In this video I'm going to show you and I'm going to explain to you how to become the go to. So the go to guy, the go to girl. It's the one thing that I attribute the fact that not only has the boost Lee grown to what it has, but also the granary as well, the farm, stay business and everything. I'm going to explain to you is exactly what I did degrinary and at boostly and what it means and what the result will be is that you don't have to be present every single day and in every single Facebook group because you will just have people coming to you, which is nice. So what is the go to? Basically what it means is that with Facebook social media, a big part of being able to get business from social media is Facebook groups. I think we can all agree, especially when you're doing it cold, 2020 is definitely showing that because when dotas are automatically closing off your calendar so nobody can book with you, you've got to go to alternative places to spread the word that you are open and you are available for bookings, not leisure, but maybe key workers or business, etc. Now, those of you that have been doing this, maybe subconsciously for years, you had a massive advantage over everybody else because you had already built this. So the go to is something pretty simple and I liken it to Cheers. So you all remember Cheers, 80s TV show, Ted Danson, etc. Everybody knows his name, okay? That was the whole premise around it. And this is what the go to basically stands for. What you want to get to is that when anybody goes into a Facebook group or asks a question on social media saying, do you have any recommendations of a place to stay in ex. So Cheltenham, Leeds, Manchester, Cyprus, you know, Missouri, Andalusia, wherever it may be in the world, insert that in. You want to be the person that everybody is saying go to, go to, go to. Now, how do you get to that stage? Well, number one, you either create a Facebook group yourself, so you are the admin, you are the host of the party that everybody's attending. So when that comes into your group, then because you're the admin, because you provided help, assistant, etc. Then you will be the one that people naturally go to. And again, if you want to see examples of this, just look in the hospitality community when anybody asks for a website designer. Number two, you find Facebook groups maximum five, because it can be kind of time consuming and you focus on those five. Now, my, my advice would be free. Start off with free if you've never done this, and you would pick one on location, one on your niche, and just one you really enjoy being in, okay? And what you will do is every day, five days a week or six or seven days a week, you will go and spend five minutes in each of those groups. And all you are looking to do, you are not looking to sell, you are looking to provide support, help, advice. Now this support, help and advice, the questions that you're answering may not be directly resulting in what you do, but in turn, by you simply appearing every single day, showing your face, giving help and advice and not looking to sell on the back of it, your karma levels will go up and up and up and again. If you do this over a month, six months or a year, by the time it's got to that stage, you will become the go to. So if at that one time that one golden nugget of a question comes in, where do you recommend for accommodation in X? Because you've been appearing and helping, support and providing value in that group, people will naturally go, go to, go to. Check this out, check this out. Now, there's a couple of things that you need to do to help you along the way. Number one, make sure you go and watch the training all about how to make Facebook so simpler for you. There's a way that's going to save you a lot of time that you will filter every group by recent posts because you don't want it by recent activity because there could be a post from maybe four years ago that someone's bumped up there that's got no relevance. You want the latest post to do that. Number two, optimize your Facebook profile so that when anybody clicks on your personal profile to find out more about you, it is super clear who you are and what you do for a living. So many people don't do this, and I talked about this recently in your Facebook bio, you've got about 200 characters where you can say location where you are. You can put your website, you can put your business, your link to your own Facebook group, whatever you want to put in there. And again in the extended bio, you can actually tag in your business. So it's easy to click to and again to triple that up. When you're posting on your personal social media, just start linking people back to your business page, say one every three post. You know, Russell Brunson talks about this a lot. He said everything that you post on social media, you should be five categories. So the five categories, your five passions, the five consistent themes, that you're going to talk about. So I guess if I was to bring it back to myself, it would be obviously hospitality, it would be number two, family. You see a lot of family content from me because that's like my passion, you know, that's what I love, you know, I adore more than anything else and I think they're hilarious and I love to document our business. So, you know, hospitality, travel, family, football. I love football. And five is like funny images, funny videos. I love seeing things that make me laugh. So I consistent with those five things, I never really steer away from that. I always sort of stick in and around that. So travel, family, funny videos, memes, whatever you want to put them in. Hospitality, you know, I saw and that's, that's personal and business, you know what I mean? So this is where people will go to find out more about you. And if you're consistently talking about those five key things and people will start to adhere to you. You know, it's just like going to the pub again, going back to that Cheers reference. If you go to your local regular and you know, you get to know people in and around, you start to gravitate and levitate towards the people that you think are going to be more matched to, to your likes and, you know, likes and things that you do, et cetera. So find the free location niche. So niche could be, for example, pet friendly, family friendly, city properties, contractor based, it could be adults only, solos, whatever. It could be, find a niche around that group. So that's going to be more than just localized, it could be nationalized, it could be worldwide. And then you've got the one that you just like spending time in. So that could be just an entrepreneurial group, it could be just a business owner group, it could be just a local business networking group, it could be any of those things. But get free. Save them on your phone, save them on your browser, on your desktop, and just every day put it into your routine again. They say if you do some every day for 30 days, it sort of becomes more than just a thing you force and just becomes natural. And I think after you do it for 260 days straight, it literally just becomes like brushing your teeth. So just do it every day. Set a timer, set an alarm to do it and you can do it at any point in the day. Doesn't matter whether it's morning, afternoon or night, it literally doesn't matter. Whatever works best for you and just do that. Now that's what I did at the granary when we first got online. Facebook groups were still really new, but there are still plenty of them. So I just got in there on the local Facebook group that had tons and tons of people in there, which was a for sale group, and every day people were coming in and asking questions and whatnot. And I just made sure that I was answering every now and again, adopting the 8020 rule. Every now and again I would put in that we've got something happening at the granary, whether it was an event, tea rooms or whatever. And over time, I would say with by three months, in which, you know, pretty much, you know, 90 days or whatever, people then were starting to click through, saw that as manager at the granary and just naturally coming to us. And then what happened towards the end was that I didn't even need to be in those groups and I still don't need to be in those groups because if someone comes in and asks a question as far as accommodation, you know, or I'm coming to Scarborough, who do you rec. Who would you recommend to stay? I guarantee that the granary will always get. I mentioned. And it's the same with Boostly. I adopted the exact same philosophy of Boostly. I did it at a larger scale with Booster because I was used to this. I created my own, my own house, my own party in the hospitality community. But also as well, I focused on a couple of the key Facebook groups around the niche, whether it's Airbnb ones or holiday let's or whatever. And I just made myself present in that, answering questions, not selling. And then over time, now you can go into pretty much any Facebook group and you can see the question, who do you recommend for a website designer? And I guarantee that Boostly will get at least one mention. And I don't, I'm not even in those groups really anymore. I'm either just focusing on hospitality communities because it's got so busy, the Boostly academy, you know, or X, Y and Z. But I really don't need to be in there. I just get the tag and I come in and just give it to say thank you, you know, to say thank you for mentioning me. Give them like a high five, you know, never, never, never ignore a high five. Doesn't matter how busy you are. So this is what's called the go to method. So let me know below. Have you got your own Facebook group? Are you appearing in it every single day? Can you keep giving advice? Now? When I say about the Facebook group, I don't go into the hospitality community every day and say get a boostly website, get a boostly website, come and join whatever here and there. It's very much. I adopt that 8020 philosophy where I provide a lot of content for free. I do posts that get everybody engaging and talking and chatting and whatnot. And then in turn, sometimes I may mention something that's coming up or an idea or whatever. But you know, again, what you need to be doing is showing up every day, maybe starting some engaging posts to get people chatting, to get people coming back to the group, get people enjoying coming back to the group. And then when you've got someone in there asking for advice or asking for X, Y and Z, and if you can offer that, then that's when you've earned the right to do so. So please tell me what you're doing. Have you got a group? Are you adopting this sort of method as such? You know, get a Google sheet or just get, get. Find free groups and go for it and just give it three months, just give it three months and see what, what happens. So let me know in the comments what you're doing, if you're doing how you're doing. Any questions? Thank you very much.
