From over reliance on the OTAs to a direct booking machine #shorts

Hey, I'm Tracey Toulmin and I run a guest house in Colwyn Bay, North Wales. And back in 2019, myself and my husband relied solely on the online travel agents etc to get our bookings. We didn't really know how to do the getting your direct bookings and things. We did our website and all of that and we decided that we needed to do a little bit more. And at the beginning of 2019 I discovered Boostly, the hospitality community, and I was following it a little bit, but still didn't get it, still didn't understand it. Then back in 2020, we just literally did the challenge, one of the giveaway challenges with Mark from Boostly and it was amazing, it was fantastic. We had lots of fun and it gave us an ins of how we can develop things for ourselves. So we joined, or should I say I joined, hubby was in bed and I joined and it's the best thing we did. One of Mark's things is that if you don't get back a return from joining Beesley is that I'll give you your money back. And I would say right now that we have probably doubled, tripled, whatever you want to say what our payment was to join the Boosley Academy. It is amazing. It gives you great tools, you can pick and choose what you need, you don't have to follow everything all at once and you can just work out what is going to work out for you and for your business. We're a guest house, B and B. A lot of people are worried that it's more, could be more catered for self catering businesses, but actually it's a good all rounder and it helps to redirect what it is that you want to do. Cheers.
