Boostly Agent Buildathon: Build AI Agents That Work While You Sleep

Mark Simpson shows hospitality owners how to build AI agents that automate business tasks using a four-level framework: custom instructions, NotebookLM, Lovable.dev, and scheduled agents. One community member made $35,000 in revenue after two months of $2,000 in API costs.

YouTube, Twitter, I think, definitely LinkedIn and in Crowdcast as well. So we are doing most of the discussions and most of the chats in Crowdcast. So if you're with me in Crowdcast and we've got a lot of you that are, just say hi. If you are wondering if you can see us, if you can hear us, then you can see us and you can hear us. If it's currently mute, then all you need to do is hit the unmute button. Shane, I can see you saying no audio. Hit the unmute button, Shane. That's what I'm typing. So if you want to join me on these things, it's over in the Crowdcast. If you are watching live, the reason why I'm streaming this live is that you can watch on the replay. I've already had people message me saying, hey, I need to catch the replay. You can do it. It's on Facebook. It's on YouTube. And it's going to be here. Now, why am I doing this? Well, last week, this time last week, I was in London. This time last week, I was speaking at the Short Stay Summit. And this time last week, I did this talk and presentation. Since then, I've had a lot of people ask me for the replay, or for the slides, or for the notes. And I thought, you know what, let's just go ahead and do it. And here we are doing it. The goal of this evening is to walk you through how I have built AI agents in my business, how people I've interviewed on the Boostly podcast have built their own AI agents, how members of the Boostly community have built their own AI agents, and now how the Boostly staff members are also building their agents, which is awesome. I'm going to walk you through step by step. I'm going to show you everything. And if we get a chance, we're even going to build some things live on this call. The reason why I'm doing this is first and foremost, there is a lot of people out there that are charging for this. And I've said this on stage and I've said this to a few people, I think they're scumbags if they're doing that because everything is so simple to do. And so I want to walk you through this so that you can see how easy it is and how you can replicate this. Um, also as well, I've been talking for a long time now, 10 years, I've been teaching and showing people how to do things. And I think this is probably going to be one of my most impactful talks, which is great, because, you know, I love talking about direct bookings, direct bookings for the win. But if I can show you this, I think I'm going to set you up to where you can smash not only direct bookings, but build multiple revenue streams for your business, which is epic. Now, if you're in the Crowdcast room with me, and we've got quite a lot that are, you get a little peek behind the scenes. Which is cool. So on the right-hand side, you've got a couple of boxes. You've got the chat, which is— Laura's in there, Catherine's in there, Paula's in there, Linda's in there, Danny's in there, Jacqueline's in there. Great. Underneath it, you've got a Q&A box, which you can add questions in there. Thirdly, you've got a poll box. Now in the poll, you should be able to give me a quick yes or no. And the question is, Who has created an AI agent? Now, if you're watching on Facebook, if you're watching on YouTube, if you're watching on wherever, you can't vote. This is only for the people in the Crowdcast. And if you would like to be in the Crowdcast room in a future video, in a future live session, then send me a message if you're not there already. So everybody that's in the Crowdcast, do me a favor. Can you go and can you, can you try and vote in that poll if you can? So literally look at your right, you've got the chat, the Q&A, and there's a poll. Go and click on that poll box. Let me know if you can see it or if you can't see it, because I'd love to know if you can or if you can't see it and definitely go and vote. All right. This talk will last about 45 minutes. I'm very aware that in the United Kingdom it's 9 o'clock at night. 20 minutes ago I was in the car. I was driving back from football training. We were late getting back. In the UK, it's 9 o'clock. In America, on the Eastern time, it's obviously 4 o'clock. Australia, I haven't got a clue what time it is for you, but I know it's early the next day. So this will last no more than 45 minutes to an hour. My goal is to turn this into a little mini series where today I'm going to show you this, and then the next time I've got a cool idea on what I want to do, but let's just see how this lays first. So let me make sure that I can click on this and I can go down. How does this work? Click this. All right, cool. So today, ladies and gents, we are going to show you, uh, how SDR hosts are building AI teams that work while you sleep, how you can save hours, cut software costs, and build simple systems without needing to code. Next slide. And just for a bit of context on Crowdcast, if things cut out, if things slow down, you can hit Restream and come back in. If this is sounding like it's on mute, there's literally an unmute button. If you're struggling with the sound, just click the unmute button. Click. Thank you, Helgi. I'm going to need you. I'm going to need you for this. All right. So warning. What I'm about to show you will give you an unfair advantage and put you ahead of 99% of the competition. This is not another talk about prompts. This is not another talk about chatbots. And this is not another talk about theory. This is about building real systems and tools that save time, make money, and give you leverage. Shane, I'm going to tell you one more time. There you go. He's in. He's in. Shane's in. Hi, Shane. Now also as well, a little warning, a lot of people in the industry, a lot of people in business do not want me to tell you and show you how simple this can be. Because there's a lot of people right now that are worrying about their current business model. But I'm going to lay it all out, right, full context. If you look at what I do, website design, you may be thinking, Mark, are you one of them? Maybe, but I'm going to share with you the secrets. And I'm going to give you the secret sauce, I'm gonna let you to make the decision. All right, let's go with next one. This is, uh, really important. Everything that I'm going to show you today, I guarantee there's going to be somebody at home watching this who's going to go, but it's all right for you, Mark, you're an expert at this. I am not an expert, right? I've never coded, I never finished school, uh, I'm not university literate. I'm just somebody that is very inquisitive, and truthfully, I'm only a few weeks ahead of you. So remember that with everything that I've got to show you. I am literally a farmer boy from the middle of the North Yorkshire Moors, grew up on a farm, played soccer my whole life, but just somebody just got very inquisitive and wanted to learn. And to prove it, this is me. I'm not on the sheep, I'm to the left. That's my brother Gary on the sheep. That's my dad John on the right. I'm the one with those really funky shorts on and the white t-shirt. And this was taken in 1991. My mum sent me this. She found it on the farm. She was like digging out old pictures and stuff. So this is just to prove it. I'm not lying when I say I am an idiot. Right. So here's a little exercise, a nice little exercise that I want for you all to do. And please humor me with this because this will make sense as we go. So my goal, my question is this. What are your goals for the next year? And Doug, I know I got the warning from Crowdcast just as I was going live. This is why this is one that we'll do again and again and again. What are your goals for the year? Write them down, put them in the chat. All right, so when you write down your business goals, right, whatever your business goals may be, okay, I want for you to write it down. Now, whether you hit those goals or you don't hit those goals, I want for you to remember it is your fault. Right? So wherever you currently are now, right, if you are over-reliant on Airbnb, if you are not where you want to be in your business goals, if you are where you are in your business goals, if you're smashing direct bookings, If you're— whatever you're doing, just remember, it is your fault. Right? So if you are not where you want to be, it is your fault. And for years, for years, the reasons why people aren't where they want to be normally falls down on these three things. It's either time, money, or knowledge. So it's, listen, I would love to do it. I would love to do all these things. But I haven't got the time. I haven't got enough time in the day. You know, I'm a small business owner. I'm doing all of the things. I'm changing the beds. I'm speaking to the staff. I'm speaking to the guests. I haven't got time to learn how to do these things. Or it's money. I know what I want to do. I've got a lot of time to do it. I know exactly where I need to be to hit my goals, but I haven't got the money to be able to invest into building that app, creating that tool, doing the thing. Or it's knowledge, right? I would love to be able to do it. I've got the money, I've got the time, I just haven't got the knowledge. I have— I don't know what to do. I can't create that. I can't do that thing. I can't do email marketing. I can't do the direct bookings. I can't go and do X, Y, or Z. Right? So these have always been the reasons. And listen, I get it. Everybody who's watching this will be in hospitality in some way, shape, or form. You're busy running the properties, you're solving guest issues, and you're wearing 6 hats already. After today's talk, and this is the exciting thing, the only thing that's going to prevent you from achieving your goals is your imagination. That's literally it. And this is a really exciting thing for me and where we are in 2026. I've literally wrote that twice. All right, so let's go on to the next one. Again, I get a lot of people say to me, uh, I'm just getting a bit overwhelmed. There's a lot of things going on. I'm already behind. AI, AI, AI. Every single conference you go to, it's all about AI. Every single podcast you listen to, it's AI. Every single social media post you see, it's AI. And you always feel like you're already behind, right? I want to throw the question up to you, to everybody. Do you feel like you're behind when it comes to AI? Just leave me a yes or no in the chat. I realized I've got crap on my bloody t-shirt as I'm watching this. Now, here's a cool stat. Only 0.05% of the world's population currently pay for an AI tool. So if you're one of the very few people that are paying just $20 a month, you've already moved into the top 99.5% in the world. And so you are ahead of your competition. So let's sink that in for a second. Right? Let me ask you, give me a quick yes or no. Are you currently paying $20 a month or $15 a month or $18 a month for some form of AI? This is where I think 99% of you are currently at. And this is where I want you to be in that top 1%. So 99% of you are currently using AI like ping pong, like table tennis. So what is table tennis? You hit, you get back, you hit, you get back. So you ask a question, it answers, you ask again, it answers. Well, you're always doing the work. What we're gonna move to with agent is golf. So context, I don't play golf. I don't particularly like golf. I think it spoils a good walk. But if you look at what golf is, You're at the starting bit, you've got the hole over there, the job is to get it in the hole, and then you've got to plan how to get there. You've got to plan to work through the swings, you've got to plan to get through the steps, you've got to plan on which club to use, and eventually you've got to get it in the hole. That is how an agent works. So that's the difference between chap and agent. Always remember, ping pong, and golf. So ChatGPT is your fast first draft machine. AgentGPT is your always-on employee. What I'm gonna show you today is called the Jack-in framework. What you will notice with me is that I love movies. Alright, I love Liverpool Football Club. And I love movies. One of my favorite movies of all time is The Matrix. 1999 it came out. I bought it on a dodgy DVD from somebody in my school, and I've watched it, and I've probably watched that movie more than any other. Maybe second place is Fight Club with Brad Pitt, and third place is Wedding Crashers. Love movies, and I love this movie. And I think where we currently are now is as close to The Matrix as we're probably going to get for a long time. But we're going to teach you today the Jack-in theory. So if you remember The Matrix, when they check in, they get that thing in the back of the head, they're jacked into the Matrix. And this is what I'm going to show you. I'm going to show you through the 4 levels of the Matrix, and hopefully if Crowdcast behaves itself and the internet behaves itself, I can show you some examples as well. And again, if for whatever reason you have to duck out You can come back in at any point in any time. And I'm going to give you a couple of things, QR codes, some links, etc., to where you can find out more as well and just keep on learning and keep on doing all these cool things. Right. Level 1. You need to build the foundations. So before AI can work for you, It needs to know who you are. Most people skip this. That's why they get average results. So I know people who like the idea of this. Maybe you've heard me talk on stage. Maybe you keep, keep seeing, seeing all of these things, and you just go all in. And without putting the right foundations in place, it's where a lot of you go wrong. Those of you that have hired a VA, you wouldn't just hire a virtual assistant and give them zero training. So you don't do it with AI either. Now listen, uh, I know Crowdcast is being a bugger. I know it's buffering. I know it's glitching. Well, let's just get through it. All right, I'm not stopping now. I'm going to commit to seeing this through. And if you want to do more, I'll give you a link and we can do more later. So level 1 is building the foundations. All right, so the first thing I'm going to teach you is custom instructions. So this is where you write it once and then every time that you come onto your AI of choice, let's just call it Claude, it will know the rules. So what goes into a custom instruction? Well, you've got to tell your AI of choice, your Claude, your ChatGPT, whatever you want it to do, who you are, what you do, how you sound, what you never do. And your output formats. So for example, who you are, name, business, portfolio size, location, what you do, guest comms, listings, SOPs, pricing, whatever, how you sound. So your voice, not default, not a robot. What you never do, no late checkouts, no refunds, no flag edge cases. And the output format that you like, do you want it to be in paragraphs? Do you want it to be bullet points? Do you want it to be plain English? Whatever you want it to be. That's what your experience with ChatGPT is, with Claude or ChatGPT. And this is important: no two same AI journeys will be the same. No two different AI journeys will be the same. So Ian's AI journey will be different to Jacqueline, will be different to Shane, will be different to Danny, will be different to Paula's. Okay, now to make life easy for you all, I've gone ahead and written down my custom instructions that I have given to my AI. Now, if you scan that QR code, or if you simply go to boostly.co.uk/custom, it will take you to this Google Doc. And this is the exact custom instruction that I put into my AI of choice. So all that I did is I copied this. I would come into Claude, all right, and all that you do with Claude is you come down to here, you click on Settings, General, and you would put it in here. Okay, so Settings, General, paste it in here. Now every time that I come into Claude, it already knows about me, so I don't have to keep explaining to myself every time. Now, if you're going to do this on ChatGPT, for example, you would come into ChatGPT, hit that, hit your settings, and you would go to personalization, and you put it in here. So again, same, same, just different. Now, give me a yes or no Have you already done your custom instructions? And I can see a few of you are now coming into the Google Doc, which is great. And again, if you go to boostly.co.uk/custom— oops, I've not put the right link on— if you scan that QR code, you can go and see mine. What's really important, don't just take mine and put it into yours. Because like I said, everybody's is different. Everybody's experience is different. It's like being a parent. Everybody's parenting experience is different. Every single kid is different. I know so because I've got 4 of the buggers. Yes, Shane, absolutely. If you've seen me talk about it before, then that's what it means. That's level 1, right? This is level 2. Level 2 is NotebookLM. Now, I'm a massive fan of this tool. It's a free tool from Google. And yes, guest house Alipsey, it's the same as Perplexity. It's the same as Manus. It's the same as Groq. It's the same as Deepseek, whatever you use. So NotebookLM is one of my favorite tools. As you can see, I'm a little bit addicted, right? These are all the notebooks that I have created. And like I said, it's a Google product, and I'm going to show you how easy it is to, to use it. But what NotebookLM is, is it's a Google AI-powered notebook that turns any source, whether it's a video, a transcript, a PDF, anything, into something that you can actually use. And I'm going to show you how simple it is to do. Before that though, Here's some examples. So you can turn YouTube videos into content. You can ask it questions like a search engine. You can drop in a ton of data and get a presentation on it. And you can build an AI podcast from any source. So let me go and give you an example. So all you gotta do, it's called notebooklm.google.com. First and foremost. I'm going to come in, I'm going to click Create New Notebook. All right, it loads up here. Now I have got an example because earlier on I listened to this podcast. This is a podcast that I listened to and this is the transcription and it was one of my favourite writers which is called Naval Ravikant. He was talking about vibe coding. In 2026. This blog post was literally done yesterday. Now, I quite like this, but I wanted to put it into my words and I wanted to be able to turn it into content for myself. So all you do is you come in, copy it, copy, see, copy all the text, come back into Notebook, come in here, click paste, and click insert. That's all I've done. Yes, if you are struggling with the glitches, the replay will be available. It's literally streaming right now on the Boostly YouTube channel. So if you come into the Boostly YouTube channel, Crowdcast, you've got me, but you can come on to here anytime, click on that one, and you can watch the replay if you like, or you can stick with me and we'll fight it out together. Now I've pasted that in. Okay. Super simple. Uh, all I'm going to do now is tap the audio button, the slide deck button, and the infographic button. I could even hit the video button. All right, we're going to come back to this in a few minutes, and I'm going to show you the end result, which is pretty cool. So that is Notebook, NotebookLM. We're going to come back to this. We've got Level 1, got Level 2. We're now going to level up. So let's get a little lay of the land. Let's see how the room is. We've got 50 people that are trying to tune in with all the buffering, but who has tried Level 1 and who has tried Level 2? Just give me a yes or no in the chat. And if you're watching in on, um, if you're watching on the YouTube, I know we've got a lot of people tuning in on YouTube, let us know. Comment, yes, I've done that. Have you done Level 1 and have you done Level 2? We have got a lot of people tuning in on the line as well. So now we're going to level up. I think level 1 and level 2 is child's play. If you've done it, you know it. But let's, let's go ahead and level this up. So level 3 is Lovable. Lovable.dev. This is where you can build any app or any website in minutes with a single prompt. So again, I'm pretty addicted to this tool. I come on and pretty build an app or website at the present moment in time. As you can see from the projects, I've got lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots in here. But what is Lovable? Well, Lovable, and I do like saying that word, means that you can vibe code anything in minutes. Doesn't matter what skill set you have got, you just need your imagination. It's very cost-effective. I think, you know, it's less than $10, $20 a month, but you can literally build some amazing things. Here's some examples of what I've built over the course of the last few weeks. I've built a budget tool. So the budget tool, and I'll show you right now where it is, is in here, and it is This one. So you can— oh no, the budget tool is my one. So the budget tool, that's one I built for me, but this is the one that I literally built as well. Um, so for example, it's called the free STR market estimate in seconds. See estimated annual revenue, ADR, and occupancy for your address. Download a professional PDF report. Okay, so literally all you have to do is put in the address of any property that you're looking at maybe acquiring or arbitraging or doing on a management model. You can put all this data in, give it the Vrbo listing, give it the Airbnb listing, and it will generate a report for you, which is pretty cool. Now normally you would pay quite a lot of money for something like this, but I've been able to just literally vibe code it by just asking it questions and just giving it data, as you can see from the left. And we're going to come back to this because I'm going to show you some cool I've built an OTA fee calculator, which I thought was really cool. So let's just go and look at this for a second. So this tool here shows you exactly how much money that you are spending in OTA fees a year. So if you've got one listing, say your average daily rental is $200. Actually, let's go 4 listings, occupancy 70%. OTA bookings, let's just say you're on about 85%. It shows you with simple formulas how much money that you're spending on OTA fees every, every single year, which is really cool. So I can show somebody this who's like looking at working with Boostly. So let's just have an example in the crowd. How many listings have you got? What's your average daily rental? What's your occupancy? What's your level of OTA bookings? Just drop those numbers in and let's see if we can work it out. But this is like some of the cool things that you can do. And every single one of these tools, if I was to tell you that we created them in minutes over a cup of coffee in the morning, what would your reaction be? Now here's what I would like to do, and I'd love to test it on, on this live. I would like somebody to give me an example of what we can build in the chat and I'll attempt to do it live. Give me some ideas. Remember, there's no longer the time excuse, there's no longer the money excuse, there's no longer the knowledge excuse. It's just your imagination. And unlike the other one, I haven't got a Blue Peter 'here's one I built earlier' because I was hoping for somebody to throw an example in the chat. You're not allowed to say a PMS though. I I can't build a PMS. Who's going to go first? You. All right. Well, Kevin, while we're waiting, thank you very much. Let's put in 15 listings. Uh, 15 listings, $175 a night. I like that. Love that. Get out of it. Get out of the way. $175. There we go. Occupancy, what did you say? 80% occupancy and then 90% OTAs. Really? So the money the OTAs take from each year is £106,000. That's £8,911 a month being taken from your profit. Over 5 years, that's half a million. You're, you're paying about 20. Some pretty cool numbers in there. Uh, Linda, 80% OTAs, local listing analyzer. I like that, local listing analyzer. Laura, so let's go and give this a go. A local listing analyzer, how would we give this a wee go then? So let's come into this and we're going to go into our trusty friend ChatGPT. And again, I, uh, we're going to come into this. I'm going to go this. I'm going to go to Prompt Engineer. Now, if you don't know what Prompt Engineer is, it is a free GPT on ChatGPT. This is probably the only reason now why I would use ChatGPT is because of this. And I'm going to voice it in. All right. So, um, I want for you to put together a plan of action on an app that we can build on Lovable for a local listing analyzer. It needs to be able to use data that you can find on Airbnb, AirDNA, VRBO, PriceLabs, etc., to create a local competitor listing analyzer. I want for you to come up with the plan of action. I want for you to research other tools that are out there and come together with a prompt of what we can put into Lovable to one-shot this to make it as epic as possible. So that tool that I used was called Whisper Flow. I don't know if anybody else use Whisper Flow. I love it. I use it a lot. The reason why is that we can speak faster than we type. So that is Whisper Flow AI. I'm sure somebody will put their referral link in the chat whenever I do mention this. Somebody does, and it just— go and use their link. It's a free tool, but if you upgrade, you get some money, right? So I've just put that prompt into ChatGPT. What it's doing now is it's giving me the actual prompt to put into, uh, Lovable to create this tool again. If you look at the time spent, what have I really done here? I've opened up an app and I've brain spouted a few words at 9:30 at night and I can feel my eyes already closing. I haven't tried coding anything. I haven't tried doing some market analysis. I've literally just let AI do it for me. So at the moment it's coming up with a prompt. It's saying you are an expert full-stack engineer, product designer, data scientist. Your task is to design a— build a production-ready SaaS web application called STR Local Listing Analyzer that analyzes short-term rental markets and competitor listings using data inspired by platforms like Airbnb, AirDNA, Vrbo, and PriceLabs. Create a tool that allows a user to input a location plus property details and receive comprehensive competitor analysis of short-term rental listings in that area. So it's done this, boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom. Right, this is the prompt. I'm going to copy it. I'm going to come into lovable.dev and I'm going to hit go. Now it is going off and it is going to build that tool. All right, we're going to come back to it. Now, before we come back to Lovable, let's go and have a wee look at NotebookLM. So don't forget, with Notebook, I had an idea, I pasted it in, and right now it's taken that blog post and it's gone and turned it into slides. Which is pretty cool. Now I could download this as a PDF. I could download this as a— like this, and I can do some pretty cool things. Now also as well, It's created me an infographic. So, Vibe Coding, the Renaissance of the Personal, the Mechanics of Vibe Coding, the Shift in Text Landscape. Now, this is all really cool. I can actually use that as social media content if I wanted to. So if I wanted to download this, I could use it as social media content. Now, a really cool example and use case of this is what somebody explained to me recently. So they were doing a sales call with a potential landlord or homeowner because they wanted to manage their property. They did the call on Zoom and the transcript was saved on Fathom, which is like Zoom's AI note-taker. As soon as the call ended, they copied the transcript, they pasted it into a notebook. And within minutes, the Notebook, NotebookLM had created a slideshow presentation. They copied that and sent it to the prospect. The prospect was blown away at the speed and the professionalism of this, that they were the one who got the contract, which is epic by literally copy, paste, and click. If you've done that. Let me know in the chat. Now what you could do if you wanted to turn that into content, you could come on something like LinkedIn, right? You can, uh, click on Home, right? And I could click on Start a Post, hit More, come over to where it says Add a Document. Choose a file, upload that, and I could create some really cool content. I could look— vibe coding— very, very smart by simply uploading that to LinkedIn. Now, if you're struggling to create content, This is one of the easiest ways to do it. If you're looking to post some more cool stuff online, again, it's simply a case of copy paste, copy paste, copy paste. Now let's have a little look where we at with, uh, with Lovable. So right now it's working. So this is what I mean by golf, right? We have ChatGPT in chat. You ask a question, you get an answer back. With this and Lovable, it's like golf. You've set the goal. This is where we're starting. This is how we get to the end. And it is going to keep on working until it gets the desired result. So right now it's working. Right now it's taking the shots. Right now it's working its way towards the hole. So at the moment it's just editing. It's just building. I'm not going to get in the way. We will come back to that. Now, a quick little check on the room. Those that are still with me, I hope youse are all still with me. How much is your mind being blown at the moment from 1 to 5? Let's say 1, Mark Simpson, this is child's play, to 5, which is wow, I am so excited to get going. Where are you all at the moment? We've got 50 people in the Crowdcast. I think 50 people are still here with me. Give me a 1, 2, 3, or 5. 3, 4, or 5. All right. Now, as we're going further into this, let's go further into this. I think yous are all with me. Level 4. This is your AI agent coworker. This is where AI stops helping with one task at a time and starts running jobs in the background on a schedule. So it logs in at scheduled times, it checks systems, it collects data and reports back. You assign the job, it does the legwork, you review the results. All right, so here's some examples of what people have been doing. They built an OTA calendar checker, they built a weekly competitor tracker, they built daily landlord prospecting. Something that monitors nearby results, checks Rightmove, Zillow, somebody that checks the OTAs for syncs, etc. So this is something that you set up, you set for it as a task that goes on a day-to-day basis, and then it goes and does it for you. So for the first time ever, you can stop doing the task, you can have Agent run the checks and brings you the results. All for $20 a month. All right. That's pretty cool. Now, um, this is how they fit. And again, there's some really cool things that are, that are out there. And this is how they fit this, uh, this ladder. So level 1 is Custom Instructions. Level 2 is NotebookLM. Level 3 is livable, and Level 4 is agents on a schedule. Now, right now you're probably all at Level 1. Level 2 is child's play. Level 3 is where I want everybody to be by the end of this week, and my goal is to get you all to Level 4. So honestly, in the, in the chat, where do you think you are right now? Custom instructions, Level 2, Level 3, Level 4? Let let me know. Level 5. Now this is the matrix, and this is where it gets a little sexy. So this is what I built. So I've got 16 AI agents running across all of Boostly. I have customized this to where now it's running on sales and ops. So in the sales team, we've got people that are doing everything from scoring leads, uh, enriching data, we're doing, uh, outreach, personalized outreach, we're chasing no-shows, uh, we're engaging stalled leads, um, we've got everything going on. And then the ops side, like I say, we've got people that are just looking and just making sure that everything is running smoothly on a, on a day-to-day basis. And, uh, here's what it looks like. So this is my AI team. I obviously used Lovable, and I turned my, uh, AI agents into a very cool cartoon computer-looking style Basecamp. So we're all here, they're all chilling out, they're all having fun, they're all working, um, which is very cool. Now, this was my matrix moment. And remember what I'm about to tell you, I'm only a few weeks ahead of you. So in January and February, I was watching, I was learning, I was absorbing, I was interviewing people on the Boothly podcast, I was seeing what people were doing, and I was just learning. I didn't take action. Then on the 1st of March, I stopped watching and went all in. And this is why this happened. So on the 28th of February, I fired my last human sales development rep. In the last 12 months, I have spent over $50,000 on salespeople, people that were to help me sell Boostly. Every single one of them failed. On the 1st of March, after I said goodbye to my American salesperson, I decided to stop watching and I decided to go all in. And the one rule that I had was this could not become an expensive hobby. It has to generate revenue before the month was out. So everything that I had watched, I put into practice. I loaded everything up, I put it all into AI, and I just said, help me build this. And all that I literally did is if I saw something that I liked on Twitter or Reddit, anything that was in my phone notes, I just copied it and pasted it in and just said, how do I build this? And I just kept asking the question, how do I do this? How do I do this? How do I do this? After this webinar, after this talk today, I'm gonna encourage you to do the same with this talk, the non-buffery version. I want for you to take this, copy it, paste it, and go, how can I do this? And in 7 days, one of the agents that we created, it found a lead that we had spoken to way back in 2024. That same lead had been there for the last year and a half, and that same lead was being passed over time and time again by a human because they thought that it was a dead lead, a ghosted lead, one that shouldn't even be bothered getting in contact with. Now, the one thing I love about AI and artificial intelligence, it has no assumptions. It just saw the data, it went in, And what it did was it sent a hyper-personalized message to said person. They saw it, they booked a call, and they signed up. That was instantly, I feel, as $4,000 or $5,000 revenue right there and then. Fast forward to today, and I've just updated these numbers. I realized I've missed out a 5 because I was editing it earlier. But that number should say not free, I should say $35,000. So $35,000 in revenue that we have been tracking because every single one of these agents has got a tracker code built into it. That's $35,000 that we have generated from our agents going in, finding leads and contacting them. That is way more than those humans ever did last year. So in total, I've spent $2,000. And that's on API costs. That's on tools that I've used, messing around, things that have worked, things that haven't worked over the course of what, March and April, so 2 months. But tracked revenue generated is $35,000, which, you know, return on investment is amazing. So I'm all in. I'm in this matrix. And I know what you're thinking. Well, that's all right, Mark Simpson. That's you. That's Boostly. Boostly is not you know, what I do. Well, I wanted to put this slide in because it's really important. I've interviewed real hosts with real results who have achieved this in weeks, not years. And every single example, they aren't developers, they aren't tech people. These are just other fellow hosts who went in, started building and shipped real tools in weeks. And Laura Muse is part of this. I've not put into the slides yet, but Laura has also created a tool that she's generated a lot of money from, from literally doing the same. Laura, please put the link in the chat when you get a chance. So Jason built his own AI guest messaging tool, which was insane. So he was spending about $600 a year on this tool. He no longer needs it. He's saving $600 a year with an AI messenger tool that he built through AI. Clive built his own operations tool. And this example is great. So he called his agent Big Lou. There was a guest who had a problem. The agent spoke to the guest via email, arranged a handyman to come and fix it, spoke to the guest to find a time that was best for the handyman to come in. And communicated everything on his behalf so Clive didn't have to get in the way. And Hanno built his own Asana, his own Monday.com, from literally having an agent go and scrape all of his inbox to create SOPs and future-proofing, which boosted his 5-star reviews, which was epic. All right. And this example here, Scott, to my right, he created, connected his PMS to Claude. And this tool was awesome because what happened was that he used the Hospitable MCP connection and it scanned all of his past guests. Now, what that tool then did is it sent out a personalized message to all of his guests, and on that personalized message it was promoting any reservations in 2026 that hadn't been fulfilled yet. He sent that out to everybody that had stayed with him in the past, and it resulted in $10,000 worth of bookings. Which is insane. So well done, Scott. Now he was using a free tool, and if you want the exact same free tool, just go ahead and scan that QR code or just go to that link that I've put in the chat. Laura, thank you for doing that. So I want to quickly show you the tool that Laura built. And then I'm going to bring it over to this screen here. So this is the Upsell Queen. A link is in the chat. Uh, you can go ahead and you can do all of the upsells. Follow this. It literally has got a price to it. And Laura's made, I want to say, a couple of grand from just creating this, Vibe coding it, putting it together with her experience. And now it's doing an extra revenue stream from it as well, which is epic. So well done, Laura. And FRB Rentals. I'm going to grab this as well. Okay, this is an interactive session. FRB Rentals has put together a Vibe AI What is it? Sign in to with AI intelligence accounting. Everything FRB and where to help build for SB Rentals. Cool. Daddy cool. I'm not entirely sure what it is, but it looks epic. So again, Laura isn't techie. I'm not techie. I don't know about FRB. FRB might not be techy, but look at what you can build. Now, before we move on, let me just go back and check on our little— whoa, look at this! This is the, uh, the market analysis tool that we put together. So you can do competitor analysis, pricing insights, revenue calendar, uh, and it is literally built all of this, which is pretty cool. And I just did one prompt. Now, this first version may not be very good, but you can just come in here and you can just tap a couple of buttons and do add a PDF export, save analysis, add a map view. I'm literally just tapping buttons here and it's doing it for me. Pretty cool. I think we'll all agree. All right, where are we next? And I did that talk last week in London, and this is literally some of the messages that I got on the back of it. So we've got the amazing Johnny here at the bottom saying that he's now using Claude, Manus, Notebooks, and Lovable. He's having a play. Andy has built an AI agent to answer all day-to-day questions in Claude. He then built a laundry ordering app in Lovable. Something that's been bugging him for ages. So this can be done. Now, the, the final question that I have for all of you is where we at now. Let's see if this plays. I want to bring this as part of my talk. Uh, let me know if you hear the sound. Can you hear the sound? If, uh, you can't hear the sound, that's going to be an awkward minute of me just drinking. But this is where you, ladies and gents, have got the decision to make. There was no fucking sound. I'll make that work on the next time. I'm definitely not doing my next webinar on Crowdcast— they're buggers! But anyway, you've either got the blue pill—that's where you continuing to rent someone else's software and work around their limits—or you've got the red pill where you build your own tools and automate it your way. So where are you? Are you going to take the blue pill or are you gonna dive in on the red pill? Let me know in the chat. All right, but Mark Simpson Where do I get started? So this is a cool question because this is what you can be doing right now. So for the next 7 days, I want for you to track every digital task that you do. Every hour, note it down. And at the end of the week, you'll have a load of tasks in front of you. You can have a do it on your phone, computer, whatever. Then you're going to give it free, one of 3 numbers. Number 1, only you can do that task. That means it's highly important or personal to your role. You keep number 1s. Number 2 is it's important, but gun to head, you could get somebody else to do it. Number 3, I shouldn't be doing this, right? And you will know what those number 3s are. It could be the laundry ordering app. It could be creating your own version of Asana because you've got all of these emails and you haven't got SOPs. It could be the guest messaging tool. Whatever it is, whatever number 3 is, that's where we start. That's the first task that we are going to build with an agent. Right now, what I would like for you to do just for this exercise is write down in the chat what you feel like your number 3 could be. Now, before you get started and go redpilling on me, I've got 6 warnings for you so you don't get burnt. The first warning: it is really addictive. All right, there's no two ways to sugarcoat this. Uh, it's like playing video games but with, with a result. I don't know if anybody was addicted to playing video games, but video games are created to keep you engaged. They don't make it too hard so that you get bin it off, and they don't make it too easy so you get bored. It's always like one step ahead. And this is what vibe coding or vibe prompting or whatever you want to call it feels like in 2026. It is like playing a video game, but you've got instant wins where you can make money like Laura's doing. Number 2, don't go throwing all of your personal and private information into AI, right? Don't go giving it your bank account, don't go giving it your personal email, don't go giving it your cryptocurrency wallets. That's just a recipe for disaster. Just be smart, clever, and put those guardrails up. Go slowly and then go in. Number 3, Always check what your AI is doing. Do not do this blindly. All right. Don't be this guy. Always check. Number 4, do not bury your head in the sand. That's the big warning for you. Don't watch this and go, ah, I'll come at this next year. You have got an unbelievable opportunity. To make all of your goals come true. Because no longer is there an excuse for no time, no money, no knowledge, because literally what I've shown you today eradicates all of it. You can be in the top 99.5% of the whole world by just simply paying for AI for $20 a month. So please don't just bury your head in the sand. And number 5, and I— this is really important, No two AI setups are the same, right? It's just like having kids, right? Loads of people will give you advice on how to be a parent, right? But it doesn't matter because your experience is different from everybody else's. Don't get comparisonitis. Don't, uh, think, see what other people are doing and go, I want to build that. You literally have to bake, create that version that is right for you. All right. So make sure you remember that. And number 6, don't fall for all of the shiny objects that are going to put in your way. You're going to start building maybe on Claude, and then all of a sudden ChatGPT is good. And then you go over to ChatGPT and then Google Gemini does something, or Grok does something, or Manus does something, or Perplexity, or Deepseek, or Meta, or Apple. All right, just get one, stick to one, and get very good at it. Now, I did say about the Q&A box at the start, but there is no Q&A. You know why? Just ask Claude. Just ask your AI, right? Whatever question you've got, AI can answer it. And there's a big reason why I'm doing these talks at the moment. And I'm doing all of this is that I get a lot of questions in my inbox. I'm now getting to a point to say, I will answer that question as long as AI can't. And as soon as I say that, I don't hear back from them again. Right? So whatever questions that you may have, just grab the transcript from this livestream and you can go and get it at any time by coming to the Bruce Lee Boostly YouTube channel, right? You come into— I'm going to show you a different example because this is obviously one that's not live. It's the one I recorded last week. Grab the transcript. It's right here. Click show transcript and you'll see the transcript on the bottom corner. Just click Ctrl+A, right? Come and put this into your AI of choice. And go, uh, read this transcript and then lay out a plan on how I can do this for my business. Right? And what's really important with this is that if you've done the first part right, where you've given it the custom instruction, whatever answer AI gives you is based around the custom instructions and the foundations that you first put in place. And that, ladies and gents, is what I call the Jacking Framework, right? If you would like the notes and the slides from today's session, super simple, come over to Instagram, Boostly UK, or scan that QR code and send me a message with one word and one word only, which is Matrix. And I'll get you the full notes, how I did everything, and so much more if you send me a DM over on Instagram. Just come in here, click message, Boostly UK, type the word Matrix in, and send me that message. And here comes the question that everybody asks. Is this being recorded? 110%. It's being recorded right now. You can come back to this link at any point, at any time in the future, and it will be here. Let's hope it's not as buffery as what you all thought it were. All right, ladies and gents, if you have enjoyed this today, um, I'm going to be coming back in 2 weeks, 11 days, 21 hours, and 36 seconds. I'm going to be running a 3-day boot camp all about this. We're going to run this session again on Monday. On Tuesday, we're going to build, and on Wednesday, we're going to present. So it starts on the Monday, the 11th of May, 6 PM, I think, 5 PM, something like that. I'm gonna do this presentation again, no buffering. On the Tuesday, the 12th of May, We're going to present what we've done. No, we're going to build, sorry. And on Wednesday, we're going to present.
