Avery Carl operates short-term rentals in high-volume markets where repeat guests matter less, but started testing direct-booking strategies only in the past year. They expect direct bookings to become increasingly important for the industry.
We operate in pretty high volume markets where you don't really have to depend on people coming back. It's been something that we're still currently testing. I think for the short term rental industry as a whole, it's only going to continue to be more important all the time. Take control of your own destiny a little bit more. But for us, we're just now kind of implementing in the past year, with Mark's help, direct bookings into it. I'll have to report back, but it's definitely something that I think is going to continue to be of the utmost importance moving forward.
