Marissa Brennan shows how to recreate Sofia Richie's sleek low bun from her rehearsal. She walks through smoothing the roots with a crimper, eliminating frizz, and adding hidden crown volume so pins grip. The bun placement and side lines shift slightly from the original preview.
Together. Our inspo was Sophia Richie's rehearsal to my hair. Here is what she did at her preview, and here's what we're changing. So she wanted the bun to sit a little bit lower, and she wanted to make sure that the lines on the side of her head were going straight back into the bun instead of up. You know what I mean? You're gonna see it later. I promise. So here's what's really important about this look. We need everything to be smooth. I don't want any bumps in this style. I don't want to see any waves of her natural hair. I want it to be smooth. Super, super smooth and sl. Which is why the prep is literally so, so important here. So I'm going in with my crimper at the root, making sure everything is super smooth. Otherwise, you'll see it in the style if it's not smooth, adding in some volume at the crown. But it's not for what you think. It's so that my pins have something to hold when I'm actually doing the bun. Okay. So here I am making sure it's super sleek. Like, I don't want any frizz. Okay. This is me putting in every ounce of energy in my body to make sure that there are zero bumps in this style. Got my elastic.
