Hi there, it's Lyn from Kilbride Cottage here near St Andrews in Fife. I really hate doing these videos, but motivated to do so because I really enjoyed doing the 10 day boostly challenge. I've learned loads about social media about how to get a better reach, particularly for me, about the importance of getting engagement on posts. I've tended to put things up before where I'm just kind of making statements or giving information about events. So certainly one of the takeaways for me is about being more engaging in the social media posts to actually get people to interact. I took a fairly low risk approach, didn't put up a stay. I put up for the competition, some Marks and Spencer's vouchers, but I'm well pleased with the results. My boost didn't work, so without any advertising, just straight on the post alone, I think I reckon I've probably had about 8,000, eight and a half thousand reach about 200, 300 comments. And I've also had, I think at least 100 additional page likes where I'll get some ongoing contact. So far I've only got about 15 email subscribers, but one of the interesting things is I'm still getting people subscribing to email after the competition's closed. So that's really useful because they must well be people who are interested in the cottage and interested in staying in touch and not just interested in the campaign. So a big thanks to Mark Simpson for running the 10 day challenge. It was hard work, it was full on. I feel as if I've been glued to my phone and my chrome pad to get all the tasks done, but definitely worth it. Learned a load of new skills about how to use Canva. I've been meaning to sign up to a mailchimp account for a while, so it's given me the boost to go on and do that. So, yep, thank you very much for letting me take part and upwards and onwards. I'm just looking forward now to hopefully getting some bookings in on the back of the campaign. So thanks very much, Mark.
