As a bridal hairstylist or makeup artist, we're taught to earn more, you have to work more. And so in a single year, I worked 100 weddings, bringing in $260,000 as a bridal hairstylist, and I'd never do it again because my pricing model was broke and I could have worked less weddings. Most bridal pros, myself included, confuse earning six figures with working more. So I'm going to show you the pricing model that keeps you stuck working 24/7 and the one that allows you to work less, earn six figures, and keep your sanity intact. But before I dive into the pricing breakdown for today, I put together a free live training called Price Yourself to Profit that's going to help you implement every single step that we talk about. To start actually implementing, I linked it down below for you, and you're absolutely going to want to sign up for this because you don't need more brides, you need a better way to get paid. So almost every single bridal pro that I talk to is following the same outdated pricing model, and it's the one that's quietly keeping you stuck working 24/7 focusing on volume. And everyone thinks this is the industry norm or the industry standard, because like we made it that. The one that looks like charge lower so you can book more, aka you're undercharging yourself, rely on volume to hit your wedding income goals, stay visible 24/7 so inquiries don't slow down. This is also known as the à la carte pricing model, and on paper it works, and maybe it's what's working for you right now. It's what I used to hit my $260,000 year, but again, I told you I could have worked less. Had I had a better pricing model. And again, it might be working for you right now until you live in those wedding seasons of what they actually look like, like servicing 70 to 100 brides in a year. Here's what that actually looks like. Your income is actually wildly unpredictable. You're constantly chasing your next booking, and you never actually get to turn your brain off because you're constantly managing and working with brides and clients. Because even though you're fully booked, you're still posting more to stay booked so you can book for the next year. You're managing an box full of hundreds of brides scheduling timelines, answering questions, whatever 2 AM thought she had, insert here. And then you wind up taking trials on your off days so you can accommodate your 100+ brides. It doesn't stop. And that's a pricing model that's built on volume, meaning you need to work a lot of weddings in order to hit that 6 figures. Now, when you're working 70 to 100 weddings in a season, here's what your calendar starts to look like. You got 3 back-to-back weddings, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, blocked out. Now we got to do trials for all those brides, so we have 100+ trials to schedule. So So now you're likely taking trials 2 days a week, 3 to 4 days a week. You gotta be in your inbox managing all of those clients, answering their questions, scheduling the trials, creating those timelines, adding on assistance, managing that. And on top of that, you're a full-time content creator in case you didn't know. You're posting to keep up with that 70 plus, 80, 100 plus weddings in a season. So you're constantly trying to get booked and booked and booked. Now, a pricing model that's built on leverage is gonna look like this. You have predictable income, meaning you know how much you'll make before a bride even books you. Your calendar is built for stability, so you're booking 6 months to a year out. When you walk into that year, you already have your booking set. We're not in that chasing vibe of needing to constantly hustle and keep up with the volume. Less brides to manage, so you can actually shut your brain off and be present. That pricing model is the package pricing model, and this allows you to work less weddings working smarter, not harder, and not overworking yourself or undercharging. Instead, you're leveraging one wedding to get the absolute most out of it versus constantly stuck in the chasing your next inquiry for more money, for more deposits, for more bookings on the calendar. This is possible when you stop undercharging and you actually price yourself to profit, because undercharging yourself is actually still really expensive. Now I know this because I lived it. Let me tell you a quick story. When I was working 70 to 100 weddings in a year, I moved a few times. Times. The first time I moved was during my 100 wedding year. Like, crazy. Like, what was I thinking? But hey, life happens. I wish I could tell you this was slow, intentional, I was able to soak in every single moment, but it wasn't. I was unpacking boxes one day, and the next hour I was getting ready for a wedding because that weekend I was fully packed. I didn't even get a weekend off. Back-to-back weddings, back-to-back trial appointments, dozens of emails in a day. Like, I was checking my inbox for emails from my brides. It was Chaos. And in between, still showing up on Instagram because I felt like I had to keep the inquiries in, because if I stopped, my income would disappear. I couldn't take time off, not because I didn't want to, but because my business didn't support me to. Now fast forward a few years, different move, different season. And honestly, that move was one of the hardest, most emotional times of my life. There was family stuff going on surrounding the move. There was just a lot going on, a lot of days where I couldn't function fully at capacity to show up for my brides or show up in my inbox. Like, a lot of rotting on the couch. And This time I didn't post on Instagram for 2 months, not once, and my bridal business was completely fine because I wasn't managing 70 to 100 brides in a single season. I was only able to do that because I cut my weddings in half. No more managing 100+ brides, no more unpredictable income that kept me a slave to the IG algorithm, no more hustling even when I needed a damn break. My bank account was steady, and for the first time my business actually supported me, not the other way around. And this is the part that nobody talks about, because undercharging doesn't just affect your income, it affects your entire It affects how you build a business to support you when you need it, when you need that time off, when you need the mental break. Because guess what? Life will be lifing. Life will happen. Things will happen. Things are out of your control, and you need a business that's going to support you even when you want to take some time off and not feel like it's going to fall apart the second you take a step back. And for that to happen, you want to have a pricing model that allows your business to be held and to hold that for you, one that gives you space and room to breathe. And if you want to start implementing this, this is exactly what I'm breaking down step step in my free live training, Price Yourself to Profit. I'm breaking down the math behind 70 weddings a year and cutting it in half to 35 to 40, how you can still hit 6 figures so you could stop relying on constantly posting, chasing inquiries, and finally have a business that feels predictable, not chaotic. If you've been feeling like you're working too much for the income that you're making, or like you can't slow down without everything slipping, this is the training you need. You can sign up in the link down below because you don't need more brides, you need a better way to get paid. I'll see you in the next one. Bye!
