In this YouTube video, the speaker warns that Airbnb’s upcoming AI‑driven search will no longer rely on listing titles, descriptions, or photos, but will instead rank properties based on the backend amenity data that hosts tick in the extranet. He cites Jeff Brown of IntelliHost, who tested the new system and demonstrated that unchecked amenity boxes (e.g., hot tub, dog‑friendly) prevent listings from appearing even if the description mentions them. The core advice is two‑fold: (1) go into the Airbnb extranet and ensure every relevant amenity checkbox is selected for the features you want to be searchable, and (2) diversify by using a free “101 tactics and tips” guide for direct bookings, a strategy that has generated over $1 billion for 2,000+ hosts. The video ends with a call‑to‑action to comment “rocket” to receive the guide, emphasizing that while platform algorithms will keep changing, hosts can control their visibility by managing backend data and building direct‑booking channels.

The way that you rank on Airbnb is about to change. If you don't know who Jeff Brown is, go and follow him on LinkedIn. Fantastic guy to know in the industry. He's got a company called IntelliHost. They have got so much data that they train their models on. And yesterday he went and did a test on the new Airbnb AI search. Just to bump your memory, this is what the Airbnb search looks like at the moment. So you put in a date, you put in the location, you put in how many people it's for, maybe a couple of other filters, and then you hit search, and then up comes the map. But in the new version of Airbnb, as you can see here, you type in what you want. So Jeff's example was quiet cabin with a hot tub, lake view, near Gatlinburg over in America for 6. Dog-friendly place to work from. Now, if you read the bit below me here, what it's basically doing is it's not reading the descriptions, it's not reading your title, it's not really even looking at the pictures. What it's doing is it's looking behind the scenes. So for example, if in your description you say we've got a hot tub, but in your amenities behind the scene, that little checkbox, if you've not ticked it, it will not come up. So the takeaway is that for the new AI search, for the way that you are going to rank and be seen on this platform in the next couple of weeks and the next couple of months going into 2027, is you have to make sure you go into the extranet, go into the backend, make sure that every single one of those boxes is ticked for who you want to be seen to. If you go on the back end of Airbnb now, you will see so many new features and so many little tick boxes. This is because the agents will be going off that. It doesn't care about context. It doesn't care about fluffy words. It doesn't care about what's in your title. It literally cares what it can read, and it is as simple as a tick box exercise. Now obviously you want to build a business that is on your own land where you're not having to panic about algorithms and all these changes all the time. So So what I want for you to do is I'm going to send you 101 tactics and tips that I have learned for direct bookings. It's generated over $1 billion over the last 10 years for over 2,000 people. And right now you can get it absolutely free by just commenting the word rocket below. Listen, Airbnb, all of these channels, they're changing. They're charging more money. They're changing their algorithms. You can't do anything about it. But what you can do is you can control on what you do next.
