Mark Simpson credits a book with transforming Boostly's onboarding. Small changes from it boosted customer satisfaction, generated Trustpilot reviews, and increased referrals, though he can't measure the exact savings from fewer refunds.

One of the biggest mistakes I see people make is that they're always looking for that new booking, that new customer, that that new stripe transaction. When the true growth and the true profit is looking after the customers that you currently have. This gives you the framework and again for Boostly. The onboarding process as this book goes to layout was broken in our business before reading this book. Since reading it we implemented those little tweaks into the business and we have found that our customer satisfaction levels have grown massively because of that first interaction. We actually start to get people leaving reviews on our business on trustpilot. At that stage people are actually going out and referring other hosts to Boostly. We can't put a number on how much money saved us in potential refunds but we can definitely put a number down on how many people refer our business or talk about us going back to talk triggers because of these little tweaks that we've made because of this book.
