A bridal hairstylist shares how switching from paid wedding sites to daily Instagram Reels grew her followers from 5,000 to 86,000 and annual inquiries from 240 to 829. She started posting Reels every day for 30 days in May 2021, canceled her WeddingWire subscription, and created the Bridal Preneur Reels Challenge to teach other stylists the same method.

Just four years ago I had 5,000 followers, averaging 240 yearly wedding inquiries, paying $300 a month for them on WeddingWatch. Today I have 86,000 followers and average 829 yearly wedding inquiries for free. How'd I do it? Let's take it back To May of 2021 Reels had just released and to be honest, I was upset. Now I have to do video. I can barely take photo. But I was paying hundreds of dollars to be on Wedding Wire getting spammy wedding inquiries that never booked me. And I just knew there had to be a better way. I looked at and 54% of the brides that booked me were already coming from Instagram. Shocker. I know because I had zero present. What do I actually have to lose at this point? I saw Brock Johnson doing a real chunk and posted a real every single day for 30 days straight. And skip a day. 30 days. I hit my first 10k followers. But the best part? Most brides were finding me for free. I canceled that Wedding Wire account so fast. Here's the worst part though. I had absolutely zero direction prompts, guidance. Nada. I was spending out just scrolling for reels that I could post, saving any and everything, just making it up as I went, trying to figure out what to post, how to edit, what do I even film. And again, I knew there had to be a better way. Which is why I created Bridal Preneur Reels Challenge.
