Excerpt from a YouTube interview about launching a travel/vacation-rental business during the COVID-19 pandemic. The interviewer asks about challenges; the founder explains initial skepticism from others when they launched during COVID, but says they anticipated a rapid recovery and that travel and vacation rentals rebounded strongly—an outcome that benefited their business.
And has there been any challenges? I mean, you guys launched during COVID which is a brave move in itself, but has there been any challenges along the way for your business?
Yes. So when we were, yeah. First starting out, you know, during COVID it's like you would talk to someone about this idea in travel, and, like, they only want to hear travel. It's like, it's like, it's kind of entertaining. It was like a joke, you know, when we're. When we said that we're starting a travel business. But, you know, we knew and a lot of people, we were able, you know, to kind of share the idea that travel is going to recover, you know, fast and vacation rentals are going to move forward. And, you know, it's obviously, obviously there's a huge, huge recovery of travel and vacation rentals in Covid. And for us, you know, that was that was that, you know, that's obviously good, a good thing.
