Mark Simpson talks about Airbnb's shift to showing total nightly prices with cleaning fees included instead of listing them separately. Hosts were notified of the change, which affects how properties appear to renters and how pricing is displayed across the platform.
The thing that's really interesting to me is not so much this update. The the interesting thing is what was announced a couple of days ago with the pricing. Now, how is that, I mean, did you get heads up that that was happening? How has it affected your properties? What's been like the sort of general word on the Airbnb street about the pricing and what the changes have been?
What you're talking about, just to be clear, is the display pricing and showing the cleaning fee and the nightly rent booked in as one.
That's correct.
