After attending that workshop they became much more interested in short-term rentals (specifically Airbnb), which Zev says changed their path.
We were both selling commercial real estate, Melissa was selling apartments, I was selling retail properties. And Melissa said, hey, Zeb, there's this free workshop on how to start an Airbnb. Why don't we go take a look and see what they got? And I'm really interested in that business. I was a little hesitant at first, and then I said, okay, why not? Let's see what it is. And that's really changed the course for us. Ever since that free workshop, we started getting a lot more interest into the short term rental space, specifically Airbnb at that time.
