Short YouTube monologue by Marissa Brennan offering predictions for the 2026 wedding industry focused on changing communication preferences. Brennan—drawing on ~10 years in wedding hair—argues that voice notes will replace traditional sales/consultation calls, recommends adding communication-preference fields to inquiry forms (email, call, DM, text, and Instagram handle), and offers additional predictions via a separate YouTube video.

Here's my 2026 wedding industry predictions. As somebody who has a decade of experience in the wedding hair industry, voice notes are now the new sales calls or console calls. Whatever you want to call them. But first, if you're still forcing every bride on a console call on a sales call, that's not going to work going into 2026. Your 2026 bride is not your 2020 bride. We need to release. Everybody buys the same because we don't. And if you're still telling yourself, oh, I keep getting ghosted, brides are slower to book with me because of my rates and you're forcing everybo call, I love you so much but let's rethink your booking process. Instead, add to your inquiry form. How do you prefer communication? Add email, call, DM or text. Make sure you're grabbing her Instagram handle because if she says DM or text, you're going to go over to her Instagram and you're going to shoot her a voice note. This is a zero pressure way for her to communicate but still feel like that connection you get from a call. But there's no pressure that you're going to sell her at the end. In fact, I've dropped $6,000 $20,000 just from voice noting back and forth with people I know and I don't regret it. If you want 10 other 2026 industry predictions, comment prediction and I'll send you my YouTube video. And make sure to follow me for more bridal business education that actually books you more brides.
