instructional YouTube monologue (by Marissa Brennan) advising bridal hairstylists and wedding makeup artists to stop waiting for inspiration and instead create strategic, consistent social content. The speaker cites a poll (43% wait for inspiration), recommends concrete steps: reread bridal inquiries and booked-client emails to extract 5–10 common questions, analyze the past five trial consultations to write five client-story posts (problem → goal → desired look → process → resolution → result → how to get the look), and adopt a repeatable content plan to attract inquiries.
How are you coming up with the content that you're posting right now? I polled my community and to be honest, I was totally shocked that 43% of you wait until you feel inspired to post. I hate to break it to you, but that's not a content plan. That's a hope and a prayer. Inspiration doesn't just come out of thin air. You need to build the momentum. Because waiting to feel inspired to create content is a fast track to overthinking scrolling. Instead of posting copycat content saving other pros were putting a little spin on it, trying to make it your own and being totally invisible to the brides who would love to work with you. You don't need to scroll for inspiration anym. Instead, here's how you're going to get inspired to post content like today, reread old emails from your brides, whether they're inquiries or from your booked brides. Now you're going to write down five to 10 questions that they ask you and create content around it. Next, I want you to think back to your past five trial appointments. What did you guys talk about during the consult? Write down five client stories in this format. What was her main problem? What was the main goal? And the desired hair or makeup look that she was looking for? How did you achieve it? How did you overcome or resolve any problems? What was the end result? And then tell me how I can get this look. Stop hoping that a ride stumbles on your content and inquires with you. Because those pros that you follow that are posting their rides every single weekend booked out, they make it happen with a strategy. Be the pro who makes inquiries land in their inbox.
