I'm here to help and teach him what I, what I know and how I did it to discover freedom. There ain't no question Mark Kevin's when he stepping the doubt, he's closing deals. Time to tell him what the DM said.
Hey there, it's your boy, Mark Evans, dm. Welcome to another show of the Making of a dm. Yes, you are a dream maker and deal maker of your own life. As I'm sitting to you talking from the treehouse here in Kirtland Hills, Ohio. I'm so excited to share something with you as I'm just getting back from a 10 day experience with my family and I want to share that with you and how it's impacted my life in many ways over the last years. Before I get started today, I want to let you know we are booming. The podcast show is seeing growth like it's never seen before, thanks to you. It's so awesome to get the reviews we get daily, the messages I get on social media every day. People sharing the podcast show, how powerful and how amazing it's been for them and what they're learning from it. That means the world to me. So if you've gotten a chance to get over to itunes or whatever platform you listen to this podcast show on, please get over there and leave a five star review and message me and let me know that you knocked it out of the park with the review. Why it's important is because the algorithms and the systems love when users are generating information. All I'm asking you is to invest one to two minutes of your life to maybe make an impact in someone else's life. It's a great give. Simply when you post your review, what happens that gets populated in their system? Someone sitting at home, someone maybe it's working their butt off trying to figure out how to get around positive information to help change their life. You could be the one to introduce them to this process. You remember the first time you got introduced to like a positive environment, a podcast show, maybe a new book, maybe a mastermind or maybe a group around get around other good people. There's a lot of people that feel like they're stuck right now and your review could help them get unstuck. Don't be selfish, don't keep this information to yourself. Only don't think, ah, it's just another podcast show. It's no Big deal. Well, it is a big deal where you wouldn't be here listening. It is a big deal or I wouldn't be doing it. I'm not here to waste my time or your time. If this show's made an impact in your life in any way, shape or form, please take a couple minutes and leave a review. Not only that, the magician versus Mule book on Amazon is blowing up as well. I'm not sure yet. I'm trying to identify who has shared it, but a lot of people are buying that book and audiobook at a very rapid pace. So if you've gotten that book, we've had many reviews as well. Keep up the great shares, keep up the great information, sharing it with your people and, and there's a lot of cool stuff in that book that you can utilize in your life that will help make you the magician in your life. So I want to get started, I want to set the stage here as what I did recently. Actually I did this last December. I was sitting with my in laws, my mother in law in particular, and I and my parents and everybody. And I always ask, I'm always thinking, I'm the driver and I'm guessing you listening to the show, you're the dream maker. You're the person that's going to step outside of your family financial issues and walls and elevate your life and other people's life around you that you care and love. I mean, why else are we doing all this crazy stuff in business and dealing with stupid customers and crazy clients and silly shit that we got to deal with. But we love it, right? But I was sitting there talking to her and I'm like, her name's Diane. I'm like, diane, what is your dream? What is your goal? And she's like, I just want my kids and family to be healthy. I'm just glad everyone's here, blah, blah, blah. And I'm like, cool, what else? So we just started talking and I do this with my, I like I said I do this with a lot of people in my life because I really, especially people that I'm close to, my parents, my in laws, my uncles, my cousin, people that I care about, love like that. I want to, I want to really understand where they're at in their journey of life. And my mother in law is 74 years old at this point and from my experience, and my parents are in their 60s, they've kind of just given up or lost sight of what their goals are. They just want to live, they want to see Everyone around them happy, whatever that means. By the way, they want to see everyone healthy, which is super important. But assume all those are done, you're happy and healthy. Now, what is your dream? This might even be a question to you. What is your dream? And by prying and digging and getting a little bit forceful with her, she said, you know what? I've always wanted to take my family, all my kids, all my grandkids to a beach house for an entire week and pay for everything. I just never had the financial means to do it. I said, that's interesting. And then I just kind of, we just kind of kept talking about where would it be and it could be in the Carolinas and what would the house look like, what would you do? And you know, again, they're, they're just, they just want to hang out. She's 74, he's 80, he's 83. Like, they're not, they don't want to go out and play baseball and hockey and, you know, all this crazy stuff. They just want to enjoy family time, memories and moments on the beach. That was her dream. She suppressed this conversation with herself as if it's a write off, as it's never going to happen or can happen because it cost a lot of money, whatever that means, right? Everything I'm sharing with you is all relative, depending on who's saying it and how they're saying it and all that. So just be clear. So I asked her, how much does this dream cost? And the truth is she's like maybe five or ten grand. That's a lot of money to her. So I said, okay, I think it's more than that. I know what it costs to rent a beach house to house 12 people. It's more than five grand. It could be five grand a day, right? So then she starts minimizing her dream. The majority of the world does this. We've done this ourself. Depending where you're at financially, you start minimizing it. Well, I don't need to stay on the beach. I could stay a block or two off the beach. As long as we're close to the beach, that does change the price of everything. But that's not what your original dream was. So with a little bit of prodding, a little bit of pushing, I got to work thinking. I genuinely. One of the greatest gifts I love to get to do is to make people's dreams come true that I care about. So I sit with my wife and we're talking like, what could we do for your mother? For Christmas, we bought her a new cell phone. That was the gift we gave her during Christmas. And then I put together a cool little package for. And if you get on the show and check it out, I'll make sure you see what we sent her. We put together a package, we put a couple thousand dollars in ones on it, and we put tickets and all this on the ticket. It said $25,000 gift. The truth is, it came out to about $35,000. Not only did we get an amazing house on the beach in South Carolina, not only did we pay for everyone's flights to come in to South Carolina, not only did we pay for all the extravagant, cool, fun things, the, the trolleys and, you know, the cool events, the boat rides and going to looking for shark teeth and all this stuff privately and all that. Dinners I picked up, lunches I picked all that good stuff. And by the way, I'm not bragging. I'm sharing real with you. This is what makes me tick. This is what, from my experience, is what makes people like you tick. This is why you're doing what we do every day to get to a point where we can give back to another level. This, if you're not there, by the way. We're all there at some level, one way, shape or form. It could be a smaller gift at the beginning, that which I've done many times to get to where I'm at today. But this is also something that drives me daily, something that I don't want to get up. I got to get up because I got big goals and big dreams. Not just for me, but for the people that I know are not capable of accomplishing it. Not because they can't, because they just don't have what you and I have. And I'm not talking shit about them. I'm telling you the truth. We are gifted to even know that what we're talking about today is real. True story. So I don't take that for granted. So as I'm sitting there talking to, like I said, we put this all together and for the. For. We stayed there for seven days on the beach three days prior with some buddies. But for seven days, Diane got delivered dream for only $35,000. Her dream. She's 74 years old. If I didn't have that uncomfortable conversation, if I didn't probe and. And dig deeper into what her real dream was, I wouldn't be having this conversation with you. I wouldn't be where I'm at today, truthfully, if I didn't want to make other people's dreams come true. It takes money, straight up money to buy time, Money to pay for that beach house, Money to pay for a thousand dollar carriage ride, Money to pay for a thousand dollar boat ride. Money to pay for those five to $700 dinners. There's 12 people, there's a lot. Walk down, get ice cream, walk down, get salad, walk down, get some shrimp, walk down, get some lobster. All these things, right? This costs money. Money doesn't make me happy. What I do with the money makes me happy. I see so many great people get caught up on the wrong side of this. I don't love money. I love what money can do. Money's never lost. It's simply transferred. I know a lot of people are dealing, you know, and probing and growing and, you know, maybe not where they want to be financially, but one thing, rest assured, I shared this with you when I bought my dad his Corvette, his dream car. I would be absolutely the biggest piece of shit in life if I didn't invest $35,000 for Diane to live her dream and she passes away prior to me ever asking or achieving her dream. I've created the financial means to do it, but now I got to create the conversation to extract it. And most importantly, I got to execute and implement. It was so cool to be able to do. I'm very proud of it, by the way. And, and it's not like I said, it's not a bragging way. I'm not sharing this to impress, but to impress upon. But it was cool to get a message from her on Sunday, the day after we got back. Mark, what a fabulous week we had hanging out with the family. Thank you for sharing your good fortune with all of us. You are truly one of a kind and we are lucky to have you in our lives. Huh? I messaged her back and I said, thank you. I'm glad we got to do it now. We need to start thinking, what's next. Her dream's been accomplished. She's 74. We all need to have new dreams, bigger dreams, future dreams to keep our feet moving. Thank God she's healthy. Thank God everything's good everywhere, all around. But we have a superpower and an awareness that most people don't have. I'm no better than anybody, but awareness is so powerful. I get a little choked up with it because I spent 26 years of my life getting to this point in my life. I should have done this many years ago. I just was all about building the business and growing and exchanging and evolving and developing and all that, right? We all get caught up in some of this stuff. I have done a lot of cool treats and gifts and dreams for my parents and other people, you know, giving cars away, help them buy a house, Buy the house for like a bunch of cool stuff. But seven days of memories. It's cool. Like in front of our house, it's, it's a turtle season there and we had a little nest in front of our house out on the beach. You walk out the dock and the turtles hatched. It was literally pouring down rain. Dina, her mom and her sister were out there about 6:30, 7:00 clock in the morning taking a beach walk and it's pouring down rain. And I see Diane running in the house, drenched, literally. And I'm like, oh, she's coming in. And she comes in screaming. The turtles are let come. They're, they're, they're hatched. They're hatching. So everyone runs out. My son Joe, her son, our kids, his two boys, our wives, etc, right, that are not out there. And David and the guys are chasing off the pigeons and the birds trying to eat the turtles. The baby Turtles are like 2 inches, 3 inches big, right? And the birds will eat those things like crazy. So our job was, I mean there's hundreds by the way. 300, let's say 300 babies. I mean there's so many, I don't know how many, but there's hundreds. And we're chasing birds around. If you didn't know what we were doing, you think we're absolutely on something. Kids are screaming and running, adults are screaming and running, yelling at birds, clapping our hands. And my mother in law said that was one of the best. She's never seen anything like it. She didn't even know that was a thing. That was one of her greatest memories. She didn't even know that was a thing that could happen. And yet that's one of the biggest things that stood out for her. She's had friends that lived there their whole life and they've never seen this experience. But the truth is that experience would have never been seen if we didn't take the first step asking what the dream was. We don't have to have it all figured out. This was a December, this is eight months later. I was joking with her because I've never planned something this far in advance. We were buying tickets eight months in advance. Way I buy plane tickets, one I booked through a broker because I fly private now, but when I used to fly commercial, I'm booking The day of or the night before. That's just how I flew. They're like, oh my God, eight months. They're prepared, they're planning it out there. See, they have like daily clothes lined up and all that. I'm more of a just go and let things happen kind of guy. But how cool is it that we have the power to help other people that we care greatly about live their dreams? I could go buy another car. It's whatever. I cannot buy back those seven days ever. You know, everyone says time is money. When time is gone, it's gone. When money's gone, I can make more. Can't get it back. But it was seven days sitting there talking. We're sitting at dinner, you know, after dinner, we're sitting in the table, all of us are sitting, the kids are playing, acting like maniacs and all of us adults are sitting there. And you know, Dina's brother and sister in law, they're a little bit more conservative financially. They have financial means, they just, they've been built through financial, like the way her parents were raised. Again, I'm just sharing real data, you know, with the stuff we talked about. Like they're great people, but they're broke millionaires. They live way below their means, which is nothing wrong with that. But they also, they act broke, right on certain things in life they're missing. The whole purpose of making money is to live life. They're responsible. There's nothing wrong with that. I'm not saying live above your means, but also don't miss out on amazing things that we can do today thinking that we might be able to do them 30 years from now. One, 30 years may never come around for us. Two, will we physically be in shape to do anything 30 years from now? Who knows? There's a lot of variables. Truth is, as I'm speaking to you, real time stuff I'm sharing with you. My sister's in the hospital. Emergency surgery two days ago. She had her pretty much her entire stomach and gallbladder taken out. My sister's 40, I'm 44. She's 42. And then she started internal bleeding. It's a massive issue. It's. It's a deadly issue. She's been in surgery for two and a half hours as I'm talking to you. She's still in today. Could be her last day, heavens forbid. But it's real, it's true. What has she been putting off? What has she been saving for, what has she been preserving for or whatever? Like we all do this by the way. But one thing I've realized in life, December 31, 2005, it truly was the last vacation I ever really took. Why is that, Mark? Well, December 31, 2005, I left Columbus, Ohio for a month. My first real vacation. And that's like I've shared the story in the past. 10-8-05, my grandmother passed away in a two week time frame of stage four cancer. Went in routine checkup. Stage four cancer, boom, you're gone. She got told the news. She aged rapidly, changed my perspective of life. I was 27 years old. I loved working 16, 18 hours. I actually work on my sleeve with pride. Like I work 16, 18 hours a day. I'll miss everything to make an extra dollar, build the business, go bigger. My girlfriend now my wife Dina, said let's leave and go somewhere for a month. Because I was little, I was frazzled. My grandmother was the rock of the family. She died. We always joke that she's never going to die. We realized at that moment how fragile life is. I always started thinking how to live while I'm alive. See, they only say we live once. Truth is we live every day until we don't. We only die once. That's the truth. But how many people are actually living? I'm talking really consciously living on purpose, not just going through the motions to do it. And again, working and creating companies is a process. There's many ways to accomplish what you're trying to accomplish out there. If it's just a financial number, if it's just, you know, build a big company. We all hear me on this. We all have a different investor slash business DNA. I have a buddy that has a five and a half billion dollar company. He goes to the office seven days a week. He's there before everyone, he leads after everyone. He brags about it, he talks about it. He doesn't go to family vacations. He does not go on any like again, this is his DNA. I'm not judging it. It's what he wants. He's very conscious of his actions. He's very aware of what he's doing. He is living his life to the level he wants to live. Cool. My DNA is a little bit different. I look to create assets that support me instead of me support the asset. So what I'm saying is I create businesses that I own instead of the business owning me. I'm not saying inside of this daily day to day, it's all rainbows and unicorns. There's a lot of shit you got to take. But trust me, on this you can build and create an amazing life and create companies without you being tied to a desk, without you being tied to a location. I know because I've done it. In December 31st, 2005, I, I was on the road for seven years across the country and across the world. I've written multiple books, I've ran multiple companies, I bought multiple companies, I sold multiple companies, I grew multiple companies in those seven years I've shut some companies down in those seven years. I went virtual a hundred percent. 12-31-2005. Before it was cool, before it is even a word. So in essence I designed, I had, I was forced to design my business around my lifestyle. I remember sitting in India, in New Delhi and my wife's like we got this blah blah, like I have all these plans right? I had one hour to work. I'm running multiple multi seven figure companies, some of them eight figures in one hour from New Delhi, India. I think the time difference was 12 or 16. I can't remember. 12. No. Yeah. 8 or 12 hour differences. When we did the whole Southeast Asia, you know, Cambodia, New Delhi, Malaysia, Singapore, all this stuff, right? Hawaii for three months and just all this cool stuff. I started realizing there's a different way if you start seeing it different, you know, I had to put constraints on me because I love to work. Honestly, I love to work, I love to create, I love to help, I love to help people like you. I love to help people that want to help themselves. I don't know all the answers. I still up. I make bad business decisions daily. I, I, I create businesses that should not have been created. I, I buy business I shouldn't buy. I sell business I shouldn't sell. I build companies I want to build and everything in between. So I'm not acting like I know everything. I know a little bit. And I do know for a fact you can make seven figures a year without having a huge company if you have specialized knowledge on certain aspects of the game. Some people are consultants that can do that. Some people are coaches that can do that. Some people are great at email that can do that. Some people are great at affiliate marketing that can do that. I did do a show recently to show every single listener that listens to my voice of how to make seven figures a year over the next two years very easily. No guarantee, but I don't know how else to do it any easier. I share that on a show, you should listen to it. I think it's the last one or two shows I did, but back to this show today, when I'm sitting there, David's 83, Diane's 74. Joe's in his mid-40s, Katie's 40, Dina's sister's almost 50. I'm 44, Dina's young 40s. Most people are in there talking about, I can't wait to retire, keep mine. Two people's already retired in that room, David and Diane. I have. Let me just be clear. I have zero desire, zilch. Retire, zero. That's like saying, when I turn 75, I'm going to get a divorce because I'm done being married. If you love being married, why would you be done at a certain age? I love what I do every day, even when it's hard, because I chose it. I'm building, I'm pushing, I'm growing. But people think the ultimate goal is to retire and live happily ever after. My question is retire to do what? Trust me, through my travels for seven years, there's only so many beaches you can drink at all day long before you actually end up being like the housewives or house husbands of Orange County. You get bored, you create drama where drama doesn't exist because you have nothing else going on in your life. You're drinking all day, you're taking selfies because you're so shallow. You think you want to show off to the world and people are busting their ass and you don't. You're not busting your ass, but deep down inside, you know you should be. Reminds me of a guy I got to meet a couple times, a bunch of times, actually. Tony Hsieh. You probably heard of the company called Zappos.com. he wrote a couple great books. You should read them. Delivering Happiness is a great book. He talks about how he sold a company, how he got massively depressed, built another company, I. E. Zappos, and inevitably sold that to Amazon for about a billion dollars. He ended up killing himself. He went through some real stuff. Go online and search it. It's bad. It's terrible. He had hundreds of millions of dollars. Kind of retired as an entrepreneur. And when you do that, you just take your vice or what we love to do and put it into something that's probably not good. That's why I like to say an idle mind to an entrepreneur is a devil's workshop. I'm always working on a lot of projects. The books you guys read that I come out with or listen to on audio is probably only a tenth of the books I've created or want to create or have in process that will probably never see the day of light anytime soon. Podcast Shows I've recorded many podcast shows. I've never sent and produced out to the world. Not because I don't want to, just because I I did it and I just don't feel like it hit at the right time, the right moment, or just something was off. I have company ideas, I have business ideas, I have all these things. Again, ideas are worthless unless executed upon. But I have a lot of projects in motion right now. I probably have about 50, 60 projects, books, courses, mastermind groups, meetings, conferences, speaking engagements, podcast show engagements, etc. And everything in between. By the way, my son's birthday is tomorrow. As I'm recording this, he'll be 7 years old August 19th. I'm excited to hang out with him all day and do absolutely whatever he wants. Eat ice cream all day, pick his nose. I don't care what he wants to do, we're going to do it time. This might be my last birthday I get to spend with him. You never know. But I do know this. I will give it my all every day. I'll be conscious. The ultimate to me is building a business that you love and you're passionate about. It's not always easy around your dream lifestyle so you can work whenever you want to make lots of money and make an impact in doing what you really care about. This is all done in phases by the way. Like I said, I have a three year old and I'm soon to be seven year old. Tomorrow my life is going to look a little bit different. My schedule is going to look a lot different when the kids get 18, 19, 20 years old. Right? It's a different chapter. So what I mean by this is don't judge where I'm at and where you're at and try to compare. There's the only thing person I'm trying to compare is that guy in the mirror looking back at me. I know where I started, I know where I'm at and I know where I'm going. But I got to do it inside of my constraints that I've created certain non negotiables. So when you see me in like South Carolina, Utah, Idaho, Cordelane, Paris, France, you know, Italy for months or Hawaii for months, or anywhere for that matter, sitting at the park. Understand this is not me on vacation. This is my life. I'm working on the business each day. No on the business each day. I can get emails, text, and take calls from this beautiful thing. You're probably listening to my voice in the cell phone, the ie, the handheld computer really is what it is. It's funny, I was sitting there talking to, I was talking with Dina's sister in law. Well, my sister in law too, I guess, right. And she said, mark, do you ever take off work? The old me would answer, why, right? The truth is the real answer, the real question back is define work. Because her perspective of work is her going to a 40 to 50, 60 hour day a week, excuse me, a week job, doing something she, she likes but doesn't care about as much as I care about what I do. Maybe I need to understand what her definition is. And then I get on the other side of the coin. You know, it's funny to me, right? Like if I work at all, some people ask me, mark, do you ever work? And then other people say, do you ever stop working? You know what the truth is? It's both. That's the game I'm in life. That's like me asking you, do you ever stop living life? Do you ever stop doing life? What is life to you? For me, it's a progression of growth. To me is being present when I need to be present with my family. To me, it's when I'm focusing on building the company. I'm focused on building the company for me as I'm shooting this podcast show. When I'm done with this, it's 10:38am I'm going at 11:30 with my wife and sitting at a park with no phones, nothing for an hour and a half and having a park lunch with her. Sitting at the park, a basket lunch, whatever, right? Connecting with my wife on a Thursday midday, I'm still working. I've built the companies to work. When I get back, I'll see what's going on, email, see what's going on, text. But this is the life I've built. This is the life I want. This is the life I've created. Where I come from, small town Ohio, this is not a life that even I thought existed. Again, if you didn't work 12 hours a day, you were lazy. Actually, people brag about working 16 hours a day. I told you, I did. I bragged. Working 16 hours a day until I 27 years old. Then I realized it's not about work. By the way, working is very relative. I know people that work really hard, that never get done. Then I know people barely look like they're working that accomplish a lot. Just because you're working doesn't mean you're efficiently working or effectively working. I Mean shit. We have every gadget, every time management piece under the moon. And yet people are still inefficient, ineffective, don't have time management, lazy, complacent, not doing what they need to do, not accomplishing what they set out to accomplish. Have you ever thought maybe it's not the thing, it's the you. When's the last time you re engineered what you want your life to look like and what you want your businesses to do for you? All of us waked up. I know I woke up every day like, what can I do for the company to grow it today? How many calls do I need to make today? Who do I need to hire to make the business grow today? There's always me, me, me, grow, me grow. As opposed to asking different questions, different questions create different solutions, answers. I do know if you stick long enough with me on this journey of life. I talk about this stuff in my private mastermind group, the Dealmaker Alliance. If you're not a member of the Dealmaker Alliance Group, it's a thousand dollar enrollment fee and a thousand dollars a month. That's it. We meet every Wednesday. We have a private membership group, a private Facebook group. We meet twice a year in person. We just started it in March of this year. There's, oh, there's about a hundred people in there right now. It's absolutely epic. Lives are being changed every day in that group. Not just the people's group in the group, but the people that they're connected with. Lives are being changed. Businesses are getting bigger. More time's being spent with their family. People are getting in better shape than they've ever been in their life. It's all encumbrance. If that's something you've ever wanted to do, you could always shoot me a private message on Instagram or Facebook and just say, send me info on Dealmaker alliance and I'll hook you up with some information. I'm not here to throw that down your throat. I'm just saying that's the place where entrepreneurs go to grow. It's something I love to do to help people want to help themselves. That's why I'm here on the show. That's why I tell you real shit. So I want to see you grow. You making more money, you growing a bigger company. You making, having, creating dreams happen for your life and your family does not take away from what I'm up to. The truth is it enhances. Truth is you inspire me. Truth is when I hear the stories like, dude, you ain't going to believe I just hit six figures this week, man. I'm taking my spouse on a two week vacation to Switzerland and blah, blah, blah, blah. That shit is why I wake up every day. When you really understand why you've been put on planet Earth and why you're here and what you're up to, the universe will open up to you. But until you invest in yourself mentally, emotionally, financially, physically, you're fighting an uphill battle. You're going to constantly be reverting. It's not really that hard. We make it so much harder on ourself than it really is. Whatever problem you have today could be solved by someone in a right, in the right room. Power of association, power of connections compounding relationships. I can tell you I've been in this game over 26 years as a real entrepreneur. The last three years have been really interesting, very powerful, have had some massive wins, took some pretty big losses, get punched in the face, kicked in the nuts. But I'll never quit because the purpose, the vision, the dreams are too big to ever quit. So like I said, if you think I never work or you think I work too much, the truth is I do both. Depends on what work means to you. Depends on what your goals are. Depends on how big or how small you're thinking. I remember one time I was heading to Hawaii and my cousin was married to this girl and she's like, oh my God, are you taking your computer with you? And I said, huh. Keep in mind, she hated her job. Her kids didn't even know who she was because she worked like literally 90 hours a week traveling all the time. And she's judging me. Keep in mind, I've been on the road now six and a half years. When she asked that with my wife on vacation mode pretty much the whole time growing companies from afar and she's asking me and judging me about taking my computer, not even having a clue of what I'm up to. Pretty interesting how that works. So in the future when people ask you certain questions, ask them to understand so you can identify what they're really asking. Because I was a little bit, a little bit more gritty back then on the response. But I'm like now, like I said, what does work mean to you? I want to know where you're at before I even answer the question because I might be answering the wrong question. What was cool was sitting at that table in Carolinas talking to Joe, Katie, Nicole, David, Diane and all that. I'm talking about growth. This is my life right by the way and your life. I'm guessing as well, if you don't drive this conversation in this narrative. What else are you talking about? I. I don't have time to talk about nothing. I don't give a. About an actress getting in a car wreck. I don't give two shits. Truthfully. I'm not like they're. Oh, my God. You hear so and so. I don't care. I don't say that out loud. But, like, I just go to a different room. I detract from the situation. That does not serve me. There's nothing in that conversation that will do anything in my life. But one thing they did say, and I talked when Katie was talking about, like, how she grew up financially, how her father and you know, they have real financial ptsd, as we all have a form of financial ptsd. I said they're broke millionaires. They scrape by, but they have a lot of money in the bank and a lot of money in savings. They're. They're fine, but they'll never really get to live because until you educate yourself and understand where you're at. So I gave them three book recommendations. I'll give them to you. Die with Zero. Die with Zero. Great book. Die with Zeros by Bill Perkins. What Would the Rockefellers do by Garrett Gunderson. Another book by Garrett Gunderson, Killing Sacred Cows. All three of those books are books you should read immediately. I can tell you, you and I, 100% without a shadow of a doubt, we are going to die. The question is, are you going to die and fulfill your dreams and other people's dreams around you? The truth is, my dreams get fulfilled by fulfilling people's dreams I care about. I read something interesting recently and I want to share this. And then I'll leave with this. You ready? A recent study of the top five regrets hospitalized. I saw Kyle post this on Social recently. The regrets and having extreme mental clarity in the. In the last 12 weeks of their life. Number one. I wish I had the courage to live a life true to myself and not the life of others expected of me. Oh. Two, I wish I hadn't worked so hard. Every single male patient regrets. Feelings of missing children's youth and partners, companionship. Ouch. Three, I wish I had the courage to express my feelings. Oh. Four, I wish I stayed in touch with my close friends. Five, I wish I let myself be happier and realized happiness was a choice. Earlier on, my friend, it's a choice. You get to determine what the choice is. If this show made any sense or any impact.
